CHAPTER 17

“yah! Ong Seongwoo, where the heck are we going! We are going to loose Noona and Daniel hyung!” Jihoon complained while pulling himself away from the older

“Just shut up Hoonie, what is important right now is our safety- your safety!” Seongwoo bickered back while grabbing Jihoon away from the store

“But Noona-“

“both of them are strong! Heck, Even Daniel alone is strong enough!”Seongwoo looked at the surrounding to make sure that they far enough from the store. “and let me remind you that Jisung-hyung asked me to take care of you!”

“so that’s it! Because of that stupid promise? How about Noona? Who would protect her?” Jihoon glared at him

Seongwoo sighs. “look Honnie, don’t you get it? The two of them need to atleast talk and fix their problem before we reached hades lair”

“what do you mean?”The younger asks confusedly

“cant you feel the tension between them? Though they are not bickering, only insensitive people wouldn’t feel that theres problem within them”Seongwoo explicated

The younger got quiet and went into thinking. After a few moment, Jihoon breath out. “fine, so where are we going now? Noona said that we will meet tomorrow morning at the orphanage”

“hmmm, how about we find a place to sleep and buy things that we may need tomorrow? And since we already here, how about we look around the city. Right?” Seongwoo act cutely at the younger

Jihoon gagged at the olders gesture, “fine, not beacause I was persuaded by your disgusting aegyo just now but because we don’t have anything to do currently”

Seongwoo just laughed out loud by the youngers antics and ruffled his hair.

“Minhyun… oppa?” Jeongyeon mumbled

“Jeongyeon?!” Minhyun guy smiled as he confirmed that he is indeed to talking to right person.

“oh my gosh. I cant believe it it. You are here and alive! How are you?” Minhyun gave Jeongyeon a tight hug and patted the girls shoulder

“oppa!”Jeongyeon said cheerfully and hugged the older back. “I’m fine hyung!”

“I’m glad that you survived” Minhyuns’ voice cracked and Jeongyeon rubbed his back gently

“I’m also glad that you are alive oppa”She answered softly

They both heard someone coughing on their side. Jeongyeon and Minhyun looked at it and discovered that it was Daniel who is breaking their happy reunion

, Jeongyeon cursed inwardly. She totally forgot about Daniel

“and you are?..”Minhyun is trying to think

No oppa, don’t say it. Jeongyeon wanted to tall the older but she is too late

“Euigeon? Is that you?”Minhyun smiled so brightly

Dammit! Jeongyeon winced. “opp-“

“minhyun hyung! I thought you wouldn’t remember me!” Daniel exclaimed and surprised Jeongyeon

Jeongyeon looked at the guy and He just winked at her

“aigoo Eugeion, when did you got back from America?” Minhyun hugged the guy in question

“just two days ago hyung, I came with Jeongyeonnie” Daniel smiled back

Minhyuns back is facing Jeongyeon so he wouldn’t notice how stunned Jeongyeon look right now

Did his memory came back? Jeongyeon wanted to ask Daniel but she is afraid to do that

“what are you doing?” She instead mouthed to Daniel

Daniel smiled back then mouthed back to her. “lets talk later”

Jeongyeon felt her hands got cold, she is now nervous. Did Daniels memory really came back?  Since when?

She looked at Daniel and Minhyun who is right now done hugging

“I can’t belive that both of you are here again” Jeongyeon noticed that Minhyuns voice broke again

“aishh hyung, why are getting emotional here in the street. People may think that we are bullying you” Daniel joked and Minhyun laughed at it

“youre right” Minhyun sniffed” how about we go that café so that we could talk and I could drama all I want. I really miss you both, a lot” he said while pointing a fancy café across the street

The two of them agreed and accompanied the older in the said café

“so how are you?” Minhyuns asks as soon as they sat down in the café

“we are doing good hyung, Jeongyeon and I are in college” Daniel cheerfully answered

“really? That’s good. How about daewhi?” Minhyun leaned forward and looked at Jeongyeon who is being quiet for a while

“Daewhi. He…”Jeongyeon got flustered as she doesn’t know how to break the bad news to minhyun

“oh Daewhi is also doing great hyung” Daniel answered and Jeongyeon snapped to Daniel. “Daewhi is now grown boy, the kid is a musical genius hyung I’ll tell you”

What are you saying! Daewhi is dead. Jeongyeon wanted to say but then he felt Daniel hand on her hand. Daniel squeezed it as if he is saying to her that He can handle this

“oh that’s nice, I knew that Daewhi is a smart kid since before. Where is he by the way?” Minhyun smiled genuinely

“Daewhi is busy with his music, he is in the rebellious stage right now” Daniel beamed

“hahah must be a headache.”Minhyun laughed then remembered something “ how about I treat you both a meal right now”

“eyy hyung there is no need” Daniel tried to stop the older

“I insist, I’m your hyung remember?” Minhyun ruffled Daniels hair then left them to order

“what are you doing?” Jeongyeon whispered as soon as the older disappeared on their table

“its called white lies Jeongyeonnie” Daniel whispered back and Jeongyeon could smell a minty flavour from him

“and why do we need to lie?” Jeongyeon ignored it and glared back to Daniel

“because it would be so awkward if we announced on that kind hyung that Euigeon and Daewhi is infact dead. Did you saw how happy he is when he called me that name?” Daniel still whispered back

“but still-“

“are you two having a lovers quarrel?” Minhyun worriedly asks. He is back and now carrying a tray with a lot of food in it

“lovers quarrel?” Jeongyeon wanted to react when all of a sudden she felt a hands on her shoulder. The hands owner is no other than Daniel

“you caught us hyung” Daniel giggled like a teenager caughted by his mom. “we are just having our usual banter. Weve been like that since we are kids you know”

Minhyun laughed back and Jeongyeon couldn’t anything but smiled forcefully at the guy beside her

“yeah, I clearly remember how you love to before”minhyun said as he put the food to their table

“I did that hyung?” Daniel asked innocently

“you did, you often teases Jeongyeon about her being a tomboy” Minhyun mused back

“I am not a tomboy oppa!” This time Jeongyeon decided to join the conversation

“of course your not!” Daniel ruffled her hair. “you are my princess remember?”

Jeongyeon couldn’t answer back and blushed from Daniels words

“aigoo don’t flirt in front of me” Minhyun pretended to cover his eyes

“we are not oppa” Jeongyeon panicked and she playfully throw some fries towards Daniels direction

“yah don’t play with your food” Daniel just laughed back

“shut up Kang, why don’t you eat your food peacefully”Jeongyeon once more tried to throw some fries but Daniel stopped her and intertwined his finger to hers

Jeongyeon panicked by his sudden gesture. “c-can you let go?” she could felt her face blushed right now

“no” Daniel refused childlishly

“I won’t throw you food again, promise” Jenngyeon pulled her hand but the guy refused

“o-oppa” Jeongyeon looked at Minhyun who is silently smiling at them. “can you get this puppy off me”

Minhyun just laughed. “stop teasing her Euigeon, let the poor girl eat her food peacefully”

Daniel smiled so sweetly at her then let her hands go

“so where are the two of you heading?” Minhyun asks as he sliced his piece of stake

“uhh. Right now we are not so sure. Our previous engagement was moved tomorrow right Jeongyeonnie?” Daniel answered while munching his piece of meat

Jeongyeon nodded as she agreed

“so youre saying that the two of you are free till tonight?” Minhyun beamed

Jeongyeon knows that kind of reaction and she knows that she should refuse and that they are not free right now, because the more they spend time to Minhyun right now the more risks that Daniels memory may comeback

“About that …” Jeongyeon thinks of an excuse

“yeah we are difinitely free hyung? why? do you want to hang with us tonight” it seems that Daniel once again decided onsidedly on his own

Jeongyeon looked at Minhyuns happy face so as Daniels. She sighs, it doesn’t hurt to agree right?

“thats great!just give me a moment to to tell my staff that I’ll clock out early today”

“this café is yours hyung?”Daniel was amused

Minhyun scratches his head shyly. “yeah”

“Daebak! You’re a rich man hyung!” Daniel grinned and gave Minhyun a thumbs up. And Minhyun laughed preservedly

“Yah, Youre being too loud Niel” Jeongyeon smack the guys arm

“what?” Daniel playfully respond to her

“Niel?” Minhyun looked at them confusedly

“yeah hyung?” Daniel looked him back

“why did she call you Niel? Isnt you name Eugeion?” Minhyun sat down again and looked at them questioningly

The two of them went silent for seconds then Jeongyeon laughed awkwardly. “i-its his English name oppa right Niel-ah?” Jeongyeon looked at Daniel and giving him a signal

“yeah hyung that’s right, right now my English name is Daniel Kang. I often use that name because americans find Eugieon too difficult to pronouce” Daniel explained

Minhyun looked at them then smiled, it seems that he is convinced with their lie

“okay, I’ll go now. Wait up okay? Finish your food” Minhyun instructed as he proceeded to the kitchen

“what now?” Jeongyeon asks as soon as Minhyun left their table

“what?” Daniel asks innocently as he focused himself in the food in front of them

Jeongyeon wanted slap him right now but instead she rolled her eyes

“so whats the plan? Are we going to escape? Or think of an excuse to-“

“eat”Daniel ordered as he offered Jeongyeon a piece of meat

“what?” Jeongyeon scowled

“I said eat” Daniels fork is still waiting for her with a piece of meat

“are freaking kidding me Kang?! I am in the middle of my delimma here and you told me to eat that meat?” Jeongyeon wanted to yell at him but she knows that it won’t do any good to her

Daniel sighs. “I am not kidding jeongyeon when I told you to eat. You may not noticed it but you haven’t touch any food since we left the camp the other day. And don’t tell me that you have no apetite”

Just like as if a cue. Jeongyeon felt her stomach grumble

“eat. Believe me when I say that this meat is the best steak we ever tasted” Daniel Instructed again but this time more gentle that before

Jeongyeon looked at him then the food. She accepted the food then munched it carefully. Daniel was right, the tenderness and its juiciness is just so perfect on her pallet

Daniel smiled at her and offered her a meat again

“so persistent” she mumbled

“and you are too hardheaded, but that’s okay too it makes you look cute”

“I could feed myself you know”Jeongyeon ignored the word cute and attempted to steal the utensil on Daniels hand but the guy refused

“nah, I want to spoil my girlfriend right now” Daniel winked

Jeongyeon rolled her eyes for the nth time that day and hoping that her face doesn’t blushed. “girlfriend my ” she mumbled but let Daniel feed her anyway

Daniel giggled. “cute” he said again

Minhyun brought them to his apartment that just blocks away from the café. The three of them talk about their lives mostly about their past.Jeongyeon observes that Daniel seems so good when relating himself as Eugeion (that’s surprised her more actually). Daniel and Minhyuns interests clicked from foods to cats, So when Minhyun invite them to spend the night on his place, Jeongyeon wasn’t so surprise anymore when Daniel Immediately agreed

“woah hyung, youre place is so clean unlike my cabin” Daniel commented and Minhyun just smiled at his compliment

“yeah, Youre cabin is way more dirtier that this one” Jeongyeon agreed

“yah, your cabin is not that clean too” Daniel pouted

“excuse you, my cabin is well maintained by Jih…yo” Jeongyeon smile vanish as soon as she remember the girl and Daniel noticed that and patted her shoulder

 “uhhh, sorry to interrupt but you guys is staying on a cabin?” Minhyun asks again bewilderedly

“uhhh… for summer camp oppa. We usually love to join summer camps!” Jeongyeon expounded

“oh that’s amazing, I wish I have gone one of those summer camps too” Minhyun remarked
