Chapter 6
Not So Different
The past two days past like a breeze, Buddy had been very sweet towards you. Waking up to a cute white
fluffball excited to see you was just pure bliss. However, the phrasing "happiness is short-lived" was true.
Currently, it was 4 in the afternoon, you were trying to bid Buddy goodbye trying to look unaffected, afraid that it might make Buddy reluctant to leave.
Buddy's hurt paw was fully healed in the span of the two days and you were so carried away with his company that the main reason he was in your house was slipped of your mind. You had learnt a lot about the canine, one of it was that he was from the forest right behind your small cottage.
"Go on, your family must be worried." You urged Buddy. No matter how much you wnt him to stay, you knew that it was impossible. He belonged in the wild, not in the small confined area you lived in. The sneak glances he tooked at the backdoor and the howling at night did not gone unnoticed to you, and you knew that he wanted to go back to where he belonged.
He looked at you with worried eyes, knowing how much you hated to be lonely. He was just too considerate for his own good. Gesturing for him to go you reassured him that you would be fine.
"You could come back to visit if you want, I will remember you." You told him, hoping not to sound too emotional. Buddy had already taken up a dominant place in your heart, making you smile much more than you had in the past year.
Before he could make another step towards you, a howl could be heard resounding from forest
