Jimin didn't know if there was ever a set time when he knew that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Yoongi. It wasn't a sudden thought or a realisation, and he sometimes wondered when he knew. Maybe it was when he first laid eyes on Yoongi, the small and cute blonde boy who panicked in front of him, before he even knew his name, before he even knew that Yoongi was deaf. Maybe it was when Jimin's heart fluttered when Yoongi stopped walking in the middle of the street to take a picture of a particular flower pot that he thought looked good. Jimin didn't know if it was the big things in their life or the smaller things that made him realise that he was absolutely and completely in love with this boy. 

He looked over at Yoongi who was in the middle of drawing a cat, his eyes hard and completely focused and his bottom lip hidden between his teeth. Maybe it was this exact moment when he realised, Jimin really didn't know. He carried on watching the older draw, completely mesmerised by him. Yoongi didn't look up, he never did when he was drawing, because he had an image in his mind and if he looked away then the image would shatter, and his work would be ruined. Sometimes Yoongi would draw for hours, not once looking up from the paper. When he stopped to sip his drink or have a bite of whatever food Jimin brought him, he would close his eyes, protecting whatever he could see in his mind. 

Yoongi would be occupied for at least another hour or two, but Jimin left behind a note telling him where he was before he left for Seokjin's house. The oldest was surprised to see him so unexpectedly, but he let him in anyway. "What's up?" Seokjin asked, taking a seat across from Jimin and raising an eyebrow. He obviously knew something was off; was Jimin really that transparent? "There's a sign that I haven't learnt, but I really need it," Jimin started. His hands were shaking a lot, and Seokjin poured him a glass of water before responding, "okay, what is it?" Jimin reached for his cup, but his hands shook so much, and the water spilled over the coffee table. "God, Jimin, what's wrong?" Seokjin wasn't mad, just incredibly concerned. He'd never seen Jimin like this before. He took the cup away from him and Jimin imidiately covered his face, the cool water on his hands soothing his burning skin. "Jimin," Seokjin said sternly. He crouched down in front of Jimin and pulled his hands away, "what do you want to sign?" 

Jimin was blushing so much. He could feel his face burning and his hands shook even in Seokjin's firm hold. He was just so nervous. "Jimin," the older repeated, urging him to get to the point. "I want to..." Jimin snatched his hands away and placed them on his hot cheeks, blushing even more, but smiling widely too, "I want to ask Yoongi to marry me." Seokjin's eyes widened and his jaw dropped, but he didn't say anything for over a minute, simply staring back at Jimin. The older glanced down at his own wedding ring, "oh." "Is it a problem?" Jimin asked, frowning. Seokjin got up and poured himself a glass of water, "it's not a problem," he started, sitting back on the sofa opposite Jimin, "just... Have you thought this through? You're not just doing this out of impulse right?" "No. I'm doing this because I love him," Jimin defended. "I know," the older sighed, "but there's a lot to think about. A lot would change."

Maybe Jimin hadn't thought it through. Seokjin spent nearly an hour explaining to him the many changes that would come with marrying Yoongi. For starters, it would mean that Jimin became his carer, since he would be his only family. But that didn't mean that Seokjin was no longer needed in their lives, since he was still Yoongi's translator. Seokjin also lectured him about the emotional costs, that if Jimin did feel that he wanted to break up, it would be a lot harder and a lot more painful for both of them. Jimin didn't worry about that though, if Jimin was ever going to break up with Yoongi, he would have done it by now. "Still want to go ahead?" Seokjin asked, and Jimin nodded; he'd already made the decision to marry Yoongi and that would never, ever change. "Okay," Seokjin smiled, and he carefully taught Jimin the sign.

"Can I see that one?" Jimin pointed to a ring in a display case, and the cashier gave it to him to look closely at. "What do you think?" He looked at Taehyung, who had come to the shops with him. The younger shrugged, "they all look the same to me." "Tae!" Jimin whined, "well, which one would you want if Hoseok was proposing to you?" "What if I wanted to propose to him?" "You know what I mean." Taehyung eyed the ring more closely, "I like that one." "But is it enough?" "Jimin we've been in this god damn shop for nearly 2 hours, you've looked at every ring in here at least twice. I'm sure the lady hates us!" He gestured at the cashier, who was failing to keep her smirk off her face. Jimin frowned. He just wanted to get the perfect ring for Yoongi. Taehyung instantly regretted his harsh words, and he laid a hand on Jimin's shoulder, "sorry. But you have been here all day. I don't think Yoongi will care too much about what the ring looks like.
