"In my head, you're the only one that I can see"

Quadruple H (HAHAH SORRY I JUST HAD TO) stood outside one of the practice rooms of the Produce 101 training centre and peeked inside the room through the large glass door.

"I can't exactly see their faces, only their backs..." Hyuna murmured as the three younger members all nodded in agreeance.

"Who do you hope to see in your team?" the cameraman asked, just as they were about to head into the practice room.

"I really want to see Daehwi on the team! He was the centre at first right? He has great stage presence!" Hui replied.

"Do you know who else wants to see Daehwi on our team?" E'Dawn said while wiggling his eyebrows towards Hayeon.

Hayeon slightly punched E'Dawn on the arm, only to get teased from the rest of the team.

"Hey, I didn't say anything! Why the punch?" "Ayee Hayeon, are you admitting before getting exposed?" "Hayeon~ You're so innocent!!"

"It's only because he's the same age as me and he seems really talented!" Hayeon tried to explain herself, only to get teased even more.

Hayeon sighed while looking at the floor, and shook her head at the older members who were still laughing and teasing. Today was going to be a long day, she knew it.

The four members finally walked inside the practice room after gathering themselves together, and all smiled when they saw Daehwi inside, dancing passionately to their song.

Woojin noticed them at first, and his eyes grew big as he put his hand over his mouth. Jaehwan soon turned around after seeing Woojin's reaction, wondering what was happening behind him. Soon, all seven members of the 'Never' team noticed Quadruple H and began to bow and exchange greetings with their producers.

"Hayeon!!!!!" Guanlin exclaimed while running straight towards Hayeon and attacking her with an enormous hug which made her lose balance.

"Ahhh Guanlin!" Hayeon freaked out as she continued to lose balance, and began to feel herself heading to the floor with Guanlin still attached to her.

She suddenly felt a hand on her back, supporting her to gain her balance back, and she sighed in relief as she thought that Guanlin had done that.

She was about to thank Guanlin for helping, when Guanlin said a 'thank you' to the person behind her.

She turned around, to see Daehwi standing there, flashing a bright smile.

"Ahh, tha-thank you so much..!" she stuttered, and immediately cried on the inside for acting like that in front of him.

"It's fine!" he said while flashing another charming smile, and Hayeon swore that her heart melted at the sight.

Soon, it was time for the mid-check up on all the songs, and Quadruple H was greatly impressed with how far the 'Never' team had gotten, and praised them for their hard work. They later bid goodbye as they mentioned that they'll be looking forward to recording the song with the members, and left for their night schedules.

A few days later, the 'Nation's Son' team visited CUBE building to record their song, and couldn't help but feel nervous as well as excited to see Quadruple H again.

When the two teams met, they bowed and exchanged greetings once more, and Hyuna suggested that the members spend 10 or so minutes warming their voices up and practicing their parts before recording officially.

Some members went outside to another room, to an outdoor place within the building, whereas Daehwi stayed inside the recording room and decided to practice there.

He continued to repeat his line 'In my head, you're the only one that I can see', but tilted his head every time he finished, and tried the line over and over again.

"Are you okay?" Hayeon, who was sitting closeby asked, making Daehwi slightly jump in his seat from the surprise.

"Ahh, Hayeon sunbaenim.. I can't seem to sing this line right." he replied, while slightly pouting.

Hayeon knew that she and Daehwi were the same age, but she couldn't help but put on a motherly smile as he looked so adorable and and young like a baby.

"No need to call me sunbaenim! We're the same age, let's be friends~ Guanlin doesn't call me sunbaenim either, so there's no need for you to call me that as well." she said, earning a nod from Daehwi.

Hayeon asked Daehwi to sing his line once more so that she could listen with full concentration, and when he sang the line, she felt her heart skip a beat.

'This song isn't a love song. But why does this line sound so sweet?' she thought.

She calmly ignored her hurrying heartbeat, and tried her best to help Daehwi out with his voice.

Soon, she found herself just listening to Daehwi continuously repeat his lines more and more, and she had to repeatedly scold herself to stop getting flattered from his voice singing that one line.

She then heard a chuckle from Daehwi, and when she made a confused face, he laughed once more.

"Why did you hit yourself on the head, Hayeon?" he asked, bursting into a cute laughter for the third time.

"Wait.. I hit myself? Did I actually do that?" Hayeon panicked, wanting to hide at the fact that she had actually been hitting herself for real instead of just in her mind.

"Yes, hahaha. Your head doesn't hurt?" he asked gently, making her heart flutter.

"N-no... I don't think so.." she murmured.

"Haha that's good then." he replied.

Daehwi soon got back to Hayeon, as Hayeon kept repeating the conversation they just had in her head.

She zoned out at the thought, and didn't notice that Daehwi had stopped practicing, and was now sitting right in front of her.

"Hayeon!" he said loudly, making the girl come back to reality.

"In my head, you're the only one that I can see" the boy said while meeting the girl's eyes.

Hayeon froze in her spot - why was he saying this to her all of a sudden? Did he notice that she had something for him? Did she stare at him too much? Was she too obvious about everything?

"Okay, ten minutes is up now! 'Nation's Son' members please come back into the recording room!" Hayeon and Daehwi heard Hui's voice echoing from outside.

"Well I guess we have something to talk about after recording." Daehwi said as he winked, and took a seat on one of the sofas, leaving Hayeon to blush.

She was definitely looking forward to the end of this recording session.
