“The only bad thing about all this is that you will live at the trainee dorm” complained Bomi as she helped me gather my stuff after the audition. Mina and her were there waiting for me to support me while I under went a singing and dancing audition. Of course Seunghyun and GD were there but they were there as judges and their day was nowhere to be done.

Bomi was right if I passed the audition it was expected that I would end up living at the trainee’s dorm. But there was no way I was going to live there, I had talked it over with Seunghyun and well it was better for me to live else where I mean not all trainees lived at the dorms only those who’s homes are too far away, so it was normal that Bomi assumed that was going to be my case since my home was in America not Seoul 

“Actually, I’ve already signed a great lease on a flat” I lied 

“You have? Without consulting me?” My dear friend Bomi was all pouting and looked at me as if I’d totally betrayed her.

“I’m Sorry” I said 

“She couldn’t pass it up,” Mina said, stepping in to help me sell the lie.  Apart from the Big Bang members Mina was the only one we had inform of our relationship, we had agreed to tell the manages and of course Bomi too but we decided to just wait till I was under contract and training under YG before we dropped the bomb onto her.

“It’s just I know so much about real estate” the pout deepened 

“It’s just a lease” I reminded her with a dry laugh

“It’s still a contract and you know what I read the other day in the news? That more and more landlords are taking advantage of foreigners tenants?” Bomi was always like this; even in America   she always made everything sound scary

“I’m sure it will be fine” I said.

“She is renting it from a nice old lady” Mina Jumped in. After all she is our accomplice 

I shot her a warning look. This lie was growing so quickly I wasn’t sure we could keep up with it.

“I left some papers in the office, I’ll meet you downstairs so you can tell me more about this lease” Bomi said as she left Mina and me to go downstairs 

I smacked Mina in the arm as soon as Bomi was out of earshot. “I don’t have a nice little, old lady or a flat”
 
“Actually, “she said drawing out the word dramatically, “You do, Seunghyun asked me to help you look for a place, He knows you will pass the audition and so you won’t be staying at the temporary room you are staying now. And so I got just the place”

My eyebrows popped up in surprise “you did?”

“My great aunt Kim Young Hee has a building around here”

I wouldn’t have thought it possible to be as surprised but I was. “Your great aunt lives in Hongdae?”

“Mhm, just wait,” Mina said as if it wasn’t weird to have an older relative living in one of the hippest areas in Seoul “you are going to love her.”

“I don’t know.” I said “I haven’t seen it and well you know we need to be careful” I gave her a you know what I mean? kind of look.

“Trust me on this, we’re meeting her tomorrow, besides you already told Bomi is done and dealt with”
