chapter 1
apocalypse IIIt was quiet. It was dark. But then he heard the sound of clinging of metals. He heard the sound of approaching footsteps. And later, he could even hear the scratching and growling sound not far from him.
Mir tried to open his eyes. He blinked and scrunched up his face at the blinding white light. The boy groaned. His head was pounding. Mir tried to reach his aching head but immediately realized, his hands were bounded.
Mir's eyes shot open. He tried to sat up from his lying position but failed. His whole body was strapped on the table. Cold metal table like the one used to put the deceased.
Mir struggled but he knew it was in vain. He looked around him. He was in a lab based on the test tubes, glass flasks, microscopes and some apparatus that released weird smoke on the tables not far from where he was bounded.
Mir twisted his neck so he could look from the above of his head. His eyes widened in alarming size. There, four walkers was trapped in a small glass room that stuck out in the lab like sore thumb.
Mir struggled but then he heard footsteps approaching him. "Oh... You're awake."
Mir looked up to the person who was looking down on him. His gut twisted at the sweet sickly smile on the girl's lips who was wearing a white labcoat. Mir's eyes trailed off to the girl's gloves covered hands. It was stained with blood. Rotten blood that smelled terribly horrible. Mir gagged.
"Oh? Sorry about the smell." The girl sweetly said and pulled off the gloves before dumping it into a yellow bin.
"Who are you?" Mir asked. He tried to remember how he got here. And yeah, he did. He was running away from a herd of walkers when he saw a dome shaped blue building. He just managed to jumped over the tall fence when suddenly his head was strucked and he fell unconscious.
The girl with the charcoal black coloured long hair leaned over Mir. "I'm the one who's going to stop this world from total destroyance." Her eye-smile was nothing but sweet. However, there was sickly glint in those wide beautiful eyes that he would never forget for his whole life.
