Boys Over Flower 2Ding Ding Ding Dong..
Ding Ding Ding Dong..
The bell rang indicating that the classes for the day have ended. It was 5pm in the afternoon and students started getting out of their classrooms. Some of them have gathered in the main lobby waiting for the popular kids at school while some of them have already stuck themselves on these kids in their classrooms.
In Year 1 Class 3 room:
Almost all of the students have gathered around Suhyun, Hayi, and Bobby. Bobby was seated on the corner back of the room just beside the glass window while Hayi was seated just in front of him and Suhyun just beside her. Most of the girls were gathered around Bobby while most of the boys were gathered around Suhyun and Hayi.
“Are you going already Bobby-ssi? Can’t you stay for a little longer?”
“Yeah, stay.”
“Well, maybe I could stay for a little while just until my friend comes and pick me up.” Bobby answered and continued on sitting on his chair while smiling widely that made the girls squeak.
“What about you Suhyun-ssi? We’ll be happy if you could join us for some tea.”
“Oh, I love to but, I’m sorry to say that I have to get home quickly and report to my dad. You know, he will want to hear about my first day of high school.” Suhyun answered looking sad and the students seemed to be disappointed.
“Oh, don’t worry Suhyun-ssi, we totally understand.”
“How about you Hayi-ssi, you will join us instead, right?”
“Umm..” Hayi just stared back at her classmates with her puppy dog eyes, unable to utter a word.
“Omo! She’s so cute!”
All the other students at the back became so curious and wanted to take a closer look which made the room more chaotic. One of the female students at the back stumbled and fell.
“Ouch! My ankle!”
“Are you okay?” Suhyun suddenly stood up from her seat and made her way to the injured student.
Suhyun bent down and took one of the student’s arms and put it around her neck. The rest of the students were all staring, amazed by what Suhyun was doing for the injured student. Even Bobby was surprised by Suhyun’s heroic act. Suhyun struggled holding the injured student and the other students were still in a daze.
“Can someone help me bring her to the infirmary? I would be very grateful if someone could.” Suhyun plead.
In an instant all the students were raising towards Suhyun, but one lucky male student were able to grab the other arm of the injured student and put it around his neck and the rest of the students were disappointed and envious.
“Thanks for your help. Ok then, we’ll be going on ahead now.” Suhyun exclaimed. “Hayi-ah, tell So Hyun I will be waiting at the main lobby.” And Suhyun and the other two students went out the classroom.
“Woah! How cool! Song Suhyun really is chivalrous.”
“I know right? Just like her father and brother.”
“What can you say Bobby-ssi?”
“If you say so.” Bobby answered, not interested with the topic.
Bobby was about to lean on his desk to get some nap but the door to their classroom suddenly swung open. All the students including Bobby and Hayi looked at the open door and there was Bi standing and all the female students started squealing.
“Yah Bobby! How long are you going to make all the girls gawk at you? Come on, Sung Jae is looking for us.” Bi found his way towards Bobby, grabbing him by the hem of his shirt and started dragging him away from the crowd.
“Yah! Let go! It’s embarrassing!” Bobby complained but Bi continued on dragging him. “Well, I have to go guys!” Bobby waved goodbye and disappeared behind the closing door.
Bobby and Bi were walking along the hallway towards Sung Jae’s classroom when Bobby suddenly remembered his backpack back in his classroom. He ran back grumpily knowing that he will have to face his highly energetic classmates. Bobby was nearing his classroom when he heard noises, more like arguments.
“No! Hayi-ssi will be going with us.”
“No she won’t. She will come with us right, Hayi-ssi?”
“Hayi said yes to us first.”
All the remaining students were busy arguing that they didn’t even notice Bobby entering the classroom. Hayi was just sitting on her seat and was unable to move a muscle. She was just bowing her head, avoiding her classmates’ questioning looks but Bobby could tell that she was trembling. Then suddenly, one of the students grabbed Hayi by her arm that startled her from her seat and another student grabbed her by the other arm. Hayi started to panic. She didn’t know what to do and then as if she weighs like a feather, someone grabbed her waist and moved with her across the room opposite the crowd. When she lifted her face, she saw Bobby smiling apologetically at their classmates.
“Sorry guys, but we have to go. My cousin is looking for her so I have to take her with me.” Bobby stated and kept on holding onto her waist without his knowing.
Everyone made disapproving noises but started to disperse. Then Bobby took his and Hayi’s bag and ushered her outside the room. He was holding onto her shoulders while ushering her until they were out of sight from their classmates. When they became out of sight, Bobby let his hands fall from Hayi’s shoulders and gave her bag to her.
“Whew! That was close.” Bobby gave out a big sigh of relief. “And you! What was that back there?” He looked at Hayi accusingly.
“Umm..” Hayi fidgeted.
“Why won’t you say something back there? Anyone could get away from that hassle easily.” Bobby exclaimed.
“Umm..” Hayi started to twirl her fingers around. She couldn’t look at Bobby in the eyes.
“You’re the daughter of Soo Yi Jung! You could just charm yourself away from that crowd.” Bobby continued, turning his back from her.
“Umm..” Hayi started trembling.
“Is that all you could say? ‘Umm’? You sound so dumb.” Bobby was surprised by his own words.
When Bobby looked back at Hayi, he saw that she was just standing there, unaffected by his harsh words against her. Bobby didn’t know what to do, whether to say sorry or just leave her there. Bobby knew nothing about his cousin’s friends and doesn’t even care about them but seeing Hayi back there with those chaotic classmates of theirs, he somewhat felt like she was a kid looking for her lost mom and he somewhat felt guilty for saying those things to her. Bobby was about to approach her to apologize but was distracted by the look of enlightenment from Hayi’s face.
“How did you know?” Hayi’s eyes lit up and suddenly became very interested at the current situation.
“HUH?” Bobby was lost and became more distracted when Hayi moved in front of him. Their faces were just inches from each other, making him blush.
“That I’m dumb. How did you know? Wait, did So Hyun tell you? Or you just happen to figure it out yourself? Well if you manage to figure it out, then it means that you’re super smart or I could just be super dumb. And since you’re close with So Hyun, it’s not surprising if she told you about me being like one. Wait, it’s still not fair right? It’s supposed to be OUR secret. Oh well, you’re her family so it’s an exception. Am I right?” Hayi continued on blabbering that made Bobby even more confuse.
“HUH?” Bobby couldn’t close his mouth shut in confusion.
“And to tell you, I’m not dumb all the time, just most of the time, really. There’s a difference.” Hayi confessed, smiling her brightest smile. “Oh! Look at the time, we should get going.” Hayi walked ahead leaving Bobby behind still confused and was trying to absorb what just happened.
“Wait! What? HUH?” He asked, looking so lost.
“Yah! Bobby! You! Can you be any slower?” Bi called out and Bobby broke free from his confusion and left.
In Year 1 class 2 room:
“Sung Kyung-ssi, do you have time after this? We would like to invite you to visit our club.”
“Yeah! Actually, we would like you to be the model for our Art Class.”
“You really are the perfect model for that.”
A lot of students were surrounding Sung Kyoung. Sung Kyoung was sitting at the centre of the arranged seats while the other three (Bi, Jun Hue, and Dong Hyuk) were seated beside each other on the far back of the room. She remembered that
