After all the ceremonial shenanigans are over, Seungkwan could peacefully pack up all his belongings and exited the auditorium. The staffs offered to get him something to eat since it was a bit late into the evening but he politely refused, claiming he has to get home. Usually, Seungkwan would not reject free foods but he was so tired that his bone felt exhausted just from walking. Vernon disappeared due to his obligation for being last year winner so Seungkwan will have to get home by himself. However, as he exited the building, Vernon appeared by his side and took all the gifts and flowers from Seungkwan. He carried them for the younger boy as they walked to the car. Some of the female staffs saw this and gave Seungkwan a knowing smirk with some wiggling eyebrows. 

"I guess we don't have to take care of him anymore," One of them said playfully. "Someone already got a boyfriend to take care of him. I'm so jealous..."

"Don't worry," Vernon replied to them. "Pretty girls, like you, will get a boyfriend, no problem. It's just I prefer his anatomy and personality over everyone else."

"Have fun, you kids..."

Seungkwan felt truly embarrassed throughout the whole exchange. The moody Vernon was long gone and was replaced by a very playful and energetic Vernon. This version smiled a lot more and teased Seungkwan more. The sophomore leads the way to the car but Seungkwan continued to look around.

"Who are you waiting for? Mingyu?" A hint of jealousy was in Vernon's voice but Seungkwan didn't detect it.

"Hoshi and Wonwoo," Seungkwan answered.

"Why are you waiting for them?"

"To thank them for the flowers."

"Well, the person who paid for those is standing right here," Vernon smirked. "Feel free to pay me back anytime, I take kisses and cuddles, but I charge interest as well."

By the time they got to Vernon's black car, Seungkwan was walking side by side with Vernon. He couldn't believe what had happened tonight and the past few weeks. Sure, he didn't win the competition but he had fun. Not only did he got to meet new friends, but he also gets to spend time with Vernon. The tough time is over and Seungkwan finally gets to reap the reward. 

"By the way, I got something for you," Vernon unlock his car and opened the back of the car. Inside, roses filled up the back. Not a single space was empty. "My gift to you. And also, back-ups just in case the bouquet wasn't enough to win you the popularity vote."

"Vernon, you didn't have to do that..." Seungkwan stared at the roses with admiration. "Thank you..."

"Then kiss me," Vernon leaned down. "I've been waiting for so long already."

"What the hell?" The freshman's face turned red as he got into the car.

Vernon just smiled and followed. They've never kissed before but of course, Seungkwan thinks about it. He knew it would be an amazing thing to kiss your long-time crush after so years of wanting. However, he couldn't give in at the first chance he got. Seungkwan was being prideful but as the seconds tick by, his pride starts to wear down. It seemed like Vernon took forever to start the car When the older male turned his body to put on his seatbelt, Seungkwan got brave and leaned over. His plan was to give Vernon a simple kiss on the cheek but the plan fails when Vernon suddenly turn around and their lips meet. 

"!" Seungkwan cussed.

"We barely touched and you didn't like it already," Vernon laughed. "I guess I have to work harder to please you."

The older male the ignition and started driving. His hand found Seungkwan's and intertwined the fingers together. As they drive away from the building, other people began to get rowdy inside the auditorium. Hoshi was busy flirting with all the female students as Wonwoo stood by and watched. He rolled his eyes whenever the casinova used one of the infamous pickup lines. 

"Hoshi, I want to go home," Wonwoo tapped his friend shoulder. 

"Wait," Hoshi swatted the dark-hair boy away without even looking away from the girls. 

"Stop flirting for god sake..."

"Go find your hubby and ask him to drive you."

"I'm hungry and I want to go!"
 

"Sorry, Hoshi, we don't want to be in the way," The freshman girls smile and walked away. 

Hoshi's shoulder drooped as he watched the girls walk away. "Damn it, Wonwoo. Why are you in a hurry?"

"I'm hungry..."

"Hungry? Or are you trying to hide from Mingyu?" 

"Shut up," Wonwoo hit his friend. "That guy has a habit of appearing whenever his name is called. It's like a goddamn summoning spell."

"Then I hope you were the one who called for me," Mingyu whispered into Wonwoo'ear from behind. Both sophomores jumped into the air in shock. "Hello!"

Mingyu changed out into his casual cloth but he still wears the winner sash. Although his eyes look tired, the bright smile still shows that he has the energy to spare. Even just by looking at him, Wonwoo felt tired by the abundance of energy. 

"Congrat Mingyu," Hoshi grinned. "We got two people from our high school winning the title two years in the row. If there are cute freshman girls next year, be sure to let me know."

"Of course, hyung, you'll be the first to know," Mingyu immediately turned to Wonwoo. "I'm hungry, so let go eat. Remember our deal?"

"Well, I'm not hungry, so next time," Wonwoo replied. 

"Yes, he is," Hoshi pushed his friend into the wolf's arm. "I can't babysit him and meet new girls at the same time. Take him and go eat. Just go easy on him since he's fragile."

Before Wonwoo could commit murder, Hoshi ran away to where the freshman girls had gone to. Mingyu just fondly stares at Wonwoo, who's returned it with a grouchy look. "Fine whatever, I want udon."

"Yes, sir," Mingyu wrapped his arm around Wonwoo's shoulder but when he got a glare in return, he immediately retracts his limbs in fear of losing it. 

The whole drive to the udon restaurant, Mingyu continuously gave Wonwoo the heart-eyes. The cheeky grin never left the freshman's face. To be honest, his inside is begging for him to stop using so much energy to smile but he couldn't help it. Being with Wonwoo makes Mingyu happy for some reason and the freshman didn't question the happiness. 

"You know, even though I look confident onstage, I was a nervous wreck," Mingyu broke the ice. 

"Why would you be nervous?"

"Because I was scared that I might not win and you wouldn't be sitting here right now."

"Whatever," Wonwoo's tsundere attitude was on full blast tonight. "You would've won even if I didn't cheer for you."

"That's not true, I was very close to losing to the runner-up."

"Bull!"

"I'm serious. I-"

A phone call interrupted Mingyu. The freshman answered the call and put it on speaker. It was a girl on the other side of the phone. Mingyu happily tells her about him winning the title and she gushed over it. The way they talk makes Wonwoo feel like a third wheel. The pet names didn't help and the girl sounds sweet and innocent. It made Wonwoo felt guilty for sitting in the same car as Mingyu as if he had stolen someone from her. 

"Anyway, I got to go, I'll call you later when I'm not driving," Mingyu happily wrapped up the conversation. The girl says bye sweetly before hanging up. The freshman immediately turned to the sophomore, who's attitude turned a bit sour. "Have you thought of what kind of udon you want yet?"

"Not hungry," Wonwoo answered shortly as he stared out the slightly dirty window to the passing shops and houses.

"That's not good, hyung," The freshman is genuinely concerned. "It's late so you have to eat something. Come on, it's my treat."

"I'm really not hungry."

Mingyu didn't reply but he continued to drive to the designated destination. When they got to the udon place, Mingyu parked the car and pulled a sulking Wonwoo to the restaurant. They sat at the table near the center of the place. Mingyu was planning to sit opposite of Wonwoo but he changed his mind and sat next to the older boy. The waitress arrived and took their order. Mingyu ordered for the both of them since Wonwoo just mumbled incoherent words. Of course, the older male didn't miss the flirty eyes that the waitress and every female in the restaurant are sending toward Mingyu. 

"Why are you sulking?" Mingyu shoulder bumped the sophomore. "If you are that hungry, food is coming."

"Why did you pursue me when you already got a girlfriend?" Wonwoo suddenly asked. The way Mingyu is smiling at him is ticking him off. It's like the younger male knows he is up to no good but he's doing it anyway. Wonwoo doesn't want to be someone's side piece, no matter how much he like the person.

"Who? Rose? She's just a friend," Mingyu was quick to identify the girlfriend-in-question. "Well, she was my girlfriend but she's my ex now."

"From your conversation, it doesn't seem like she's an ex..."

"Oh, I see... I'm being careless. I'm used to talking to Rose that way so it's become a habit. I forgot to take your feeling into consideration. My apologize."

The foods arrived just in time and Wonwoo quickly grabbed his bowl. He dug into the udon and tried to ignore Mingyu's presence, which failed. On the other hand, Mingyu mentally counted the girlfriend he has in an attempt to enlighten his dating background. "Rose is the longest girlfriend I had out of... 13? No, 15 girls."

Wonwoo coughed on his noodles and he quickly grabbed a napkin to cover his mouth. The number surprised the sophomore. He tried to come up with the number before but he assumed Mingyu would have dated 6 to 8 girls but it seemed to be more than he anticipated. 

"Rose and I were together for a year and she was my lastest girlfriend and we got along quite well," Mingyu continued. "After we broke up, we still talk to each other the same way since it was how we talk to each other before we dated. I promised we're only friends, hyung. Rose and I are platonic."

"Why did you two break up?"

"She figured out I like someone else."

"...."

"At that time, I wasn't sure if I like that person enough to pursue them but I also know I didn't like Rose enough to continue dating her. I thought it would better... to be... single."

Wonwoo glared at him in disapproval. "You hurt someone's feeling for another person who you may or may not like. How can you do that? You're not even pursuing that person."

"Well... you shouldn't say that as I am pursuing that person."

"Who the is it?" Wonwoo didn't know why he's so angry but the food in his mouth seemed to soothe his angry just a bit.

"That person? He's the cutie that's eating next to me right now."

Wonwoo coughed on his noodles again. The way Mingyu nonchalantly announced his advancement was concerning. The younger male is too forward about his feeling and isn't afraid to tell people about it, especially to Wonwoo it seemed. To put it simply, Mingyu is blunt. On the other hand, Wonwoo overthinks his words and everything he said. He got a habit of overanalyzing his sentences in order to take other people's feeling into consideration and whether or not what he would say fit the situation. They're like polar opposite, yet here they are. On a date...

"Stop talking," Wonwoo demanded. "I don't want to die before finishing this udon."

"Then please don't misunderstand me," Mingyu smiled. "I only like you now."

"I don't care who you like..."

"Yes, you do," The freshman knows he's pushing his boundary but he has to in order to win at this cat and mouse chase. "If it makes you happy, I will stop talking to Rosé, for you."

"You... don't have to do that," Wonwoo replied timidly. "She's a friend."

"But you see her as a threat to our relationship so I will put an end to it so you'll feel at ease."

"Hey now, put her feeling into consideration. What will she think if you suddenly ghosted her?"

"But I want to put your feeling first."

"Whatever... Do whatever you want..."

"Does that mean I got permission to chase after you?" Mingyu's tone turned chirpy and teasing. The sophomore couldn't look at Mingyu's face in fear of giving away his embarrassing thoughts so he looked elsewhere. "Is that a yes? If you don't answer, then I'm taking it as a yes."

"Your noodle is getting cold. If you don't eat it, I will," Wonwoo grabbed Mingyu's untouched udon and started eating it. 

"I like watching you eat," The freshman rested his chin on his palm as he watched the sophomore eat away. "It seemed like I have to work hard in order to buy lots of food. Being a husband must be tough."

"Get your head out of the cloud, that's too far into the future."

Mingyu didn't answer. Instead, he's gleaned over that fact that Wonwoo isn't denying it. When they finished, Mingyu used his superior look to get the waitress to accept his credit card instead of Wonwoo's. The older male didn't want to be in debt to Mingyu but the younger claimed he already returned the favor just by being here. Of course, Mingyu drove Wonwoo back to the dorm, which is right near Seungkwan's dorm.

"Your dorm is pretty big," Mingyu commented as he parked the car. "Maybe I should move here, so we can be closer together."

"Where are you living?"

"Do you want to live together then?"

"Why do you jump from one question to another like that?"

"I come here often to give Seungkwan a ride but he has his own handsome chauffeur now, so I'm unnecessary," Mingyu grinned. "Are you looking for your own handsome chauffeur? I'm available. I'll drive you anywhere you want."

"I don't need one," Wonwoo rolled his eyes. "I have my own car and Hoshi also lives near me. I can get a ride from him."

"A new semester will start soon and we will get too busy to see each other. I just want to see you at every chance I get."

"Don't act like you never stalk me at my classes before."

"Is that permission for me to stalk you?"

"I'm leaving before you think we're gonna go on a honeymoon."

"We will go on a honeymoon? WHERE?"

"BYE!"

Before Wonwoo could escape, Mingyu's phone rang. Once again, Rosé, Mingyu's ex, is calling. Her name shines brightly inside the dark car. Mingyu looks at Wonwo for a moment before swiping the phone to answer it and he turns on the speaker. 

"Mingyu, you're as slow as ever," The girl cheerfully greeted Mingyu. "What took you so long?"

"I'm with my boyfriend, Rosé, I'll talk to you later," Mingyu hung up but Wonwoo managed to hear an earful of incoherent words. 

"Her feeling is hurt or will be hurt..."

"I'll worry about that. She's a strong girl so she'll get over it."

"Whatever, it's your mess," Wonwoo tried his best to sound like he's not worried. "I go now."

When Wonwoo exit the car, Mingyu suddenly call him to stop. "Can you take care of this?"

Wonwoo looked down at Mingyu's stretched hand. In it, he held the sash with his winning title on it. The older male looks at the sash and then, at Mingyu in confusion. "Why are you giving it to me? I didn't win it."

"Yeah but you're the one I won it for," MIngyu pouts again. "Please just keep it."

Wonwoo just rolls his eyes and takes the sash. They say goodnight and Wonwoo walked to his dorm, only to stop again by Mingyu, yelling out his car window. "Hey!"

"What?" Wonwoo looked out the double-glass doors of his dorm entrance.

"I have an ulterior motive for giving you that sash. Now, I have a reason to visit you."

Usually, Wonwoo would blowed a fuse and yelled at Mingyu for manipulating him like that but this time, he smiles a little. Mingyu watched as his older boyfriend walked into the dorm before driving away, also wearing an identical smile. With one couple saying goodnight to one another, another couple just got their night together. Seungkwan and Vernon managed to get back to Seungkwan's apartment without dropping a single gift that Seungkwan had received. Although Vernon claimed that most of the gifts are useless, the younger male is unwilling to throw any of it away, even the white plushie that he didn't remember who it was from. 

"Are you staying over tonight?" Seungkwan asked as the older male followed him into his room. 

"Of course," Vernon answered as if it's was natural. "I need cuddle time after all the words you had sung for me."

"Well... don't talk about it," The younger male blushed and ran over to the drawer/Vernon's shrine to take out his nightwear. He couldn't stop comparing his love life from the past and now. The idol that he always looks up to is his official boyfriend. 

Vernon noticed how Seungkwan is standing so still and he took advantage of that by sneaking up from behind the boy and hug him. "Baby, stop looking at those pictures. The real deal is standing right here."

"Vernon, let go," Seungkwan struggled to get out of the older's grip. "It's embarrassing. Let go or I'll punch you."

"You threaten me when you first move in too. We need to find a better way for you to express your feeling for me."

"Shut up."

The two of them smile shyly at each other for a while. Vernon got brave and lean in a bit, not minding the threat of being punch. Their lips got awfully close before Vernon's phone ruin the atmosphere. When Vernon's answer it, Seungkwan saw a twinkle in his senior's eyes. Vernon hurriedly kiss him before leaving with a small explanation. He vaguely said he has something to do. Seungkwan waited and waited and waited. The ticking of the clock was annoyingly loud as Seungkwan busy himself with his mangas. By the time midnight hit, Seungkwan gave up waiting and went to sleep. Although he convinced himself that he doesn't care, Seungkwna feels a little hurt that Vernon left without giving him a clear explanation. He thoughts they are getting along really well, maybe even labelling each other boyfriend. However, this happen. 

"Seungkwan? You awake?" The said boy's bed dips as Vernon slowly lays down next to Seungkwan. "I'm sorry my little errand took so long."

"Since you are busy, you shouldn't bother spending your time here..."

"You're cute when you are sulking," Seungkwan feels a kiss on the side of his head. "I have a good reason to leave."

"And?"

"You know how you gave me a bracelet?" Vernon reaches over to the night stand for the box he placed down earlier after he got back. "I managed to find the counterpart of that bracelet."

Seungkwan turns around to see the black bracelet in the box with a small engraved name on it. The design is the same as the bracelet that Seungkwan had gave Vernon. The older boy takes the black bracelet and clips it onto Seungkwan's wrist. They held their wrist next to each other to compare the bracelets, which is only different in color. Vernon's bracelet is white, while Seungkwan's is black. 

"Why didn't you just tell me?" The youger boy pouted.

"Then it wouldn't be a surprise..." Vernon smirks cheekily. He placed a stealthy kiss on Seungkwan's cheek. "If you think about it, we never actually have our first kiss. Even though we have been dating for quite a while now."

"Since when did I agree to date you?"

"Since you stole my heart the first time I see you."

"...Shut up... Wait, if that's so... Then, you cheated on me when you were a freshman because you sleep with a couple of girls."

"I did... And I will spend my life atoning for that sin. My punishment is to never look at anyone else in a romantic or ual way except you."

"Whatever..." Seungkwan tried to hide his growing smile.

Vernon turns the younger boy around so they can stare into each other eyes. "May I kiss you?"

The freshman didn't answer verbally but nodded. His heart pounds loudly as Vernon leans in. The moment he has been waiting for every since he fell in love with Vernon. To be able to kiss Vernon, it's scary, which is strange since most people will feel excited. However, Seungkwan has waited so long that excitement is mixed with fear as his insecurity arised. Everything is overwhelming but then, everything stop as Vernon's lips touch his. The calm after the storm has came. Or maybe it's the calm that come before the storm. Either way, Seungkwan doesn't care now. All he care about is what is happening right now.

They're kissing.

That's the end of season 1 of "2moons". If you didn't know, "season 2" is gonna come out in 2019. The reason I put quotation around season 2 is because the whole entire cast of the original show is being recast. Season 2, which is called "2moons2", is a combination of the first and second book of the series. With the whole new cast, I have to get use to them, but they are really cute though. Anyway, I won't retell the story but I'll just continue on with the story. Comment what you like about this story. It is complete for now.
