CHAPTER 12

“how do you like the place princess?”

Daniel brought her in a secluded area not so far from the fire camp. Jeongyeon knows the place, it is their training camp. This is where Taecyeon announces that Kang Daniel is her buddy. She personally like the place because it is quiet and away from the observing eyes.

“but before we start, can you promise me that you’ll spare my foot from being stepped on?”

Jeongyeon can’t help but gave a heartily laugh. “I’ll try Daniel, I’ll try”

“now princess, may I have this dance?” Daniel bowed and laid his hand in front of Jeongyeon to ask her permission.

Jeongyeon chuckled on his gentlemanly gesture then accept his hands

“how about the music?” Jeongyeon asks

“I got that covered”Jeongyeon saw Daniel considered for a moment then started humming a piece that was unfamiliar to her, although she had no idea what it was. It was lilting and wistful, and she could have sung the melody if she had wished. Jeongyeon smiles as she was amused by him
“Alright?” He raised his eyebrows inquiringly.
“Yes.”

As they took their first steps, Jeongyeon felt his clear lead. They smiled, realizing how well they spoke to each other even without saying a word. Daniel lifted his arm for a single turn and Jeongyeon spun effortlessly.

 He smiled again still humming, and she could see his mind turning, thinking of fancier moves to try.

He spun her twice in an underarm turn, then in the opposite direction. they drifted side by side, as if ice skating. Up went his arms into a turn, and once again Jeongyeon followed Daniels lead.

His moves were more complicated than anything she had known, but she was excited by the challenge.

both felt this wonderful chemistry between them as they continued to glide and spin and twirl with grace around the floor.

It was effortless and perfect, and he played it through to the end, closing with the softest and most delicate chords, which hung and faded in the quiet ground like the grains of dust raining through the evening light.

As the song softly ended, they both beamed with delight. they breathless with exhilaration. He had shown her how beautiful a dance the waltz can be.

Jeongyeons head was spinning with delight and her body tingled with electricity. Jeongyeon was touched. It was all she had wanted. He did not move until there was complete silence again, then he pulled back a little to face her without saying anything,

“told you. you can dance” Daniel smiles

Jeongyeon softly punch Daniels arm. “yah this would be the last time youll ever saw me dance”

“but you did so well”  he said as he pulled her into a log to take a seat

“What was that piece?” She curiously asked

“beautiful”

“what?”

“I mean the song was entitled beautiful”

“what is it all about?”

“it is a song that is full of regrets, a song that missing the people you love so much” Daniel smiled bitterly
