Jungkook

Not Today

***THREE MONTHS LATER***

The city was changing. The sudden upheaval of the New Order threw everything into chaos. People tried to step in and control the situation, but the people were distrusting. News of the Seoul sector falling spread rapidly, and soon other cities were fighting back. A new police service showed up. They were locals who figured there needed to be some sort of order to the madness. They called themselves the Light. Shadows were rounded up by the Light, and locked away in the abandoned facility. It seemed that the Shadows received frequent doses of the serum, in order to keep them under control. Eventually, their body passed the serum. All it took was time. Some, who had been under NO's iron fist from the beginning, took longer. But even though the serum was out of their system, their eyes remained silver. A scar of what had been done to them.

For a while, South Korea was leaderless, and though the people of Korea were free and happy, they were struggling. Food was difficult to obtain, and businesses were failing because no one governed how they run. No one imported foods, no one exported anything.

Then, a leader took the helm. He was different than the other leaders, and promised a better change for their beloved country. For some reason, over all the others, the people listened to him. They allowed him to stay in power, allowed him to carry out his promises, and South Korea began to mend.

Jungkook sat in front of the wreckage of BTS' sanctuary, head bowed in silent prayer. When he found out that the sanctuary had been destroyed, it added to the guilt he already felt. He didn't know about it, Lee Eun must have figured out a way to find BTS, but still. They never would have been caught if it wasn't for Jungkook.

Before him, was a mound. Grass and wild flowers now grew over it, and it was marked by a simple cross. Taped to it, was a picture of Jin and his family. They were all together now.

Jungkook lifted his gaze and wiped the tears off his cheeks. Three months had passed, and yet he still couldn't rid himself of the pain he felt. It was deep and riddled with guilt. If he had just kept his head down, turned a blind eye to the poor kid and his mother, he wouldn't have been taken. And Jin would still be alive. Jimin and Suga told him over and over not to beat himself up over it, that it wasn't his fault. They saw the way he changed, withdrew into himself. He couldn't sleep without having nightmares about being in the facility, or seeing Jin's face as he pulled the trigger. He couldn't eat, and what he did eat, he threw back up. The serum had passed long since passed through his system, but the silver eye remained. A constant reminder of what he did. Even though they tried to comfort him, Jungkook knew they blamed him as well. How could they not? Jungkook pulled the trigger. Jungkook shot Jin. Jungkook caused the rift between BTS.

Someone approached. Tensing, Jungkook glanced over his shoulder. Taehyung stood, eyes wide in surprise. He looked down uncomfortably, as Jungkook stood.

"Joesonghamnida," Jungkook muttered, bowing. "Sorry. I didn't think anyone was going to be here."

Taehyung regarded him for a moment, with a look full of conflicting emotions. Of all the boys, Taehyung couldn't bear to be anywhere near Jungkook. He shut him out entirely. Jungkook accepted it, knew how much pain Taehyung was in, but it still hurt him. He didn't want to hurt anyone, and he ended up hurting all of them.

"I'll just go...." Jungkook smiled sadly down at Jin's grave. "Annyeonghyung." Goodbye

"Wait."

Jungkook stopped, his head hanging. Taehyung didn't say anything for a long moment.

"Dont go."

Jungkook turned back to Taehyung, who bit his lip. He still looked uncertain, but he didn't retract his statement. Then Jungkook nodded and moved back to Taehyung's side. They stood there for a moment, staring at the grave, in silence. Then Taehyung sighed, suddenly wrapping his arms around Jungkook's shoulders. Jungkook stiffened, but when he realized that Taehyung wasn't going to throw more punches, he melted and welcomed the hug.

Taehyung was the first to pull away. "I know you're being hard on yourself." He raised a hand to silence Jungkook. "It's stupid. You didn't do anything on purpose, and honestly, if it was any of us, we probably would have done the same thing. But Suga said you fought. For that, I thank you." He crouched down next to Jin's grave. "And, he died protecting his family. He died fighting what he believed in." He bit his lip. "Just...don't be so hard on yourself. Jin wouldn't have wanted you to die, and we can't lose anyone else."

"Hyung...."

Shrugging, Taehyung stood again and wrapped his arm around Jungkook's shoulders. "It's going to take some time, but everything will be fine."

Jungkook smiled softly. It was like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders. Everything was going to be alright after all. "Gomabseubnida." Thank-you.

Chapter 11: Okay, i know BTS really want to fight NO and save their maknae. But do they have their own weapons, supplies, money or another friend/supporter/ally?
NO is a big evil organizations. They have everything to annihilate their all opponents.
Jin is not stupid to put BTS into danger without preparations. They're unable fight the Shadows without weapons.
.
Taejin moment save me from this stress *slapped*
hwaiting, authornim..

Chapter 10: Truly, i can't see Taehyung's characteristic here. Maybe add some dialog to him, so i can understand his personality (calm, weird, childish or mature, etc)
