THE BOLD FONTS ARE SONG LYRICS.

After that night, a lot of things changed. My perception about Luhan slowly started to change and I slowly let my guard down.   After his sincere words that night, I couldn’t help but to trust him a little. I tried to stop myself from letting my guard down but I couldn’t control it, especially when his words kept echoing through my mind.   The morning after that night was the first time I smiled at Luhan and greeted him. His face was photo worthy; it was like thunder struck him. He was gaped at me with wide eyes and his mouth hung open. I couldn’t help but to chuckle at his reaction.   Nonetheless, he greeted me and we ate our breakfast together. The atmosphere was silent and conversations were exchanged only through our eyes. His eyes reflected a slight glint of happiness and shock, while mine reflected guilt and a little sense of hope. Guilt because I treated an innocent person in the most pathetic way possible and hoped that I would gain his forgiveness.   You would probably ask me: How did I choose to believe in him and let my guard down without evidence that he didn’t kill Kai? Believe me, I didn’t but some part of me told me that the words he spoke in my room were the truth and I did believe what my heart told me.   The following days after that night were normal. As I let my guard down around him, I started to let him into my world. We made small conversations on the dining table any time we could and sometimes, we would converse if we were together in the living room.   I could tell that my small gestures made a great impact on him. He would grin whenever I replied to his questions or responded to his requests, big or small. Things were slowly becoming steady but I had not forgotten my mission. I had to find the truth about that day.

About me and him.

It was a nice day with a lovely weather outside. I was sitting in the living room, reading a random book.   Suddenly, the skies outside were turning grey with a tinge of darkness. The living room had large windows which opened to a small patio and overlooked the garden outside. As I looked up at the sky through the window, a smile crept to my face at the memory which flashed through my mind.

FLASHBACK

“Baby?”

“Hmm...”

“Baabbyyy.”

“Hmmm...”

“Baby girl?”

“What is it, Kai?”

“Finally, you're replying.”

“Hmmm...”

Kai frowned and looked up. He was lying on my lap and playing with my fingers. We were sitting in the living room, me reading my favorite novel while Kai’s head was on my lap as he played with my fingers.   It was a weekend and this time, we planned to stay inside rather than go out. We both had a very lazy morning. We were busy making love the whole night that we didn’t bother to wake up early in the morning. After having breakfast, well technically, brunch, we both lounged in the living room and decided to do nothing for the rest of the day. Kai was probably bored so he was playing and scrutinizing my nails, occasionally kissing them to get my attention but I didn’t budge from my book.

“You are ignoring me again. This is why I don’t like you reading. You don’t give me attention.” He whined with a pout similar to a cute kid's who was deprived of candy. I really wanted to kiss his pout.

“Kai, I'm reading and you know that I don’t like distractions when I'm reading.” I said, not sparing him a glance. He tilted his head upward and looked at me.

“So I'm a distraction now, huh?” He smirked slowly and lifted his head off my lap.

Uh-oh, wrong words, wrong timing.

“Yes, you are and a very annoying one at that, too.” I . He pouted even more and huffed. God, he looked cute. Slowly, he smirked again.

“Oh, baby, you don’t know how annoying I can get. I can get you to scream underneath me. You wanna try it?” He leaned in closer to me, his eyes were eating me alive.

“Kai, don’t.” I warned dangerously.

“Or what baby?” He challenged me in a teasing tone.

“KIM JONGIN, DON’T YOU DARE—!” I screamed when he tackled me, pinning me underneath him on the couch and starting to tickle me. I was always sensitive to his touch and I got tickled easily. He was tickling me until I ran out of breath and started screaming his name.

“See, I told you I can make you scream underneath me.”

“KIM JONGIN, I'M SO GONNA KILL YOU!” I pushed him off of me and he got up to run away. I chased him around our house and we played like that the whole afternoon.

After chasing Kai around the house, I finally caught him and started pinching his ears.

“Ouch, it hurts!” He whined while squirming under my hold.

“Serves you right, brat.” I huffed and poked out my tongue.

“What did you say? Come here, you little--” He lifted me up in bridal style and twirled me around. We both were chuckling and laughing. He then placed me down and wrapped his hands around my waist.

“I'm sorry, love.” He apologized and rested his forehead on mine.

“It’s okay, love.” I mimicked his tone and he gave a teasing look at me. He slowly crushed his plump lips on mine and we were both lost in the moment. We kissed until we couldn’t breathe but I was ready to have my last breath if it meant kissing him. We broke our kiss and stared into each other’s eyes. The two stars were twinkling at me. I could see my reflection in them.

There was a saying that if a person truly loved you, you could see your reflection in their eyes because their eyes reflected their love for you. Their eyes would not waver and would lock with yours, once and for all.

I had my answer by just looking in his. He loved me unconditionally and I didn’t doubt it for a second. He was my ray of sunshine.

END OF FLASHBACK

“Sera? Sera?”

I was woken out of my thoughts by a voice. It was Xiumin and he was looking at me.

“Oh, Xiumin, come in.” I said and placed my book down on my lap.

“Did I disturb you?” He asked as he eyed at me.

“No, I was just reminiscing the old memories...” I softly replied and looked back at him with a small smile.

“Was it about Mr. Kai?” At the mention of his name, I felt a tug in my heart. How things have changed so much in my life. Now, I could only live with him in my memories.

Xiuimn noticed the sad look on my face and how I didn't reply, saying, “I'm sorry, I shouldn’t have asked. Please forgive me, Sera.” He bowed.

“No, Xiumin, it’s alright. The truth always hurts. Come join me.” I replied and patted the seat next to me on the couch. He made his way over and sat at the corner of the couch, keeping a good distance between us.

“Can I ask you something, Sera?”

“Hmm. Anything...” I smiled and rested my chin on my palm.

“Can you tell me about Mr. Kim? I don’t know him, but I personally think he is a great guy. Can you tell me how he was?” He asked nervously, probably thinking that his question might have offended me. I smiled at him.

“Of course.” I agreed. He turned to me, looking a little excited.

“Kai and I met through an accident. I was driving my way through the city and while
