BoA sighed frustrated as she locked up her front door. She was late for work again and this time she couldn’t find a credible excuse. It was Monday and just like every Monday, Yoochun would be the one taking Yoobin to school since she was still at his house. So she shouldn’t be late.

BoA started running to the bus stop after checking her watch and realizing that maybe, just maybe, she could made it on time.

But aside from all that she was happy that she got to talk with Yoobin in the early morning to know that she was ok and ready for school.

She still couldn’t believe how being a mother had changed her life so much, giving her another perspective and making her worry all the time because of her baby.

She knew that Yoochun was a good father to Yoobin. He was the most excited when BoA told him that the baby was a girl and during all these years he had done as promised and taken responsibility for her.

But BoA couldn’t help but worry since he was still a player. At first she was shocked that he had agreed to have Yoobin during the weekends, but then she discovered that he had parties during the week. And still she worried that he would bring home any of his girls while Yoobin was there.

But she couldn’t worry about that at the moment since the bus had arrived. She got in, not caring that it was full of people pulling and pushing because she was already late.

So when a body collided with her she lost her balance and almost hit her head on the window, but it didn’t happen as a hand covered her head from the impact.

She turned to look at the owner of the hand and she saw him.

She blinked making sure she was seeing the right person.

The unique features she had always admired were still there, the black hair and the pale skin. Those deep eyes behind the elegant glasses he was wearing and that built body he had always worked on.

But what touched her more were the memories. Like flashes in her mind she pictured their images.

Him holding her hand, caressing her hair, kissing her lips.

“BoA?”

His soft voice brought her back to the crowded bus she was in.

And she blushed, feeling embarrassed of staring at him without saying a word.

“Hi, Jae…joong” She ended with a nervous smile.

“Hi!” He said with an exited tone after making sure she was the right person.

BoA still smiled nervously and her heart did a flip when he smiled back at her.

How could she forget that smile?

It was that smile that had made her fall in love with him.

He had always been Jae, during all those years in the town, but this time seeing him in the bus she had realized he was Jaejoong.

More the ten years have passed, and she felt grateful that he could still smile at her even when they had lost contact long ago.

“So you still live in Seoul…” He started, making her look at him without daydreaming. “I thought you had gone to America…” He finished moving closer to her with his hand still between the window and her head as his body protected her from the pushing crowd.

“Umm yeah, glad to see you here…” She said softly wanting to hit her head against the window to erase that nervous smile she had.

She shouldn’t be acting like this. It had been years since she saw him and years since she let go of him. Then why was she acting like a teenager in front of her crush? She hadn’t even acted like that when they were teenagers and that made her feel more embarrassed.

So BoA just turned her body to the side trying to create more space between them before he could say something.

“Yeah, I came from Japan a couple of days ago, I…” He was about to continue but he stopped looking at BoA’s terrified face.

“My bus stop…I have to go!” She said going passed him and pushing the crowd with all her strength until she reached the door and got off the bus.

But through it all Jaejoong could only blink and mutter a ‘goodbye’, surprised by BoA’s sudden action.

And it was just a moment after the bus left that BoA’s eyes widened when she realized what she had done.

She didn’t say goodbye to him.

And most importantly…she didn’t ask for a phone number, an address, an email address…nothing…nothing at all.

What were the chances of meeting him again?

In the big city, in the crowded bus or streets…

She felt dumb, allowing herself to be in this situation.

But she couldn’t complain about it since she was already late for work.

And she cursed her fate since the elevator was slower than normal and her desk was in the tenth floor so it would have been worse to run up there.

So when the doors opened she practically jumped out of it to her desk with the clock pointing 8:10 am.

She was late.

But it was just ten minutes late, right? The tolerance was five minutes so there shouldn’t be a problem, right? The supervisor wasn’t there to notice it either…so there was no problem, right?

“Mrs. Lee, I guess BoA’s clock must be broken since she never seems to arrive on time.” said the tall blonde girl that had made a riot when BoA decided to dye her hair too.

BoA had never liked her and she had always thought her voice was the most annoying thing in the world.

But she couldn’t retort as Mrs. Lee called her to her office.

It was supposed to be a good day.

She had talked to Yoobin.

She had met Jaejoong after all this time.

But she was the only one to blame for ruining her day.

She needed to learn to wake up earlier or it would be the end of another job for her.

And she couldn’t allow that.

So walking to pick Yoobin from school she started thinking of new ways of waking up, but her mind was taking her to another place.

Will she be able to meet Jaejoong again even when she was dumb enough to leave without asking him for any information?

Was he staying in Seoul for good or returning to Japan?

Had he completed his dream of becoming a manga writer?

And moreover….

Why was she so excited about this encounter when every time she saw their pictures, everything about him looked like a long lost memory?
