Dear Journal,

Today is Valentines Day by the way.

When I woke up this morning, I showered and dressed myself more than I usually do. I shampooed my hair twice, conditioned it twice and used 2 different body washes. I even put on moisturizer and a bit of tint on my lips today. I was gonna meet Seungcheol after school and I just want to look presentable and clean. Not that that was for him-- it was more like.. basic human decency. Yes. That.

He texted me last night that we need to meet to talk about something regarding the field trip and he says it's quite important since it concerns the kids. Teachers told me to go see him since he's the driver and he's a pretty important person.

When I arrived in School my colleagues noticed how I looked and teased me where am I heading and why am I so dressed. Since it's Valentines Day today, I was asked if Junhui is coming to go on a date with me. Sadly, Junhui has an interview with the US embassy and it couldn't be rescheduled to a later date. Thus, we couldn't see each other on this special day. 

In class, I made the kids cut out a big heart out of a piece of paper. I demonstrated how to draw a heart and use the scissor to cut it out. They followed me closely and slowly, they made their own. After that, I told them to put everything they love inside the heart. Draw them, write them, whatever way they want to express their love. They'll be taking the cards home to their families at the end of the day.

I walked past Sungmin and the child drew numbers and math. The future is bright. The troublemakers drew basketballs and tennis
