“I have a proposition to offer you, Yerin-ssi” Sinb said as she sat up straight. Yerin took note that she was on her bed as the bedframe can be seen in the background. Her walls were a light shade of blue. She nodded in response.

“Would you perhaps have dinner with me sometime…?” 

Yerin’s eyebrows shot up in question, then furrowed as she thought of an answer, her lips pursed together with a soft hummed coming out of her. 

“Dinner…” Yerin whispered to herself. “What’s the occasion?”

Sinb blinked blankly at Yerin’s question, and that’s when she realised that there’s that one possibility that Yerin might not have swung her way. She gave herself a mental slap for that one.

But the idol figured that she’s already too deep into this to back out or make up other excuses,

“A date.” 

Yerin tilted her head with her eyebrows still furrowed together, confused. “A date?”

“Mhm.”

Yerin couldn’t process this properly. Sinb--wants to go on a date with her? How on earth did she come up with that? 

“Like… a friendly fan and idol dinner date?”

Sinb didn’t know if she wanted to laugh or sigh at Yerin’s question. She thought it was adorable, though is Yerin really this oblivious? And then she remembered her conversation with the girl earlier today and it made perfect sense.

“No, Yerin-ssi. A date as in… a romantic date. I would like to take you out for dinner, and treat you for the night. We would dress up and meet somewhere, eat good food and see where things go on from there…” Sinb explained thoroughly. 

“Oh… But wouldn’t that be difficult considering… you’re… you know… Sinb?” 

Sinb chuckled lightly. “I will figure something out, so… what do you think?”

“Um… yes. I’d love to…? Though, I’m just a little confused…”

“What about?”

“Why me? I’m a girl?” 

“That’s exactly why, Yerin-ssi” Sinb only smiled at Yerin’s cluelessness.

“What? ...Oh? Huh? You’re…?” 

“Let’s save that conversation for our date, shall we?” 

“Okay…”

“Okay… I’d love to talk to you more, Yerin-ssi, but we both have a long day ahead of us tomorrow. Let’s get some sleep.”

“It’s already 10:45 PM...”

“Will you be there tomorrow for the fansign?”

“I wasn’t able to get the tickets to them for tomorrow, but I will be there next Thursday.”

“Ah, that’s a bummer. Do you still want to come?”

“If I had a ticket, I would love to, but I don’t… so…” 

“I’ll give my manager a call and set something up for you… Goodnight Yerin-ssi, don’t forget to check your phone tomorrow morning!”

Everything went by so fast and before you know it, Yerin whispered her “Goodnight” and Sinb immediately ended the facetime. 

A text came through her Kakaotalk.

Sinb(?): Thank you for talking to me tonight, Yerin-ssi. Goodnight.

YR: It’s a pleasure, Eunbi-ssi. Goodnight, sleep well.

Both girls sighed as they locked their phones. Yerin slumped into her chair, while Sinb couldn’t help but feel so happy that she squirmed into her bed, hearts thumping hard and fast. 

Yerin still couldn’t wrap her head around what just happened. Sinb actually gave her personal number to her. 

And Sinb had no idea how she got so bold.

It seems surreal and she doesn’t know if she’s dreaming or not. All this time, she has been keeping her distance and took extra measures to make sure Sinb can’t even notice her. So why her? There are other fans who deserved this more than her, and a date at that? Shouldn’t Sinb be going out with someone of the same level as her? She didn’t mind the fact that Sinb might be gay, but at the same time how is this going to be perceived if it get out? So many questions are running through Yerin’s mind right now. 

She feels a little heavy from what happened but at the same time she’s floating, she felt really happy that Sinb trusted her that much to even give her personal number. It felt like she achieved something, though she doesn’t want to feel too over the moon because things might go downhill from here.

Yerin didn’t know what to do now. She checks her schedule on her phone, since she didn’t get the tickets for the fansigning she had a free day tomorrow to do whatever she wanted. But since Sinb said that she should check her texts tomorrow morning, she thought she should consider it to be true just in case and prepared her camera for it.

It was almost 12:00 AM when Yerin finally finished transferring all the photos and videos from her camera’s memory card to her laptop. Her eyes sting from staring at her laptop for too long and probably because they’re begging to close right now. 

Shutting her laptop down, she left it there and went straight to her bedroom, plopping herself down on her comfortable bed. She can already feel her mind drifting into slumber, but she had one last thing to do. 

She unlocked her phone and went into the Phone app, searching for Sinb’s name. She tapped on the edit button and changed it. 

‘Eunbi’

A small smile formed on her lips unknowingly as she then went ahead and opened Kakaotalk.

YR: Sorry to text you so late, Eunbi-ssi. But I just wanted to let you know I’m waking up around 9:30 AM tomorrow. I hope that’s fine since you said to check my phone in the morning, you didn’t specify the time so I just made a good assumption. I hope it’s not troubling you or your manager. Thank you. Goodnight, I hope you are sleeping well. 

Yerin locked her phone and plugged in the charger, setting it on her bedside table. Finally, she can drift into sleep. Though her hands are clammy and cold, with her heart still beating as fast as ever. She hoped that this feeling would settle down in the morning.

Eunbi: Good morning, Yerin-ssi. Thank you for texting me last night, here are the details for today’s fansign.

Just contact this number (it’s my manager and he’s aware of who you are) and let him know when you’re outside of the venue. He’ll bring you inside. 

I’m sure you already know what time the fansigning starts, but it’s okay if you want to come early too, perhaps around 2:30 PM? 

I hope to see you soon. Have a good morning and don’t forget to eat some breakfast and lunch. 

Yerin accidentally hit snooze on her phone and ended up waking up around 10:15 AM instead. 

The girl had her breakfast, took a refreshing shower and did her makeup for the day. She wore her usual all black outfit, adding different accessories to make it interesting. This time she styled her outfit with a black cap that had those holes and rings on the side. 

It’s almost 12:00 o’clock by the time she got ready for the day. She calculated the time for travel and concluded that she needs to leave the house around 1:30 PM if she wants to be there on time. Since she has about an hour to spare, she decided to review her pictures of Sinb from yesterday. 

She reviewed each picture one at a time, copying the ones she liked and thought was the best into a separate folder. Yerin knows she can’t get this all done in one sitting so she doesn’t rush it.

Half an hour has passed and she got a couple good pictures from the hundreds that she took. Satisfied with her progress so far, she shut down her laptop and decided to just sit down and enjoy her leisure time before heading out. 

If Yerin was going to be honest with herself, she’s actually a little addicted to Twitter, that blue bird app is sometimes the cause of her not being able to sleep at night. That doesn’t stop her from going on it, though.

She goes through her mentions and scans the many questions she’s gotten. Being a fansite meant that other fans would want to know pretty much about a lot of things. Since she’s good at english, she also has an international following and she loves the international fanbase because they’re really funny.

She chuckled at her fellow fandom members. She decided to reply to the question that asked if Sinb was doing okay. 

Replying @TTongdari_sinb: She was doing fine, we had an interesting conversation that I cannot disclose to the public though… kkkk

Immediately after tweeting, other users started swarming her notifications, curious to what the conversation was about. She giggled to herself and decided to address it before any rumours started to spread.

Okay everyone… for the sake of Sinb’s embarrassment I will only say one thing: it had something to do with wanting to go to the bathroom…

This was the first time she had to lie to her followers about whatever Sinb had said. The last thing she wants is for the idol to be in bad light. 

After that tweet, everyone in her mentions couldn’t help but clown the idol and as much as Yerin felt bad, she loved reading the tweets as they were really funny. She was sure that Sinb wouldn’t come across the tweet too so she didn’t really think much of it. 

Yerin was more bubbly and cheerful online, she thought of it as like a persona she had inside of her. Though she was still herself, just more cheeky and playful. She didn’t want to be too serious so this is what she came up with. It’s been going great so far.

She scrolled down through more tweets and liked a few that she thought was funny. One stood out in particular, she decided to quote it.

@EunbiEunbi: she really out here talking about wanting to poop with fans… but what can we really expect from her? *sips tea* she’s lucky we love her

Yerin chuckled while tapping the tweet button. She glanced at the clock on her phone, it’s 1:15 PM already. She got up from her sofa and went to double check everything before starting her travel.
