Title: 5/5
Playing God - The title reminds me so much of the song Playing God by Paramore which led to me writing this review with the song playing in the background. So the title 110% matched the fic which I loved. In the fic, it addressed how the Grim Reaper could bring it upon himself to serve justice for others like a god when he's anything but. I thought this was really fascinating.
Summary/Description: 10/10 -
The summary already gave us a brief glimpse of what we'll be seeing in this fic, a gruesome murder, a detective trying to solve the case and a clever murderer, we were introduced to who the murderer is, the question is, is he really? Which is the closing question in the description, The description worked really well in selling the fic, it was fitting to the plot, it gave us our first glimpse of mystery. The summary did really well of giving us an idea of what the plot would entail.
Plot cohesiveness: 20/20 -
So the plot and pacing of the story are actually quite good, there is no slow parts or filler content for me. We didn't have to wait for 10 chapters to see the police figure out who the culprit is, interestingly enough now that we know who the murder for the 6th crime; we would now see how Woohyun tries to evade the police to get away with the murder of Kang Junghyuck. I'm really looking forward to this, though I have my suspicions of who Woohyun's lover is, I really want to know who he is.
We were introduced to the past crimes of the Grim Reaper but we are really unsure of whether it was really him that committed the crimes, is the lover an accomplice in his crime? Has he ever committed in murders in place of the Grim Reaper, what is there a backstory? I personally love murder-suspense-thrillers so I look forward to the rest of this story so much.
The plot isn't boring nor is it slow, it's pretty much well-paced. Key plot points are revealing earlier than I expected, I thought it would have been more drawn out and the fact that isn't is a bad thing, I'm not the most patient person. Each
