“Jung Yerin!!!” Sowon says enthusiastically as she waves her arms all over the place when she sees the blonde girl coming up to her. Happy that her friend came to help her find a gift for her girlfriend, Eunha.

“You’re lucky I actually came-- I can’t believe you made me get out of the house this time of the year” Yerin says in distaste as she looks around the mall that they were in. Cringing over all the couples that she saw before her with their public display of affection.

“I guess you really want that Jibang plushie don’t you?’ the red haired girl says smirking. There were a lot of ways to get Yerin out of the house, Sowon only went with this route because she knew the others wouldn’t work-- especially at this time of month.

Yerin only rolls her eyes and Sowon’s smirk widens. “Yes, and you better make sure I get it by the end of this. Now what do you have in mind for Eunha?” the blonde girl retorts as she face the taller girl.

“Ah.. that’s why I asked you to come! I have no idea, help me please?” Sowon exclaims in distress and Yerin crosses her arms. “Yah, it’s your girlfriend, not mine. But lucky for you I think I know what’d be perfect for her this time around”

Sowon smiles in amusement and only giggles as a response. Yerin started leading the way and started giving suggestions to what possibly could suit the red haired girl’s partner taste. The three of them are close friends and it just so happens that the two fell in love with each other, leaving Yerin all alone and single.

It actually didn’t take them that long to decide what to get Eunha. They ended up purchasing matching couple necklaces and a cozy black coat for the girl due to the chilly spring weather.

And as promised, Sowon now leads the younger girl to the nearest plush store to get her the latest Jibang plushie available. When the cashier asked if Yerin wanted a paper bag to keep her Jibang in, the blonde on grinned and shook her head happily. Holding it tightly in her arms with her grin still intact.

“Yah, Eunha just messaged me. I have to cut this short, sorry! Oh and thank you again for helping me!” Sowon says looking at her phone. Quickly putting it in her pocket, she rushed her way to the nearest elevator leaving Yerin’s sight. Sighing in defeat, the blonde decides to get some fresh air outside of the building that she was in.

Yerin steps outside of the building and breathes in the chilly spring air, her Jibang tightly held in her left arm as her right hand holds a starbucks drink. Taking a sip of the drink she crosses the current empty road not caring that she sort of just broke the law.

Not sure of where she’s heading, she just went with what her legs lead her to. And that is.. a park near the huge building she just left. A park where flowers were blooming so beautifully as it’s currently spring. But it’s also a park that’s filled with humans being all lovey dovey with each other as it’s that time of the year, again.

Her eyes wandered throughout the scenery looking for a place to sit. She raises her eyebrows in delight as she sees a couple getting up from a bench that was under a blooming tree, quickly scattering her feet towards it.

She sits down at one end of the bench and takes in another deep breath before admiring the pink flower petals above her. A soft wind blew past her and the petals went along with it, leaving Yerin with her eyes closed enjoying the cool breeze as the petals fall before her. Breathing out, she opens her eyes and tightly squeezes her Jibang plushie securing it more. Blinking blankly, she let out a sneeze. Why is it spring again? She thought to herself shaking her head.

Those brown orbs of hers wander around the park again, noticing that everyone somehow has partner with them and how she’s all alone with her Jibang plushie, not that it was a problem though. Yerin has never been the one to get into relationships anyways. The thought of relationships makes her cringe but she could never deny that some people have made her heart skip a beat before.

Speaking of, in the midst of happy couples she laid her eyes on this one particular girl that not only made her heart skip a few beats but also took her breathe away. Cliche, but at times like this- it really seemed to be that way. Yerin couldn’t help but stare. She can feel her heart racing and blood rushing to her cheeks. Something that rarely happens to her.

Yerin /stalked/ observed the girl from a far. Eyeing her up and down, noticing her messy ponytail and how perfectly her baby hair falls down against the side of her face. Even from a far Yerin couldn’t help but swoon over that smile, it seemed that girl just finished buying some ice cream and she was thanking the person. Why is she eating ice cream in this weather?

The girl turns and faces Yerin’s direction, the blonde immediately cuts her gaze and her eyes meet the ground. She awkward takes a sip into her drink hoping that the girl didn’t notice her stare. Yerin sets her drink aside and takes out her phone, opening her SNS immediately to shake off her the flustered feeling she’s currently in. Aish, when did it get so warm here?

She scrolls slowly through her SNS and hears footsteps coming closer. It’s not her, why would she come here?

Finally a figure is standing in front of her, blocking the sun that resulted her to be overshadowed. “Hi, are you waiting for someone?” she hears a voice, a girl voice, ask. The blonde lifts up her head and her eyes meet the orbs that were owned by the girl whom she was looking just a few moments ago.

“U-um.. no-” Yerin stutters her words and repositions herself straightening her body. The girl in front of her flashes her bold smile and Yerin tried her best not to physically react. Raising her eyebrows, the girl lifts up her hand that’s holding a plastic bag and dangles it in front of Yerin. “I hope you like ice cream” She says and proceeds to sit down beside the blonde girl.

Speaking of which, Yerin wasn’t sure how to react. How does one react to a gorgeous girl suddenly coming up to her and is sort of offering ice cream?

The blonde’s thoughts were interrupted when the girl beside her spoke up. “Here” She says. Yerin finally turns her head and looks at the girl that has her hand out. Mint Chocolate, my favorite. An ‘o’ shape can be seen on Yerin’s lips.

“Tha-thank you” Yerin thanks her shyly with a small smile, looking elsewhere avoiding eye contact. But she could clearly see that bold smile of the stranger through her peripheral vision. Her heart reacts beating faster.

Reaching out for the ice cream, Yerin lets out another sneeze and thankfully she avoided sneezing onto the girl. A light chuckle can be heard coming from the stranger. “It’s a bit chilly here isn’t it?”

“Yeah, and I have pollen allergies” Yerin replied scrunching her nose and takes the ice cream from the strangers hand. “My name’s Sinb, by the way” the stranger finally introduces herself. Yerin who was currently trying to open the plastic of the ice cream looks up and makes eye contact with her. Also noticing the light blush on her cheeks. Yerin flashes Sinb a wide smile. “I’m Yerin”

Smiling back, Sinb continues to eat her orange flavored ice cream while secretly glancing at Yerin every once in awhile. She couldn’t help but notice how adorable the other girl was. “Yerin-ssi” Sinb speaks up in the midst of silence that they’re in. Yerin pauses her enjoyment of eating her mint chocolate ice cream and turns to face Sinb, raising her eyebrows.

“Has anyone ever told you that you’re so cute?” Sinb says out of the blue. Taken aback, Yerin only blinks blankly at the girl.

“Is that weird? I’m sorry” Sinb says and looks at the ground in front of her. Sinb can’t see it but a smile is now present on Yerin’s lips. “Has anyone ever told you that you’re stunning?”

Upon hearing those words Sinb looks up and turns to Yerin once again meeting her eyes. She didn’t expect that type of response from the blonde.

“Are you thirsty? We just had ice cream” Yerin says all of a sudden and Sinb only nods still a little speechless. “Let’s go get a drink then”

The blonde gets up and turns to face Sinb who was still sitting down on the bench. She gives her hand out and Sinb notices a hand in front of her face. A bit startled by the sudden gesture, she looks up and sees a smiling Yerin. She also notices that Yerin’s eyes were smiling too. But with no hesitation she takes in the blondes hand in hers. Now she’s smiling too.

So I decided to write this based on Yerin’s new (well not so new anymore) collab with Cao Lu and Kisum! I’m obsessed with that song and Yerin’s voice it in melts me.
