Jennie’s POV.

“We are so sorry that you had to go through that, Miss Kim.” The old man in front of me bowed down. “He will get the punishment he deserves at home. You can be sure of that.”

“You don’t have to apologize, Mr. Lee. You didn’t do anything wrong.” I bowed back.

“No. It’s partly my fault. I didn’t teach him good morals.” He sighed. “Can you tell me where Lisa is? I want to apologize to her as well.”

“It’s okay, Mr. Lee. I just hope that this will never happen again.”

“That, I can assure you, Miss Kim.” He nodded and bowed again. “Please give Lisa my deepest apology.”

“I will.”

Joey is suspended for a month. The correct punishment is to expel but his dad begged me to allow Joey a second chance.

Joey’s dad seems like a humble and respectable man. I pitied him, so I agreed. I think Lisa wouldn’t mind that either.

At least this bully incident is now behind us.

Walking out of the principal’s office, I saw Chaeyoung leaving the teacher’s lounge.

“Chaeyoung!” I called out to her, waving my hand.

“Oh, hey Jennie.” She greets me back. “What were you doing in the principal’s office?”

“I was talking to Joey’s dad and the principal.”

“Oh, about that bastard?” She grinned.

“Yeah.”

“So, what did he get?”

“Was gonna be expelled. But the dad begged me to give him a second chance.”

“And?”

“Well, I agreed.”

“What did he get instead?”

“A month suspension.”

“You said a lot of about him but you’re actually a big softie, Jennie.” Chaeyoung smiled.

“What? Am not.”

“You are.”

“Am not.”

“You are, Jennie. Don’t deny it.”

“…” I relented. “What are you doing here anyway?”

“To get this.” Chaeyoung hold up a paper.

I took a look. At the top of the page, there is a big purple star with a few cute curvy lines.

“Sign up form?”

“Uhuh.”

“What for?”
