Vernon took Seungkwan to the music store that his uncle owns. The said uncle allows them to use the piano room after Vernon explained to him that a friend of his needs it. It was a little late but the place still has its light on even though the sign says close. The uncle handed him the keys and told him to lock up the place when they're done. Seungkwan promised t would only take him two hours to practice but Vernon knows for sure he needs more than that.

"Alright, you practice and I'll go get foods," Vernon told him when they got settled.

"Wait, Vernon, can I ask you something?" 

"I know, you want pink milk, got it..."

"No, that's not it. I don't always think about foods. I was wondering if you can not listen or watch me practice... I want you to hear it at the competition," Vernon opened his mouth to object because he wants to hear Seungkwan plays the piano, no matter how terrible the freshman might be. However, Seungkwan put on the pouty face and soft plead, which Vernon knows he's weak to, so he hesitantly agrees.

"It better be good or else," The sophomore warned his freshman. "And it better be dedicated to me."

When Vernon lefts, Seungkwan immediately got to work. He warmed up his hand muscles before actually practicing the song he picked. The rust is starting to scrape off and Seungkwan remembers where every note is on the piano. He picked a song that meant a lot to him during his time admiring Vernon from afar. Throughout his whole practice, Seungkwan was so into the music that he Vernon managed to sneak peek at him for a few seconds. However, the freshman saw him through the reflection of the glass window and stop playing. 

"Damn, I thought I could sneak in for a bit," Vernon joked.

"I'm hungry," Seungkwan said bluntly. 

"Good, because I bought the good stuff."

Vernon watched Seungkwan eat and waited for a chance to see the mess on the freshman's lips to wipe it away, which wasn't long. Also, Seungkwan refused to eat the vegetables like a child and forced Vernon to eat them all. At first, the older male refused but Seungkwan pouted again and Vernon gave up. He knows he's whipped but Vernon would deny that claim until the day he dies or at least until Seungkwan forces him to admit it.

"About me picking you up late..." Vernon cleared his throat. "You're not mad?"

"I'm not..." The freshman answered with his mouth full of stir-fried noodles. "It was unforeseeable."

"But I'm still mad at myself."

"Don't be..."

"Don't you realize it? Seokmin likes you too and I don't blame him."

"I... know..." The hesitation in his voice gave it away. Seungkwan never thought about the possibility that Seokmin might like him. He thought that the older male was just taking care of him like Vernon did until recently. Vernon gave a better indirect message than Seokmin did.

"Don't get close to him," Vernon said softly. "I don't have as much free time as him so I'm afraid he might win you over when I'm not there."

"I don't think you should be afraid..." Seungkwan got a bit shy. A part of Seungkwan is jumping for joy about the fact that the Vernon that he's admiring from afar is jealous over some else for getting close to him. A part of him is embarrassed for what he's about to say. "... You've already won a long time ago."

"What? I can't hear you, please speak louder," Vernon got a goofy grin on his face because he heard every word that came out of Seungkwan's mouth. It made him happy to know he won. 

"Eat this, I say," The freshman stuffed all the veggies into the sophomore's mouth to shut him up. 

By the time they finished eating, Vernon found himself loving to watch Seungkwan eat. It felt great because he knows he's taking care of his boyfriend. There! He mentally says it. Seungkwan is Vernon's boyfriend. The freshman didn't know the older male's inner monologue though. He just got up from his seat and got back to practice, assuming that Vernon would leave the room. However, the older male didn't.

"Vernon," Seungkwan pouted and pointed to the door.

"What?" The sophomore pretended to act clueless. "Why can't I stay?"

"Nooooo, we agree on this..."

"We didn't. You forced me to agree to it with your pouting and cuteness. I was weak."

"Pleaseeeee..."

With a lot of hesitation, Vernon slowly leaves the room in hope that his boyfriend might change his mind. However, Vernon was just teasing Seungkwan. He wants to uphold the promise so he put on his headphones because he can actually hear Seungkwan practicing through the thin wall. While one couple spends their time near each other but is in different rooms, another couple is in the same room on the other side of the campus. 

Wonwoo went to the campus gym by himself to run on the treadmill. He planned to invite Hoshi but changed his mind because the Casinova will just flirt with all the girl in the gym. After a good ten minutes of jogging, Wonwoo slowed the machine down to walking speed. He wiped away the sweat that caused his hair to stick onto his forehead. The sound of sandbag punching caught his attention as he tries to catch his breath. At the end of the line of treadmills, someone is practicing martial art on the sandbag. That someone is none other than Mingyu, who caught the sophomore staring at him. Wonwoo quickly looks back at his treadmill and speeds it up to a jogging speed again. Unfortunately for him, the tall freshman decided it's a good time to take a break.

"What's wrong? You look surprised seeing me here," Mingyu walked next to the treadmill Wonwoo is using. "You're pretty fit. I can see your chest muscle through your shirt."

"Leave me alone," Wonwoo replied. 

"I'm just worried about you," The freshman press the stop button on the machine, which slows it down to a halt, and handed the sophomore his towel. "You're sweating all over."

"None of your business," The older male got off the treadmill and walked to the locker room. Mentally, he cursed the freshman for interrupting his work out. Wonwoo unlocks his locker with a key and changes out of his sweaty shirt.

"Must be fate," Mingyu appeared out of nowhere and unlock the locker that right next to Wonwoo. "Do you want to shower together before you leave?"

The medical student didn't answer. Instead, he quickly changes out of his shirt and left. In fact, he was so quick that he forgot that his key is still inside the lock and he had to went back to get it, which caused him to see Mingyu's goofy grin. The freshman didn't give up and followed the sophomore out of the gym. Once again, fate played a joke on Wonwoo because their car is right next to each other. 

"Stop following me!"

"I'm not. This is my car."

Wonwoo doesn't know how to feel about the fact that Mingyu's car is right next to his. He ignored the grinning freshman and got in his car. For the third time tonight, fate plays a cruel joke on him by causing his car to not work. When he turned the key, the car barely roar. Mingyu watched Wonwoo tried to start the car a couple more time before walking over with the same goofy grin. 

Mingyu tapped on the glass window. "Car not starting?"

Wonwoo didn't answer verbally but he nodded.

"Hold on," The tall freshman put his gym bag in his car before walking to the hood of Wonwoo's car. "Open up!"

The shorter sophomore rolled his eyes and pushed a button in his car to open the hood. After that, he got out of his car to look at the engine with Mingyu. The freshman could tell that the battery is dead and unluckily, the freshman didn't bring his jumper cable. 

"What should I do then?" Wonwoo asked.

"We can call a technician. I know a guy," Mingyu got out his phone and dial a number. "It would've have been cooler if I know how to fix cars. Hold on one minute."

The freshman called the technician and asked the guy to come to their location. After he ended the call, Mingyu informed Wowoo that since it's a little late, fixing the car would take a while. They waited for the guy to come. Although Wonwoo was more than happy to wait by himself, Mingyu insisted on waiting with him. About ten minutes later, the technician arrived and started working. 

"It would take about an hour to fix," The tech informed them. "Is that ok?"

"Of course, thank you for taking my request this late," Mingyu said politely. "We'll just gonna go eat while waiting."

Wonwoo quickly glared at Mingyu. The older male never agreed to go anywhere with the freshman. However, Mingyu just ignored Wonwoo's unending resistance and pull the older male toward his car. He was pretty proud o himself for being able to "convince" the older to go eat with him. The sophomore wasn't surprised when the freshman's car is filled with books, papers, and a box of chocolate. 

"Who's that from? An admirer?" Wonwoo asked, glancing at the bright red box.

"I bought it for myself," Mingyu answered as he started his car. "After Valentine Day, chocolate tends to be on sale so I stock up. If you want some, help yourself."

"No thanks, aren't you afraid of getting fat?"

"Not at all. My body got used to it since I work out a lot and I've been eating these chocolates since high school."

Wonwoo was envious. It feels like he would gain weight just for breathing but this freshman eats chocolate like there's no tomorrow and still have a nice body. Not that he was staring at the younger male body or anything. "Lucky you."

"Don't worry, just know that no matter what you look like, there's one person who's chasing after you," Mingyu has the audacity to wink at the end of that sentence. 

Wonwoo rolled his eyes at the freshman's cheesiness but on the inside, he was happy. To himself, Wonwoo feels very average, especially standing next to handsome guys, like Vernon. He takes good care of his body for health purposes and not for attracting people but deep inside, Wonwoo does wish that he's a little more handsome, a little taller, and a little manlier. His sin of greed is that he wants more out of his look. However, he learned from a young age that he wouldn't stay a chance against people, like Vernon and Mingyu, and he accepted that a long time ago. Knowing that Mingyu likes him brought the greediness back, which makes him angry, but it also makes him happy that a good-looking guy wants him for him.

With that being said though, the good-looking guy sitting across from him at a random restaurant didn't have any trouble attracting attention from other people, especially the waitress serving them. She didn't bluntly flirt with Mingyu but it's obvious that she is captivated by his look. "The egg udon noodle for you and the... pork... ramen... for... you."

"Thank you," Mingyu flashed a smile at the waitress, who quickly ran away. Wonwoo rolled his eyes and stares at the freshman to try to see what other people see, which didn't go unnoticed by the said freshman. "Why are you staring at me? Too handsome, right?"

"I'm trying to see what other people see in you," The sophomore answered nonchalantly. 

"Oh? Am I not good-looking enough for you?" 

"There's got to be better-looking guys at your department."

Mingyu was amused. So much so that he put down his chopsticks to talk to the sophomore sitting across from him. "If you want to say I'm ugly, just say it and get it off your chest. I won't be mad. By the way, are you coming to the competition? Are you? Please come. Please please please!"

"Of course I will," Wonwoo said after taking a sip of his iced water. "I have to go. Vernon will drag me along to see his beloved. I have to cheer for my department reps and for Seungkwan as well."

"What? What about me?" The freshman put on a pouty face, hoping to persuade the older male. "I'm also your junior who went to the same high school. Why did you give Seungkwan special treatment but not me?"

"The entire engineering department is cheering for you. That department is freaking huge." 

"But I want you to cheer for me too..."

"Why? If I cheer for you, it makes no difference. It's not like you'll be the Campus Male Representative."

"I will be if you cheer for me."

"No, I will save my cheer for my department reps and Seungkwan. At least they will hear my cheer, unlike you, who already have thousands of fans," Wonwoo turned his attention to his udon bowl but when he didn't get a reply but, he looks up to see a pair of puppy eyes. Mingyu's pouty face got much poutier and the puppy eyes are slowly but surely melting down the sophomore's tsundere heart. "Fine fine fine. I will cheer for you. Happy?"

"You promise?" Mingyu grinned.

"Yeah, but I will cheer louder for Seungkwan."

"Fine but more than Jooheon, that guy gets on my nerve," Mingyu replied. 

"Hey! That guy is my department's rep, why do I have to prioritize you over him?"

"More than him!" Mingyu has on a determined look that Wonwoo finds strangely alluring. It isn't fair that Mingyu used the pouty puppy face to melt Wonwoo's heart and then used the fierce look to grip on the older's heart. 

"You want it that badly?"

"Yes!"

"Fine whatever, but you better buy me foods if you become the Campus Male rep then."

"YOU MEANT THAT?" Mingyu's voice got excited and really loud. "YOU CAN'T TAKE THAT BACK NOW! IF I WIN, YOU GO ON A DATE WITH ME!"

Wonwoo instantly regrets his words. He didn't foresee the fact that Mingyu would twist his words into something that the freshman wants. However, it was too late now because the said freshman is more excited than ever. Wonwoo doesn't know how much this meant to Mingyu. "Slowly down or you might choke on those noodles."

"I need to get back to practice if I'm gonna win that title."

"Geez, I don't know why you're so determined about this. You could just ask me out like any normal person."

"If I ask you like any normal person, you would say no. But now, I have a sure way to get a date with you and I a not letting that chance go to waste."

Once again, Mingyu had said what Wonwoo wised to hear. Whether it's truthful or if it's just Mingyu's flirtatious behavior, Wonwoo found himself fallen already. He never knew how much he wanted someone to be so determined at chasing after him as Mingyu. The greediness that dwelled inside his heart for years was turned into hopefulness by this tall, loudmouth freshman that doesn't know he already caught Wonwoo's heart. 

The second couple is finally introduced. I noticed that on every series that I watched, I tended to root for the secondary couple to get together, whether or not it's boyxboy or not. Of course, it is definitely true if it's boyxboy lol.

On another note, I've noticed a strange occurrence when it comes to BL couple in non-BL storylines. Readers/Viewers, especially females, would root for the couple, no matter how wrong it might be. BY wrong, I meant that one of the guys is already in a relationship with a female character but cheated on her with a guy. The readers/viewers always justified it as the right thing to do without giving evidence. I enjoy a gay couple as much as the next person but it got to be morally correct or fit in the storyline. Ok, rant is over. Sorry!
