The Exiled Ice Princess
Woooooooh!!!! Yeeeaaahhh!!! JeKry JeKry JeKry JeKry JeKry!!! Jessshhhiikkkaaa
Krrryssshhttaalll....!!! Saaarraanngghhhaaeeyyyoo!!!
And the cheering of the fans went unstoppable. Jessica and Krystal debuted as a 2-membered group with their songs “Say Yes” and the
acoustic version of “Butterfly” topping several song charts. They are unstoppable. Their popularity rose to another whole new level.
The crowd went still and the cheering died down gradually when Jessica and Krystal were about to greet them at the stage where they are about to perform
their chart-topping songs. They waited anxiously as to what the sisters would say.
Heart beats went daegun daegun daegun filling the now chilly air, varying emotions intermingling aggressively.
Ending their speech together, Jessica and Krystal said in chorus: “Saranghaeyo”. They delivered their love to the fans with a wink and a heart
shaped by the connection of Jessica's left hand and Krystal’s right hand above their heads.
And just like that, another set of cheering from the crowd exploded. Much louder and definitely, much crazier.
Aaaaaahhhhhh..... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh..... ssssaaaarrraaanngghhhaaaeee...........
JeKry JeKry JeKry...........
The crowd seemed to love the duo more. A very sweet and genuine smile is plastered on JeKry’s beautiful faces.
They are also loving the crowd more.
After their soulful performance, several appearances on different shows followed for interviews and promotions. The entire day was quite tiring and so
they drove directly back to their JeKry apartment to eat dinner quietly and rest peacefully.
“Unnie, today is really tiring but I had a lot of fun. Thank you.” Krystal said sweetly and gratefully facing Jessica on the other end of the table after
finishing her plate.
“Omo omo, am I hearing you being like that right now? Haha” Jessica responded to Krystal while finishing her own plate.
“Ahh uuunnniieee!” Krystal retracted from her seat as if embarrassed while pouting cheekily.
“Yaaah, I’m just kidding. Hehe” patting Krystal’s head over the table. Jessica walked around and stood behind Krystal’s now straightened back.
“You don’t have to thank me, Soojung-ah.” she hugged her from behind and continued “as long as we’re together, I’ll make it a habit to make you happy.
Both on and off the camera.” Jessica whispered reassuringly.
Krystal stood up and hugged her back. “Thanks unnie. I love you.” Jessica decided to break the emotional atmosphere first and so she joked
“You’re making me cry again. What are you, a marshmallow? Making me all mushy.” with a chuckle. Krystal hugged her more, only hearing the
first sentence, dismissing Jessica’s yet again never successful and random joke. “I don’t want to make you cry, unnie. Not after crying like that before.
I won’t let you cry again.”
Krystal’s words wrapped like a warm piece of cloth around Jessica’s cold body, diffusing the warmness and the tenderness of Krystal’s love beneath
her skin She smiled bitterly for the sad memory she had imprinted on Krystal’s innocent mind. A tear fell and she wiped it stealthily, not wanting to let
Krystal know. Not after saying those heartwarming words. She was really grateful for having a little sister like her. And even more grateful on days like this.
Zing. A text message arrived. “Soojung-ah, you go sleep first. I know you’re really tired. I’ll follow right after this.” she said while fishing her iphone
out of her jean’s back pocket. “Ok unnie. Goodnight.” and kissed Jessica’s right cheek to bid a lovely goodbye through action.
When Krystal was already nowhere in sight, she opened the text message and read it with a little enthusiasm.
“I have an information and I believe that this is really important for you to know. I hope we can meet over coffee.”
She replied back:
“Is the information really that important? Can’t you just text it to me?”
The reply was really fast, the person on the other line must really be attentive...and excited to meet with her. Hah! She smirked at the thought.
“Yes it is, and I can’t just say it to you on a text message. More like I can’t express it to you on a text message. Please meet up with me.”
Jessica was tired and arguing would be too laborious for her right now, and so she finally agreed.
“Ok then, let’s meet up at the cafe near my apartment. One block away. The Green Coffee. I’ll wait.”
Another fast reply appeared on the screen:
“Thank you so much. I’m on my way.”
About 15 minutes later, Jessica and the other party stared eye to eye on each other. The spark on the other person’s eyes twinkled like the shining
stars above the chilly night sky. But those sparkles were not enough to pierce successfully right through the ice princess.
Jessica motioned her head for the girl to sit in front of her, facing each other. Jessica ordered the coffees that she knew both they liked.
Of course Jessica knew what the girl liked. They were inseparable way back on the olden days. Ahhh! The good old days. She thought.
Then dismissed it bitterly.
