Family Vacation Part II
Boys Over Flower 2“I LIKE YOU, GU SO HYUN.” Sung Jae confessed.
So Hyun was so surprised by what she just heard from Sung Jae. She couldn’t move at all. She just kept still while Sung Jae was embracing her tightly. She could feel Sung Jae breathing hard and she noticed that Sung Jae was getting heavier, leaning to her and she started to get uncomfortable so she tried to get loose from his embrace.
“Sung Jae-ah..” So Hyun tried to move but Sung Jae suddenly fell to the ground. “Sung Jae-ah!” So Hyun immediately knelt down beside the unconscious body of Sung Jae. “Yah! Yook Sung Jae! Are you okay?” So Hyun touched Sung Jae’s forehead and it was burning hot. “You have a fever! Get up! We need to get you inside the cave and get you warmed up.” So Hyun helped Sung Jae to get inside.
In Switzerland:
After the auction, the Soo family went home directly. Just before doing so, both Yi Jung and Ga Eul talked to their son about the matter concerning the painting while Hayi waited just outside the room where they were talking. After a moment, they got out and rode their way to their home silently and it made Hayi wonder to what was the problem.
“It’s been a long and tiring day.” Ga Eul stated as soon as they arrived at their house. “You two better prepare yourselves to bed.” She continued and she one by one kissed her children.
“Have a good night sleep, you two.” Yi Jung added and he too kissed his children good night.
As soon as their parents went upstairs, Hayi decided to head upstairs towards her room but Taehyun suddenly block her way and she was startled. They stayed liked that – standing and staring each other for about a few seconds.
“Come to the studio after you cleaned up.” Taehyun broke the silence and went upstairs towards his room.
Hayi couldn’t comprehend what her brother was doing but she wasn’t dumb enough to disobey her big brother. After she cleaned up and changed into her pyjamas, she went to the studio directly. When she opened the door, she saw the painting of her – the painting from the auction earlier and the one her brother had bought.
“Hayi-ah.” Taehyun suddenly appeared from the back of the large painting.
“Oppa. What’s going on? Why did you call me here?” Hayi asked. “And what’s with the painting?” She added.
“It’s for you.” Taehyun answered.
“What? But you’re the one who bought it.” Hayi was confused. “Wait, are you selling it to me, oppa?” She asked again and Taehyun scowled at her out of frustration.
“Ofcourse, not!” Taehyun stated. “God! I almost forgot about you being dumb.” He added, shaking his head. “What I mean is that, this painting is for you. I painted it myself.” He explained.
“You did? That’s why this particular painting is so different compared to dad’s works!” Hayi came to realize and Taehyun raised his brows at her comment. “But it doesn’t mean that this is a bad artwork, oppa.”Hayi recovered. “It’s just that I can’t picture myself to be worthy of being painted. Especially by you, oppa.” She confessed.
“I know that in your perspective I am a bit.. What do you call it? MEAN? But the truth is that I just can’t seem to know how to act around girls.” Taehyun confessed and Hayi was taken aback.
“What? But you’re always surrounded by girls!” Hayi countered.
“Yes, indeed. And because of that I get annoyed easily and I would always become mean towards them. I may be a prince charming for them but deep inside, I can be a villain. That’s the reason why I would always stay away from you. I don’t want you to actually see my villain side and experience me being mean to you. But I guess you already did. I’m so sorry if I hurt your feelings in any way possible, Hayi-ah.” Taehyun said.
Hayi didn’t know what to do or to say. All she could do was stand there silently while staring back at her brother. Without realizing, tears started to fall down her cheeks and Taehyun started to panic.
“Yah! Why are you crying?” Taehyun came rushing to her. “I’m really sorry Hayi-ah. I didn’t mean to make you cry. Please don’t cry. I promise not to be mean anymore. At least, I will try.” He continued.
“No. It’s not that.” Hayi intervened. “I’m just so happy. And please, don’t try to change just for me. Whatever kind of personality oppa has, I will gladly accept it. It’s what makes you who you are.” She added, wiping her tears away.
“Well, glad to hear it. I promise that from now on, I will spend more time with you and I’ll try to be more friendly and nice to the girls, especially to you.” He declared, making Hayi smile.
In France:
“Kyoungie-ah.” Jin Woo called his sister’s attention. “You should go home and rest. Ever since the day dad was rushed to the hospital, you never got the chance to have some proper sleep.” He continued.
“Your brother’s right.” Seung Hoon added. “Your mom has gone home with our mom already and now, it’s time for you to go home and rest too. Let me and your brother take care of things here for now. Joo Hyuk will accompany you home.” He finished but Sung Kyoung didn’t move from where she was sitting.
“Sung Kyoung-ah..” This time, Joo Hyuk tried to convince her. “Uncle Ji Hoo will be fine.” He comforted.
“No!” Sung Kyoung shouted and tears started to fall. “I won’t leave him! Not until he wakes up!” She demanded.
The three boys (Jin Woo, Seung Hoon and Joo Hyuk) were shocked seeing Sung Kyoung cry. They never saw her cry so hard like that. Seung Hoon and Joo Hyuk were surprised and they just kept on standing there while Jin Woo automatically came to his sister’s side. He hugged her tightly until she calmed down. Seung Hoon and Joo Hyuk decided to leave the siblings alone for them to talk.
“It’s my entire fault.” Sung Kyoung declared.
“No!” Jin Woo disagreed. “How could you say that? It’s not your fault.” Jin Woo assured.
“Yes it is.” Sung Kyoung insisted. “Dad was sick all along and all I did was bringing problems to him. If I’ve only known, I wouldn’t be so damn stubborn.” She stated. “If I’ve only known, I could be nice to him. If I..”
“If you’ve known, you will not be the person you are now – which is strong, caring, intelligent, nice and loving!” Jin Woo interrupted. “You don’t need to change who you are. Father wouldn’t like that. He wants you to do what you want, to be what you truly are but in a way that no one will get hurt, especially you, yourself.” Jin Woo explained.
“But in the end, father’s the one who got hurt!” Sung Kyoung shouted.
“And that’s father’s choice. He loves his family so much that he will gladly get hurt just to make us happy. In your case, father was so hard on you because he doesn’t want you to get hurt. He’ll gladly accept being hated by you just to make you safe from the decisions that you may regret someday.” Jin Woo continued.
Sung Kyoung couldn’t think to what she should say back to her brother anymore. She thought that his brother was right and it was supposed to comfort her but it made her feel even worse. She was on the verge of tears again when all of a sudden she felt someone touch her hands on the bed where her father was lying. When they turned to look at their father, they saw that their father was now awake and he was looking at Sung Kyoung.
“Doctor. We need a doctor. I’ll go and call someone.” Jin Woo headed for the door. “Kyoungie-ah, you stay and watch over father. I’ll be right back.” And Jin Woo went outside the room.
“Father.. I..” Sung Kyoung was trying hard not to cry but she failed. “I’m so sorry, father!” She wailed. “I’m sorry if I’m stubborn. I’m sorry if I hated you. I’m sorry if I was such a to you.” She continued, and she saw Ji Hoo grimaced against the respirator he was wearing. “Opps. Sorry.” She smiled weakly. “But I promise that I will try my best to be good to you, father.” She finished and she could feel her father’s grip became tighter against her hand.
In China:
“Hyukie, come on! Why can’t you come with me to the beach?” Hyunie was whining.
“You know why. Dad went to the Prime Minister with Minho hyung and he left me in charge here. I can’t abandon my post here. Dad expects me to settle with the paper works concerning the IL Shin.” Chan Hyuk answered.
“Boo Hoo!” Suhyun commented. “But I want to go! And dad won’t be happy if he knew that I went alone and without an . I
