Right Feelings for the Wrong Person
Boys Over Flower 2“Joo Hyuk-ah! Over there! I want to ride that one.” Sae Ron exclaimed, gesturing to the roller coaster ride.
“Are you serious? Are you not scared of those?” Joo Hyuk asked.
“Of course I’m scared but as long as you’re with me, I’ll be okay.” Sae Ron answered, blushing.
“Geez, you really know what to say. Fine. Let’s ride that one then.” Joo Hyuk declared.
And so, both Sae Ron and Joo Hyuk went to ride the roller coaster. After riding it, they continued on roaming around the amusement park. They were enjoying each other’s company until it became dark and they decided to ride the cable car for their last stop.
Inside the cable car:
“Woah! What a nice view especially during this time of the day. What do you think Joo Hyuk-ah?” Sae Ron asked, glancing at Joo Hyuk.
“You’re right.” Joo Hyuk simply answered and paused. “But I still can’t believe that you actually invited me to come here with you. What’s the reason anyway?” Joo Hyuk asked, glancing back to see her reaction.
Sae Ron became silent. She couldn’t tell him the real reason. She was afraid that if Joo Hyuk will know about Yoo Jung’s idea of her inviting him to the amusement park, he might get disappointed.
“Well, that’s because it’s been a while since we got out so I thought I’d invite you to have some fun. Why? You don’t think that it was fun?” Sae Ron became alarmed thinking about him not having fun with her.
“Ofcourse not! I was having a blast, really.” Joo Hyuk recovered. “It’s just so unusual, that’s all. But I didn’t say that it’s a bad thing.” Joo Hyuk added.
“Is that for real? I mean, it’s not because you’re not enjoying my company and thinking about some other girl, right?” Sae Ron asked, staring straight at Joo Hyuk.
“What? What do you mean..” Joo Hyuk was about to ask further when the cable car suddenly stopped, making everyone inside flinch and Sae Ron almost fell but Joo Hyuk caught her.
“What the.. What happened?” Sae Ron asked and panic could be heard from her voice.
“Are you alright?” Joo Hyuk asked. “The cable car stopped. Must be a blackout seeing that the lights are out.” Joo Hyuk declared, still holding onto Sae Ron and he clearly could feel her trembling.
“I’m scared.” Sae Ron whispered that only Joo Hyuk could hear.
“Don’t be. I’m right here.” Joo Hyuk assured.
“It’s not what you think..” Sae Ron intervened. “I’m scared of losing you to her.” She continued.
“What.. What are you talking about Sae Ron-ah?” Joo Hyuk asked, clearly confused by her words.
“I like you, Nam Joo Hyuk.” Sae Ron confessed making Joo Hyuk freeze. “I’m afraid that you might like that Gu So Hyun. I mean, I can tell that you’re starting to like her and she clearly likes you too! I’m not even your girlfriend so I couldn’t tell her to stay away from you.” Sae Ron blurted out.
“Park Sae Ron. What the hell are you blabbering about? I don’t like So Hyun like that.” Joo Hyuk stated but then he paused and contemplated about what he just said. “I like Gu So Hyun? That’s absurd. I mean, I’ve always liked Sae Ron. Sae Ron’s just don’t know what she’s saying.. Right?” Joo Hyuk thought. “So Hyun’s just a friend. And a GOOD one for that matter so you shouldn’t say something like that.” Joo Hyuk assured.
“Don’t give me that! A friend? Well, does she know that?” Sae Ron became hysterical.
Joo Hyuk didn’t know what to do. He was surprised by Sae Ron’s sudden love confession. He had waited for this moment, a moment where they could finally reveal their feelings for each other but something had changed somehow. Joo Hyuk couldn’t tell what it was yet, but seeing Sae Ron’s hysterical outburst, he decided to do something about it.
“Sae Ron-ah, you shouldn’t feel that way. You knew. You already knew that I’ve liked you ever since our 1st year at middle school, right?” Joo Hyuk countered and this time, Sae Ron looked up at his face.
“What about now?” Sae Ron asked expectantly.
“I..” He paused. “I.. I still do.” Joo Hyuk declared but his expression was unreadable. “Should have I said that? Did I do the right thing just now?” Jo Hyuk still wasn’t sure about his feelings, but he said it anyway for Sae Ron’s sake.
“You do?” Sae Ron lit up after hearing his confession to her. “If you really do, then you have to stay away from Gu So Hyun from now on. For me.” Sae Ron demanded.
“What? I already told you that we’re just friends. What else do I have to do to make you believe me?” Joo Hyuk started to get tired of the conversation and started to look away.
“Just until her feelings for you go away.” Sae Ron interrupted, searching for his eyes.
“How can you even tell that she have feelings for me? I mean, it’s just been weeks since we knew each other!” Joo Hyuk exclaimed and Sae Ron just stared at him seriously.
Joo Hyuk and Sae Ron continued on arguing that they didn’t even notice that some of the passengers in the cable car with them were already staring at them. When they finally noticed, Joo Hyuk gave up on arguing with Sae Ron quickly.
“Fine.” Joo Hyuk finally agreed. “I’ll stay away from her. Just until those absurd thoughts of yours subside.” Joo Hyuk concluded. “Right. I should calm Sae Ron’s feelings and thoughts for now. She comes first. After all, she’s the one that you like, Nam Joo Hyuk.” He told himself as if he’s trying to convinced himself.
Then the lights suddenly went on and the cable car moved again.
At the Girls’ Dormitory:
Tok! Tok! Tok!
Sung Kyoung was brushing her teeth when she heard a knock on the door. She quickly ran towards it and didn’t even bother to rinse to open it. When she opened the door, she saw So Hyun looking frantic.
“What’s up?” Sung Kyoung words became muffled because of the bubbles coming from brushing her teeth.
“It’s Hayi.” So Hyun stated.
After hearing Hayi’s name, Sung Kyoung immediately ran outside to So Hyun and Hayi’s room and So Hyun was following behind her. When they entered the room, they saw Hayi just sitting still on the sofa and staring into nothingness. They both went closer to her and tried to catch her attention but they still got nothing from her.
“What’s wrong with her?” Sung Kyoung demanded and some of the bubbles got spit out from .
“Yah, Yoon Sung Kyoung! Can’t you rinse your mouth first? That’s so disgusting.” So Hyun scolded.
“Aisshh! It’s because you got me worried over Hayi!” Sung Kyoung countered and more bubbles came out.
Sung Kyoung went to rinse while So Hyun continued on catching Hayi’s attention by trying to make a conversation with her. But all she could get were answers she couldn’t understand.
“That’s it. It’s a sign. She’s getting dumber.” Sung Kyoung exclaimed, returning from rinsing .
“Oh, shut up.” So Hyun warned and Sung Kyoung just smiled impishly. “I wonder what happened to her. She really LIKEs the people to worry about her, seriously.” So Hyun commented.
“LIKE?” Hayi suddenly jolted after hearing a specific word, making her friends flinch.
“You like Hayi, right?” Hayi suddenly remembered Suhyun asking Bobby the question.
“Of course NOT!” And this time, Hayi remembered Bobby answering Suhyun’s question.
“Hayi-ah, are you okay? You’re not sick are you? God, this sickness mania sure HATEs us.” So Hyun stated.
“HATE?” Hayi blurted out of nowh
