“What?” Sung Jae asked, his voice was shaking.

                “When?” Joo Hyuk followed.

                “It was the day when I caught you together.” Sae Ron answered weakly, looking at Joo Hyuk.

A few days ago:

                “Stay away from him, you !” Sae Ron was furious and shaking from anger.

Joo Hyuk was horrified when he saw Sae Ron pushing So Hyun. He immediately went in between them to stop Sae Ron from hurting So Hyun even more. Sae Ron was so furious that she was struggling to free herself from Joo Hyuk’s hold of her. She wanted to slap So Hyun on the face but So Hyun suddenly stood up and ran away.

                “Come back here, you witch!” Sae Ron demanded but Joo Hyuk grabbed her back.

                “Yah! Park Sae Ron!” Joo Hyuk’s voice was angry. “What’s going on with you?” He accused.

                “Let go of me! That thief needs to learn not to steal someone else’s man!” She added.

                “I am not your man!” Joo Hyuk shouted and Sae Ron was taken aback.

                “What do you mean? You’re mine and I’m yours.” Sae Ron answered weakly. “Tell me that I’m right, Joo Hyuk-ah. Tell me that you still like me. Tell me that you don’t have feelings for that Gu So Hyun!” She shouted.

                “I’m sorry, Sae Ron-ah but you know what I really feel, right?” Joo Hyuk sounded sorry.

                “No!” Sae Ron covered her ears.

                “I like Gu So Hyun.” Joo Hyuk tried to explain but Sae Ron turned her back at him.

                “Wahhh! I can’t hear anything. I don’t hear you!” Sae Ron covered her ears, pretending not to hear and ran.

Joo Hyuk tried to stop her by calling out to her but Sae Ron didn’t stop from running. She needed to get away from that place so she ran and ran until she was outside the school. She was about to go back when she spotted So Hyun and she was about to lunch herself at her but she noticed that someone was hovering around So Hyun. She hid herself behind a wall of bushes while she was still keeping an eye on So Hyun. She tried to sneak a peek and was terrified by what was happening. The man in black caught So Hyun and covered and after a while, So Hyun lost consciousness and the man in black brought her inside a bumble bee design car and they drove off

The present:

                “I was so afraid that I couldn’t feel my legs at that time. I couldn’t even talk or scream. I didn’t know what to do after seeing So Hyun being kidnapped.” Sae Ron stated hysterically. “Even until now, I was still having nightmares because of it. I keep dreaming about that incident.” Sae Ron said in between sobs.

                “Shhh.. It’s okay.” Jin Hwan consoled, holding Sae Ron’s hand in his.

                “We have to go and report this. This may help the authorities in finding Sohyunie.” Sung Jae stood up and was about to leave but Joo Hyuk grabbed his arm, stopping him.

                “I’ll go with you.” Joo Hyuk stated and Sung Jae nodded in agreement.

Yoo Jung was in panic. She didn’t know what to do. She didn’t want her mother to be arrested. She was about to talk about this matter to Sung Jae privately but now the situation has changed.

                “Me too.” Yoo Jung stood up and went to follow them just after giving Sae Ron a kiss on her fore head.

Sung Jae, Joo Hyuk and Yoo Jung were now on their way to the police but Yoo Jung was getting nervous by the minute they were nearing. She was having second thoughts but she suddenly thought of her best friend, Sae Ron. Sae Ron was traumatized seeing the kidnapping on which her mother has ordered. It was basically her family’s fault.

                “Can we stop for a while?” Yoo Jung asked.

                “What? Why?” Sung Jae looked puzzled. “We need to hurry and report this information.” He added.

                “Please. I’m begging you.” Yoo Jung looked desperate and she started to cry.

                “What’s wrong, Yoo Jung-ah? Are you sick?” Joo Hyuk was worried. “Sung Jae-ah, why don’t we stop for a while?” He suggested and Sung Jae was not happy about the idea.

                “Stop the car.” Sung Jae ordered and the driver obliged.

The three of them went out from the car. Joo Hyuk went to buy coffees and when he came back, Yoo Jung finally had calmed down. Yoo couldn’t help herself but cry a while ago knowing that she will have to eventually betray her mother.

                “So, what was that about?” Joo Hyuk asked.

                “Just before we went to the hospital, hearing about Sae Ron, Sung Jae and I were talking about our past. Specifically, we were talking about me and my family.” Yoo Jung started.

Yoo Jung told Joo Hyuk everything as what she had told Sung Jae. At first, Joo Hyuk was shocked but never said anything. Sung Jae was trying not to get furious all over again. Sung Jae and Joo Hyuk thought that the story was about to end, Yoo Jung never stopped and was still about to reveal her darkest secret.

                “My mother told me I was useless, incompetent and senile just because I couldn’t make So Hyun’s life miserable. She said it wasn’t enough. That’s why she did what she thought was best to make the Gu family suffer.” Yoo Jung exclaimed and both Sung Jae and Joo Hyuk have now the slightest idea of what she was about to say. “My mother is behind the kidnapping. My mother has Gu So Hyun.” Yoo Jung finally revealed.

                “What?” Both the guys exclaimed in unison.

                “Then we better go and rescue Sohyunie.” Sung Jae was all ready.

                “Wait. Shouldn’t we report this to the police?” Joo Hyuk suggested and Yoo Jung flinched.

                “No.” Yoo Jung shouted. “Please don’t. If the police will be involved, I’m afraid there will be violence and I don’t want my mother to get hurt. Please.” Yoo Jung begged.

                “Yoo Jung-ah..” Joo Hyuk started to say. “I know this is hard for you but..” Joo Hyuk looked sorry.

                “Please. I beg of you. She still is my mother and I am still her daughter. I can help. I can convince her to surrender herself instead. I know she will if you will let me.” Yoo Jung begged desperately.

                “Okay then.” Sung Jae suddenly butted in.

                “Yah, Yook Sung Jae.” Joo Hyuk wasn’t happy about him agreeing.

                “But are you sure you can do this?” Sung Jae ignored Joo Hyuk and turned towards Yoo Jung.

                “Yes, I can do it. I can do anything to save both So Hyun and my mother.” Yoo Jung declared.

                “Then it’s settled.” Sung Jae said. “We’ll rescue Sohyunie ourselves.” He finished.

So Hyun didn’t know how many days has it been since she was kidnapped. Every single day of her staying in her cage was literally a torture for her. Every day since the day she was kidnapped, Jang Yu Mi would always spare a time to play or torture her. One time, Jang Yu Mi would slap her continually until So Hyun could feel her cheeks getting numb and her lips would bleed but she held it all in just to show her captor that she’s strong but deep inside, she was crying.

                “Please. Someone. Anyone. Help me.” So Hyun cried inside her head.

So Hyun was hugging herself on the cold ground floor until she heard steps that she was afraid to hear. She knew that sound ever since she was taken hostage. The sounds told So Hyun that another torture awaits her.

                “My oh my.” Jang Yu Mi arrived and So Hyun noticed that she was holding a whip. “Ohhh. I guess I don’t have to tell you what kind of suffering you’ll face this time.” She continued, laughing.

                “Go to hell!” So Hyun shouted, her eyes were burning and for a moment, Jang Yu Mi felt scared.

                “Why you little !” Yu Mi was furious. “You!” She gestured to one of the guards. “Open this cage. It’s time for some punishment.” She ordered and the man in black obeyed.
