Flashback..

Hehehe, Kai always had funny methods to make me laugh. He knew the right thing to say to make me smile.

We were on our way to Kai’s guest house in Busan for the weekend. It’s been a month since Kai and I started dating. Kai always came home and spent most of his time with me. In this whole month, I saw different faces of Kai.

His childish demeanor.

His sweet expression.

His face full of passion.

And, the most dangerous one,

His y smirk(?).

Whatever he did, it had its own passion and flavor to it. He never cared about what people said. He had this saying or quote in life which went like this: ‘Don’t care what people say or think about you, because they haven’t been through what you have been through.’ It was a pretty good quote, I had to admit.

I got to know many things about him: his likes, dislikes, and hobbies, among many other things. I found out that music and dance played an important role in his life. I have been to his apartment and found that he had a dance studio which occupied half of his place. Music was his soul and dance was his life. The funny part was, even when he showered, cooked and ate, he was always accompanied by music. He was high on life and I was getting addicted to him.

We were on the road, listening to music (What more did you expect?). When an upbeat song came on, he started jumping and dancing on his seat like a five year old in possession of candy. I was seriously wondering if he was really 20 years old. But I loved that childishness in him and I didn’t want him to change forever.

“Come on babe, sing with me! 

‘Hit me with your best shot,

why don’t you hit me with your best shot.

Hit me with your best shot.. Fire away…’ I couldn’t help but laugh at his behavior. 

The next song which played was Justin Timberlake’s 'Strawberry Bubble Gum’. Kai had a convertible so when the song started, the roof was down and he started singing to the whole world. He sang with all his heart, like his life depended on it.

‘If you be my strawberry bubble gum,

then I will be your blue berry lollipop,

and I will love you till I make it pop’

The way he said ‘pop’ was so funny that I bursted out laughing. He looked at me laughing and grinned at me. 

"So, will you be my strawberry bubble gum?”, he asked me so cutely that I couldn’t refuse at all. I simply nodded.

"Yes, I will be your strawberry bubble gum” I answered and smiled. The next thing he did was reckless: he left the steering wheel, got up on the seat, and started shouting like a mad man. 

“Woohoo!! Finally, she agreed to be my strawberry bubble gum!!!”

“Kai, you idiot! Sit down before we crash somewhere!” I panicked, yelling at the dork who was jumping on his seat. He sat down and I started hitting him on his biceps. 

“Ouch, you're so violent!"

“Serves you right for putting us in danger. We could've gotten into an accident!"

"Honey, I will always protect you from danger. I will lose my life for your safety and protection.” God, there he went again, sweet talking me.

"I hate you, Kai."

"Aww, my baby is mad.” I didn’t reply and stayed silent. 

"I'm sorry and I will drive properly hence forth. Okay?” 

“Hmm, that’s my Kai.” I ruffled his hair and pecked his cheek. He laughed at my gesture. 

"What are you doing to me, Sera? You're killing me with your smile.”

“Oh, then I will not smile hence forth,” I said, trying to look sad.

“No, I would rather die than not see you smile.”

“You know, Kai, I will have diabetes if you keep talking to me with sugar coated words.”

“Well, honey, you should get used to my sugary goodness,” he said, his lips. He gave me a teasing look and winked at me.

"You ert!” I started hitting him again.

“Hey, what did I do?” He looked all innocent and was blinking his eyes rapidly. I couldn’t help but smile at his antics. I swear he was going to be the death of me.
