"There you go," Wonwoo paid the technician for their work on his car. "Thank you so much."

The technician left on his bike and Wonwoo was left alone with Mingyu again. The older male quickly get in his car to drive home before Mingyu made him promise more ridiculous things. The combination of puppy face and fierce look should be illegal on anyone but Mingyu was able to be born with both. 

Wonwoo jumped onto his bed after he changed into his sleeping cloth and brushed his teeth. The comfort of his bed made him a bit lazy to do his schoolwork so he just opened his laptop and logged onto social media. As expected, his timeline is filled with pictures of the freshmen pictures. Wonwoo made sure to like the freshman rep of the medical department and Seungkwan's pictures. However, he hesitated when Mingyu's picture came up. Minyu also did a little stalking himself. He went through the dozen of likes on his picture to find a certain tsundere. 

On the other side of campus, Seungkwan was finished with his practice. His fingers felt heavy after playing the piano for so long. However, he managed to get more than half the song memorized so his accomplishment went above his goal. Seungkwan walked out of the practice room to find Vernon sleeping on the sofa of the music store. The older male looked so peaceful that Seungkwan didn't want to disturb him but it didn't mean Seungkwan would give up on the chance to look at Vernon up close without feeling awkward. He studied every feature on Vernon's face and sketch it into his memories.

"If you're gonna take advantage of me, please do so," Vernon suddenly speaks up. His eyes are still close. "I won't tell the police."

"Don't flatter yourself," Seungkwan rolled his eyes and got up. "So full of yourself."

"How long did you watch me?"

Seungkwan refused to answered that question since he doesn't know the number himself. "I want to go home. It's late and you need to sleep in a proper bed."

The sophomore got up from the sofa and stretched. He walked up close to Seungkwan and stared straight into the freshman's eyes. "There's something on your eyes."

"I don't feel it," Seungkwan answered. He's kinda breathless and nervous because of how close Vernon is. If they're any closer than they would be touching.

"Close your eyes..."

The younger male obliged hesitantly and close his eyes. He waited for one of two things. Either Vernon would make fun of him or kiss him and Seungkwan is hoping it would be the second option. His heart is pounding just thinking about it. 

"If I kiss you right now, would I get punched?"

Seungkwan didn't answer but he waited for Vernon to kiss him since it was also in the older male's mind. Vernon smiled and leaned in closer. The freshman felt his palms getting sweaty and his heart beat faster. He can feel the older male's breath on his cheek. However, instead of kissing him on the lips, Seungkwan received a kiss on the tip of his nose. He was happy and disappointed at the same time. Happy because he was so close to Vernon but disappointed because he wanted more. 

"It's late, we should go home," Vernon smiled and turned around to get his keys.

Seungkwan followed the sophomore outside with a mixed feeling. Neither of them could sleep after that since they were thinking about the kiss. Of course, both of them want more but it wasn't the time for that. Luckily, Vernon managed to keep his focus in class the next day and resisted the urge to call up Seungkwan again. Hoshi, Wonwoo, and he finished class and sat on a bench outside the medical building to review class materials for the next class. 

"Where were you last night?" Hoshi asked. "I was gonna borrow your worksheet but your room was dark."

"I went to the gym," Wonwoo answered. The events of last night started to resurface in his memories and he tries to not make it obvious or else the nosy Hoshi will ask for more.

"Gym? You weren't home until around midnight," Hoshi urged onward. 

"I went to eat after the gym," The black-hair sophomore tries to change the subject but Hoshi was determined. 

"The noodle shop in front of the university."

"What the hell? How did you know?" 

Hoshi wiggled his finger and tsked. "I didn't get my nickname of Late Night Investigator for nothing, my good friend. But at least, you should have let me know that MIngyu is with you... That freshman is so popular, almost as popular as Vernon, but you guys were together late at night. I want to know why?"

Vernon put down his pen because he was curious too. In their years of friendship, he had never seen Wonwoo taken an interest in anyone but yet, here they are. 

"We just went to eat," Wonwoo tries to defend himself, knowing fully well that the ball is no longer in his court. "What else can there be?"

"Or there is but you won't tell us?" Hoshi pointed his highlighter at his friend.

"If you would focus this much attention on school, you would be passing it already," Once again, the person in question tries to change the subject. "Ask Vernon for those worksheets that you need."

"Why? I didn't take notes in class," Vernon retorted.

"Don't try to change the subject," Hoshi said with a smirked. "Another person in our group got a boy toy, who would have expected me to be the lonely one?"

"Hey hey hey, just Vernon get a boy toy, I'm a single Pringle," Wonwoo replied.

Vernon wanted to slap his friend for calling Seungkwan a boy toy but he resisted the urge. He'll get them back on the day for it. Hoshi wasn't done talking though. "You know, one day, Mingyu will do you in."

"The ? He will never top me," Wonwoo replied back fiercely. "Why are you so confident that I will bottom?"

"I not confident in you bottoming but I'm confident in Mingyu topping," Hoshi stated. Vernon nodded along in agreement. "His confidence is more than enough to make you shake."

"Shut up, do you know how many time a girl confess to me? Now I'm being forced to like a stupid freshman."

"It's doesn't matter if it's a guy or girl," Vernon speaks up. "All that matter is you whether you love that person or not."

"Fine fine fine," Wonwoo gave in and held his hand up in surrender. "I'll tell it to you straight. No matter how handsome he is, I will never like him. Ok?"

Vernon and Hoshi looked at each other and shrugged. They silently agreed to let it go this time but of course, they would bring this up later. When Wonwoo is drunk, they might bring it up since Wonwoo is the type to speak his mind with the help of alcohol in his system.

"But..." Wonwoo broke the silent communication. "I would like him if he turned cute.. like your sweet sweet Seungkwan."

"Shut up," Vernon hit his friend with the pen. 

"I'm joking, boss!" Wonwoo laughed.

"By the way, Vernon, you're not gonna go see your Seungkwan today?" Hoshi asked.

"No, he doesn't want me to watch him practice."

Jooheon, the Medical department freshman rep, walked past the sophomores' table. Vernon caught his attention and tried to extort some information out of the younger boy. The practice would end late at night for the reps but all the reps took the competition seriously so they would probably stay longer to get a run-thru a dress rehearsal. After Jooheon left, Vernon caught a glimpse of someone from a distance away. He made out a face and smirked.

"I'm hungry, let go eat something," Wonwoo suggested.

"I thinking eating will have," Vernon nodded forward. "Someone is here to see you."

Wonwoo a Hoshi both turned around to see an Engineering student walking toward their table. The goofy grin on his face was enough to irritate Wonwoo already. The three sophomores suddenly stood up but Hoshi pushed Wonwoo to sit back down. It looked like Vernon could get Wonwoo back for the comment he made earlier about Seungkwan. "You sit."

"Stay right here and we'll watch your misery from afar," Hoshi whispered in his friend's ear and the two sophomores ran away. They left Wonwoo to fend for himself. "Good luck, Wonnie!"

Wonwoo has never felt so betrayed by his so-called friends before. They left him to defend himself against the wolf that is Mingyu, who took a seat next to the raven-hair sophomore. "Can I call you Wonnie too?"

"No," Wonwoo replied harshly.

"I won't have time to see you until the competition so I make a little time to sneak peek at my prize," Mingyu said confidently, which cause Wonwoo to fluster. The sophomore quickly got up and move to the other side of the table because he feels like he's in danger sitting so close to the freshman. "Why did you move?"

"Because you're a psycho!"

"I'm not gonna do anything in broad daylight. Maybe when we're alone but never in public."

"How many time did you stalk me at my department?"

"Three times," Mingyu answered shamelessly. "And this is the first time I was caught."

"You're crazy!"

"You shy?"

"Shy, my !"

Mingyu laughed a little before continuing the cat-and-mouse chase. "Wonnie, last night, I checked the list of people who like my pictures for the competition and you're not one of them. How come you didn't like my picture?"

"I... I don't use Facebook much!"

"Then, use it! Tonight, go and like my pictures."

"You are a psycho. Stalking me and then force me to like your picture. Besides, you already got thousands of likes already."

"But your encouragement is important to me," Mingyu put on the puppy face again. 

Wonwoo had enough and he stood up to leave. Mingyu stood up as well and followed him. "Stop!"

"Then, remember to like my picture and our deal."

"That's a one-sided deal!"

"Well, remember to go on our date after I win!" Mingyu made sure to say it loud enough for the people who walk past them to hear. Wonwoo hid his face as he ran to the cafeteria to search for his traitorous friends. 

That night, Wonwoo tried to study but he couldn't. This was strange to him because he prided himself on hardly getting distracted. He found himself putting away his worksheets and logging on to Facebook on his laptop. Of course, Mingyu's picture was first on his timeline again. It's as if Facebook is making fun of him. Wonwoo "unwillingly" press like on the picture but it was totally by accident. He didn't do it by his own free will but his finger just slipped and he was too lazy to change it. Wonwoo closed his laptop and throw aside on his bed. When he tried to go back to studying, the sound of his phone caused him to stop.

Wonwoo was angry on the inside but he didn't know he was wearing a smile on his face. After he stops texting Mingyu, the sophomore can finally focus on his studying. The sophomores might have the time of their life right now but the freshmen are struggling through theirs because of how close the competition is. The staffs scold them for not focusing during the dress rehearsal. Everyone worked hard to not disappoint the people who're going to see the competition. Each day that's leading up to the competition was dedicated to practicing to each other and individually. When the last dress rehearsal comes around, the staffs cheer loudly to motivate the reps. In the end, they did a group hug and wish each other the best for the competition. 

"Try your best tomorrow," Vernon told Seungkwan as he drove the freshman home. 

"I'm really nervous..." Seungkwan said as they walked to their dorm room.

"Not matter if you win or lose, you won't regret a thing if you do your best."

"Ok, tumblr," Seungkwan rolled his eyes. "When can you be there tomorrow?"

"I'll be there at the earliest possible, I promise," Vernon crossed his fingers. "Sonne will take care of you freshmen until I get there. Don't worry, I will get there on time for the competition."

Seungkwan nodded but his face showed that he wanted to say more.

"Seungkwan, you know you'll get more popular, right?"

"So what?"

"Just as you are worried about someone constantly stealing me away from you. I also have the same fear now. To make it worse, you trusted people very easily so I'm extra worry."

"How so?"

"You're not good at turning people away."

"Stick close to your gangs, they're good people. And Mingyu is good too."

"I promise I will be careful," Seungkwan smiled. 

Vernon pressed his lips together. "Ok. Do you need me to wake you up tomorrow?"

"It's ok, Mingyu will do it and he will drive me there after my class. I'll be fine."

"Seungkwan, don't open the door unless it's someone you know."

"You worry too much. Get some sleep. I'll see you tomorrow."

Th sophomore hesitantly walked away. They already say their goodbye but Vernon wanted to stay a little longer. That was a lie. Vernon wants to stay the whole night with Seungkwan. In fact, He might want to move to Seungkwan's room. When he turned the corner, Vernon peeks his head back to look at Seungkwan for one last time before he goes back to his own room. Seungkwan shoots the sophomore away before going to sleep.

The first time I watched this part of the episode, I thought P'Pha (Vernon's character) was being an overprotective boyfriend but I read ahead for the 2nd season and happen. A little spoiler for ya so you can be on edge until we get there. There hasn't been any news on the second season yet so it'll be a while ;) Both you and I will have to wait for a while for it.
