Chapter 7

Once We noticed Mr. Yang standing by the door watching Us practice I immediately turned off the music  and  bowed to him, voicing my greeting.

“Hyung You are still here?”  SeungHyun  as Mr.Yang entered the  dance studio 

“So it seems” He answered in a calm yet cool voice, I just wanted to disappear from the room. Although I had seen Mr. Yang I had yet to meet him formally, and I was afraid to meet him, I mean He was my Boss’ Boss’ Boss  and He seemed so intimidating.

“Who is this ?” He asked when We made no intention of introducing myself. 

“She is …”

“ I am…” We said at the same time 

 “ I’m Daniella the new assistant manager of Seunghyun-ssi” I said bowing to him as I introduced myself

“Oh I see, I knew You had joined Us but wasn't aware You were so young” Seunghyun

 out right laughed  while all I could do was smile and look down 

“Well I see You guys have been practicing and I saw an unfamiliar face and came to see who it was” Mr Yang explained after seeing Us fluster “ continue with your practice, I’ll like take a look at it” 

“Oh yes”  I said  looking at Seunghyun  take position on the dance floor  and I pressed play to start the music. I took several steps back letting Seunghyun dance by himself  but Mr. Yang interrupted. and looking at me said 

“Join him, just like before and I want to hear the song too like  You were doing before I came in”

I was flustered at his petition, I was’t sure why I must sing and dance, but I had to oblige to his petition so I took my place in the dance floor along with the microphone We had been practicing with. Looking towards Seunghyun who nodded in response , I one again pressed play and put the control in my pocket.  We started dancing, I tried giving it my all since Mr. Yang was watching Us intently and I didn’t want to disappoint him. Although I wasn't sure why I was trying so hard, I mean He is my boss but I'm not an artist nor I'm  a choreographer in his company. We danced and sang our hearts out and left it all in the dance floor. I was so relieved to see that Seunghyun kept in mind all the pointers I had giving him earlier and his dancing seemed a lot better, even his facial expressions were on point with the song. Mr. Yang must have been satisfied with the performance for once We were done all He said was “tcha ,  go rest for now it’s getting quite late and keep up the  good work , it looks good TOP” and He exited the dance practice studio leaving Us with wondering thoughts. 

“What was that about?”  I asked  wiping the sweat off my face with a towel 

“ He checks on Us from time to time, I’m sure He checked on GD too before coming here”

“Well let’s go , You heard the Boss He said its late” I said smiling and grabbing our stuff from the couch , Seunghyun just nodded and followed me out 

“Should We check on GD and see if He still there or if He wants a ride home?”

“ I’m sure He is going to pull an all nighter but lets see what He says”

We walked to GD’s studio just to find it dark and empty  “I wonder if MR. Yang also told him to leave?” 

“It seems like it, any how lets go, I'm super tired” Seunghyun said pushing me towards the elevator.  I needed to drive back to the dorm , it was very late and Kwangsoo had already retired for the day. 

“Are You sure You can drive?” asked me Seunghyun when He saw how tired I was 

“yes, don't worry, I'm tired but I'm not sleepy yet, besides I want to get home asap , I need to take a shower I stink” I put my seat belt on 

“Lets see” said Seunghyun as He moved towards me as if to take a sniff 

“ DON’T” I screamed at him pushing him away while He just laughed 

“ I’m kidding!!”  He joked as He returned to his seat “ Thank You” He said as I drove towards the parking lot exit. 

“ For?!”   asked confused as I merged into the intersection 

“For helping me with the dance” He sounded very grateful
