The next morning I woke up and my brain was pounding the hangover was real.

“looks like you all had a great time last night” our manager said as he came to collect us to take us to YGE. One by one all the members, Sora and Dami came downstairs. Sora was looking fresher than any of the rest. 

The night flashed before my eyes, from the kiss and how close I came to making love with her, but most importantly to her saying she liked me too. I turned to Sora and gave her a meaningful look. She only shot me a confused look and turned to go get her things. We were going to drop Dami and Sora back to their hotel. I was dying to talk to Sora, but we didn’t have the time. We had lots of things to do that day at the company.

Mr. Kwon made sure we met up for dinner, they were going back home after that. And after dinner I finally pulled Sora aside by the wrist as we were all headed to the van.

“do you remember what happened last night?” I asked her quickly

“No, I’ve been trying to remember but I cant remember anything past the round of drinking games”

My stomach dropped to my feet “so you don’t remember what you told me ?”

For a moment I thought she might remember, but she just shook her head “No, did I do something wrong?”

I kicked the ground as I let her go “nothing, you said you were proud of me”

She smiled “i am”

Ji and I  remained on the street to see them drive off. I watched them leave with a clump in my chest. I had stupidly  thought that we were meant to be. Even though I didn’t see it at the time, I now know it was for the best. I mean I don’t know how we would have made it work: I mean she would soon leave to God knows where and I would have to focus on my music career. We were at different points in our lives. I knew that we would still see each other not only was I technaclly part of her family but she was joining the entertainment business too as a model. The showbiz family I actually quite small and we would run into each other even if we don’t intend to.

After our debut, my members and I struggled to top the charts. No matter how much the agency promoted us or exposed us, we were just not making it. We were getting ready to say goodbye to each other, thinking the best bet was for us to try and go solo. Eventually YG let us produce one more mini album, thats when GD wrote Lies and Big Bang landed its first hit, it was all going well for us. We moved to a really nice apartment, we all got beautiful brand new cars like we had always dreamt of and we had the success we were a craving for. We were invited to parties and events every day, our schedules were packed. We were living it up. 

Two years as idols and we were dominating the charts, we had made it. We were everywhere in Korea, there was not a single business that was not playing our songs.

Then one night Hyunsuk-Hyung walked into our dorm to announce we were going to go to Japan. 

“you are going to promote in Japan” He said, he looked so exited, so proud. Man we were all exited. This was the first time we were going international. I mean we were so happy that we had finally made it in Korea but we knew we were ready to take our music to more places. So when Hyunsuk-Hyung told us we were going to Japan we were in could nine. That was what we were waiting for.
