CHAPTER 4

When Jeongyeon thought that the chances of meeting again with a certain Kang Daniel are Zero, the opposite thing happened

A week after the monthly battle, she found the famous Kang Daniel sitting in her living room playing computer games with Woojin at 9 in the morning. Jeongyeon slept late the night before because she and Jihoon watch series of movies

By the time she woke up, she can hear shouting from the living room from her room.

“What are you doing here?” was the first words came out from as soon as she saw him comfortably sitting in front of her TV

“Good morning to you too” Daniel greeted him with a smile not looking away from the screen

“I know that my morning will be terrible after seeing you today,” she said sarcastically while preparing her cereals

“Nah, don’t be like that Jeongyeonnie,” Daniel said while defeating Woojins character in the game and the younger cursed at him

“Jeongyeonnie? I don’t remember that we are close-scratch that, I didn’t know that we are acquainted enough to call me that name Kang Daniel’’ she said while raising an eyebrow and eyeing Woojin for using foul language. And Woojin silently apologises

“And I didn’t remember I allowed you to received visitors aside from your brother Woojin?” she added

Woojin smiled at him guiltily while scratching his nape,”but Noona, sir D. sent him”

Sir D? Why would the director send the certain Kang Daniel here?

“Good mo-why are you here?” Jihoon gave the same reaction to Daniel when He sees him. Woojin laughed seeing his brothers messy bed hair

Jihoon ignored his twin and sat beside Jeongyeon who is already eating, “why is he here?” He asked her and only shrugged her shoulder as an answer, he repeated his question to Daniel

“Hyung, why are you here?”

She heard Daniel sighed as his character died. Daniel stood up and sat comfortably across the two of them

“I am here to relay sir D’s message” while leaning to his right hand, observing the both of them

Jeongyeon who isn’t comfortable with his action started to eat faster

“So whats the message?” Jihoon answered for her

“he said that this young lady here” Pointing at Jeongyeon,”should attend her training this afternoon together with Sangcheol and me.”

After hearing the message, Jeongyeon choked with her food. She was coughing so hard that Jihoon immediately offered her a glass of water, and she gladly accepts it

“I what?” she said as she recovered from coughing

“I said you are required to attend your training together with Sangcheol and me.”

“No, I won’t “She said shaking her head

“No? Are you sure?” He said while looking at Jeongyeon amused

“Yes, I’m sure.”

“Okay. He also said that if you refuse which is he knows it already, I must state to you the cons of refusing” he said while crossing his arms

“What is it?” Woojin joined their conversation

“He said that if you refused, he would bring back the twins and Jihyo into their original cabins since Jeonghan was so lonely these days.”

“He what???” Jihoon reacted and looked at her

Jeongyeon went silent and gulped her drinks; she knew that Mr D. is capable of doing that. She also knew that he knew that she would accept if that type condition is given to her

“Noona…”Woojin said with worried eyes

“Should I tell that him are okay with it?” Daniel said grinning

“Fine! Tell him that I accept his freaking condition” she conceded after a moment of silence

Daniel smiled, “Okay roger that”

“But why would he sent you?” Woojin asks after a few moments of silence.

“Because He said that I must fetch her for today’s training” He simply said

“And you simply agreed? Why not me, or Jihoon or Jihyo Noona?”

“Because I volunteered” He answered proudly

Jeongyeon just stared dumbly up at him

Why would you volunteer?

It seems that Jihoon read her thought and asked in her stead, “Why would you volunteer hyung?”

Daniel smiled sweetly. Jeongyeon could swear she would judo-toss this guy in front of her onto the table if he did that one more time

“Because… I want to befriend her.”

Jeongyeon deadpanned. This day is going to be a headache.

And true to his word, Daniel refused to leave at her cabin even with all the threatening (yes by Jeongyeon and Jihoon) and assurance that she will attend the training.

She locked herself in her room and tried to read some books to ease her mind. The book was so intense that she didn’t realise that is already lunchtime, as a cue her stomach growls.

She decided to follow her stomach rather than getting hungry because of the fact that there is a certain stranger in her house. As she stepped outside her room, she can smell an aroma of delicious food.

Is Jihyo back already? She thought. Because aside from Jihyo, the three of them are pretty useless in the kitchen. They only how to appreciate and eat delicious food.

When she arrived at the kitchen, she saw Jihoon excitedly setting up the table with Woojin and Kang Daniel with an apron?

“At last, you got out from that cave of yours, I was worried that we would have to drag you out for lunch,” Daniel said as soon as he saw her, “you are on time, sit.”

Jeongyeon followed him silently for she is starving. The twins also positioned themselves preparing to eat. Daniel busied himself serving the dishes. He cooked three food on the table. The Kimchi, soft tofu stew and japchae. The food looks so delicious that she was so sure that Woojin is drooling right now

“Let’s eat “Daniel quietly said as he was also preparing to eat.

On Jeongyeons opinion, the meal is perfect and surprisingly delicious. She looked at the twins; it seems that they like it as well.

“So how was it?” Daniel ask worriedly

“It was…delicious” Jeongyeon doesn’t like to lie especially if they are given delicious food.

Daniel smiled satisfied with her answer and continued eating.

As soon as they finished eating, Daniel ordered her to change into comfortable clothes (which she begrudgingly followed) and he immediately dragged her to training grounds.

As soon as they stepped outside, she wore he black cap and her specks.

“Why are you wearing that?” Daniel curiously asked

Jeongyeon didn’t answer him. Instead, she put her earphones listen to some music. On the side of her eyes, she saw Daniel chuckled at her action. Despite that Daniel announced that he wants to be her friend, Jeongyeon is not interested in his offer. That’s why she is stopping his ways of getting to know her, and she started it on not making even a simple conversation.

As they walk toward the training ground, He noticed that some campers curiously look at her-no they are looking at the guy beside her. Jeongyeon sighs and adjusts her cap to cover her face. He knew that Daniel is famous in the camp because why not? He is the son of almighty Poseidon. Uncomfortable with the attention, she walks two times faster than before. Even so, silently, Daniel immediately catches up with her.

Those damn long legs she thought

They reached their training ground. Jeongyeon is thankful that the training ground assigned to them is much far from the common ground, so she doesn’t need to worry about the spectators.

Jeongyeon removed her specks as well as her cap. They are greeted by two people; the first one is the same age as them: Sangcheol and the other one is much older, Ok Taecyeon; their master-instructor in sword fighting

Sangcheol greeted him with a smile, and she also nodded as a response. She saw Daniel give Sangcheol a special handshake.

“Long time no see Jeongyeon” Trainer Ok greeted her

“Yeah, nice seeing you again” she simply answered

“now, how about you three line up” Taecyeon ordered

“Have the three of you wondered why you are here?” He said while eyeing at the three of them

“Because the three of us offspring’s of three great Gods?” Sangcheol answers

“Pretty close but not quite “he replies,” I give you a hint, monthly battle game.”

“I knew it. It’s because I mess at the lake? Did the Naiads complain?” Daniel worriedly asked

“Well, that’s one “He patted Daniels shoulder, “how about you Sangcheol?”

“Uhmm I lost control this time?”

“That’s two” Taecyeon

“So what did I do?” Jeongyeon asked as she bit her lower lip trying to recall what happened last weeks battle

“You young lady is the cause of Sangcheols rampage,” Taecyon said as he placed his hand on her shoulder “I believe you release one of your spirit guardian, correct?”

Ahhh Jeongyeon nodded

“I’m glad that you are aware because I believe you released him without thinking with the consequence” Taecyon continued, “you see, the three of you are offsprings of the three great Greek God. And among the campers here, the three of you are quite special, because the three of you possessed an unimaginable power.”

“You Sangcheol as we know can control wind. Daniel Just like you late brother Percy is capable of controlling water, and you Jeongyeon can see and control the Ghost and Living spirits around you. So what’s the problem?” Taecyon breath

Daniel summoned not just a part but a WHOLE lake that makes the Naiad pissed because it only not happen once but multiple of times. Jeongyeon, I know you possessed some spirit guardians but since you lack training when worst happens you end up sacrificing yourself, or they went haywire, but mostly out of control right?” The older said while eyeing at her

“So the best solution we can think of is to train the three of you, not only on sword fighting but also in combat and controlling of power.”
