I wake with the soft humming sound; it’s my husband’s voice. I blink my eyes open to see him a few meters away from the bed. He was soothing Jongyul into his arms while gently rubbing the baby’s back. I shoot up wide awake—did I not hear him crying? “Is he alright?” I ask and was about to get off the bed when Baekhyun signaled me not to. “It’s okay. . .” He mouths with his lips and offered a sweet smile at me. I watch in silence. We always take turns to nursing Jongyul but I never really had a chance to watch Baekhyun do so—I was too preoccupied about a lot more other things. Mommy duties. He looks so dependable—very fatherly, of course. I could feel my cheeks burning just by watching. Jongyul had one side of his face resting on Baekhyun’s right chest area and he’s already fast asleep. My husband on the other hand just continued humming a random song while admiring the baby depending on his father’s arms right now. “Yeobo.” I call softly. Baekhyun turns to me and began walking to the bed. He gently sat down on the edge while checking if Jongyul would wake up—fortunately enough, he didn’t. “Was he crying?” I ask as I gently my palm across Jongyul’s head. “Yes. But you were dead sleeping, so I took it.” Baekhyun whispers back with a sheepish grin.

It’s funny how frantic I am whenever I would take care of Jongyul but here’s my husband—a childish grown man—just doing the job effortlessly and with a very chill state. It’s hard to be calm, but he is right now. “How’s work?” I manage to finally ask, it’s been weeks since I actually last ask about it. I’ve been losing my attention to him ever since we got Jongyul—it’s hard to explain—like he barely exists sometimes. It’s wrong but at the same time, it was inevitable. I feel sorry. “I’m doing great. My team’s producing another big album but I didn’t join in for a while. I’m secretly producing a particular music. I need to finish it all first before telling them cause they might go berserk.” He explained. Wow, he talked like he didn’t talk for ages.

“Why would they go berserk?” I sneer. “I’m producing a children’s song album.” He answered and for a while, I had my eyes bulging out. An R&B, Ballad and Acoustic composer doing a children’s song album? That’s new. “W-why?” I ask and had to old my laugh. “Because I’m inspired.” He answered and looked down to Jongyul again and gave his head a light kiss. My heart melted again. He looked at me and it got worse, my eyes flicker with joy and amazement. Why is he so perfect? “You will. . . release it? Which group?” I ask earning a mortified look from him. “Of course it’s not for a group, are you crazy? I would release it independently. I’m not trying to make money. I just want to. . . give a little gift to my little one.” He explained.

Damn, why is he so fatherly cute.

He’s so innocent yet mature.

“You. . . will sing it?” I ask and this time, I earned a light flick on my forehead. “Of course not. I got a few young cute singers to help me out on the demo. When I finish it all, I’ll show it to my team and ask for their go signal for it to be officially produced.” He explained. I was about to speak back when we heard Jongyul’s baby moan. He’s awake again but luckily, he didn’t wake up to cry like always. It’s like being in his father’s chest right now gave him a nice wakey wakey mood. “M-m-meu..meu…” He began babbling while looking up to Baekhyun who had a cute grin. “Eomma? Eomma?” He mutters while nodding. “M-hmmeu. . .” Jongyul imitated my husband but failed to say the very word-of course. He just ended up creating random gibbers. “I think he wants his milk now.” I say and took my son from my husband. “Ooh~ Early in the morning huh? So young to give such manly vibes, huh?~” Baekhyun teases. I just scoff at him while pulling one side of my dress shirt down.

“Is it painful?” Baekhyun suddenly asks while watching Jongyul latch on my —or was he just looking at it alone? “Sometimes. Wait scratch that, all the time. Like my s would fall off that’s why I change from left to right.” I explain. I see him having that pained expression, he must be imagining it himself. “Anyway, don’t you have work? I’ll go out and make breakfast. Prepare now.” I stand up, carefully to avoid interrupting my baby from his meal. I see my husband simply smiling at my direction as I walk out. I know, I haven’t don
