CHAPTER 19

Daniel packed his things as fast as he can. He only grabbed the basic things He needs in Korea.because obviously they are not going there on vacation. He is rushing, because who knows when will Jeongyeon escape again even though Jisung is guarding the girl right now.

As he exited his cabin he saw a little note under his doorframe. And even though he is in hurry, he has this inkling feeling that he should atleast read it. He picked up the paper and opened it. He knows whose handwritten it is- it’s Jeongyeons

It reads

Euigeon.

I am not asking for your forgiveness but please understand that I have to do this for myself and for you

Sorry.

Daniels brows forrowed as he doesn’t understand the letter. He read it again and again, but the more he read it, the more he couldn’t understand it

Did Jeongyeon left it there recently? Why would it be on his cabin? He is sure enough that it is not for him

You have no time for this Daniel, He reminded himself. He chucked the piece of paper on his bag and run towards the camps entrance where Jisung and Jeongyeon waiting.

He felt relief as soon as he saw the two of them from the distance. Both of them are wearing a serious face

“….just like you said, we are family. And family protect each other. So trust me when I say that youll be fine, all of us wil be fine. Just stick together with us. Okay?” He heard Jisung said to Jeongyeon. He smiles, so very like Jisung

He saw Jeongyeon nodded “hyung about Daniel…”

Daniels steps halted as soon as he haerd his name. Are they talking about me?

“I know. I won’t tell him for now. But I want you to be honest with him and tell him the truth” the older pulled her into a brotherly hug then patted her hair gently and Jeongyeon nodded again. Both them remained in the same position for a few moments

Truth? What are they talking about? Why am I involved? He thought for a second. When he couldn't think of anything he decided to show himself to them

“what are two doing?” he interrupted. He knows he looked so confused. He looked her into her eyes

“oh niel, you here. Are you done packing?” Jisung separated himself to her from hugging. And jeongyeon avoided his gaze and decided to sit in the dead tree near them

Am I missing something?

Daniel sighs. Still looking at the girl he asks “yeah. I only have few things to pack. Is Seongwoo already here?”

Daniel woke up in the middle of the night when He hears someones voice

“wake up hyung” The voice said

Daniel opened his eyes and saw a young adolescent in besides him and facing jeongyeon. “who are you?” he asks however the boy looks so familiar

“that’s not important right now” the boy answers and look at Jeongyeon. “noona is having a nightmare”

“Noona?” Daniel was surprised as he tries to process who is the person in front of him.

“are you by chance… Daewhi?” he guesses since he already met Jinyoung. Therefore the ghost in front of him is either Sungjae or Dewhi but he has this feeling that the person is the latter

He saw him nodded. “yeah but that is not important right now hyung, take care of Noona please. She wont calm down easily every time she had nighmares” the boy pleaded

“why wont you wake her up?” He asks

“I wont do it specially if you are here beside her. Hyung please” the boy begged

Daniel wanted to asks some question to the younger but he vanished

“sorry” the girl beside him mumbled and Daniel scoots near her

“Jeongyeon?” He called

“Euigeon…”her voice croaked

“Jeongyeon are you having a nightmare again?” He asks as he shakes her shoulder gently

“Daniel…” suddenly tears are starting to form on her eyes

“wake up! Youre having a nightmare” he repeated but louder this time

“sorry… I’m so sorry” she muttered repeatedly

“Jeongyeon…”

“sorry”she sobbed

“yah Yoo jeongyeon!!!!” he raised his voice at the same time patted her cheeks

He felt a little bit relief when Jeongyeon gasped as she open her eyes

 “are you okay?” Daniel asks her with a worried face

“I am…” she looked at him somehow at a loss

“bad dreams?” Daniel asked even though he knows. Jeongyeon didn’t answer him back

Daniel sighed and stood up. He exited the room, he goes to the kitchen and took a glass and pour some water in it

Daewhi… why does it feel that the boy looks too familiar to him considering they are meeting for the first time

“is it because Jeongyeon told me the boys life story? Or maybe because He is the same age of my dongsaeng”He mumbled, “!” he exclaimed as he didn’t noticed that the water is overflowing on his glass and forgot whats bothering him earlier

“Minhyun… oppa?” He heard Jeongyeon mumbled

Minhyun? another name that sounds familiar he thought

“Jeongyeon?!” he saw Minhyun guy smiled as he confirmed that he is indeed to talking to right person.

“oh my gosh. I cant believe it it. You are here and alive! How are you?” he almost reacted when Minhyun gave Jeongyeon a tight hug and patted the girls shoulder

“oppa!”Jeongyeon said cheerfully and hugged the older back. “I’m fine hyung!”

 ! Can you let her go now?

“I’m glad that you survived”He noticed Minhyuns’ voice cracked and Jeongyeon rubbed his back gently

“I’m also glad that you are alive oppa”the girl answered softly
