Important, not a chapter
SmileToday is a pretty dark day for the entire Kpop fandom, and just the world, for obvious reasons. This world has lost SHINee's Jonghyun, who was an incredible vocalist, songwriter, and just an amazing person.
Lucifer was one of the very first Kpop videos I watched, and Jonghyun was the one that caught my eye in it. He always openly supported LGBTQ+ rights, no matter how much hate he got for it. I clearly remember how my respect for him increased exponentially when he had his scandal about imitating Indian culture inappropriately - his apology more than made up for his mistakes, and it showed just how great of a person he was.
We've lost a true angel, a truly wonderful person. But it comforts me that wherever he is now, he must be in a better place than he was when he was with us. Such an angel deserves that.
The main reason that I am posting this note about this event is because what happened with Jonghyun ties in greatly with the themes of this story. The characters in this story struggle with a lot of heavy issues. As I have stated before, they are much more exaggerated than the events that have happened in my life, but all three main characters stem from parts of my life and personality.
Therefore, if any of you need someone to talk to, anyone at all, know that you can come to me. Yes, I don't know you personally, but I never judge and I am always willing to help.
And I did not start writing this story to romanticize any of these issues - I write this story to show how people can overcome their inner demons. If any of you think that my story is promoting anything negative, let me know immediately and I will fix it.
I also apologize for not posting in so long. I have been extremely busy, and my entire life has changed drastically in the past four months, which has made it really hard to find time to write. The next update is in progress, though. I'm hoping to get it up by the end of the year, so please don't pressure me for an update; it will happen, I haven't dropped this story.
Do not hesitate to reach out if you need help. I promise I will do my best to talk to any one of you, no matter what the problem is.
