Chapter 7
The Exiled Ice PrincessEyes wide. Mouth slightly open . Sooyoung’s plate left her hand as it traversed down to the floor. Taeyeon’s glass that was filled earlier by
champagne lay helpless in the carpeted floor. Everyone was truly shocked by her sudden and unwelcomed invasion. The ice princess indeed. Jessica.
They can’t seem to believe that there she is, in front of them. Jessica...is the lone glamorous figure standing in front of them. A quite sooner reunion than
what everyone had expected. A hasty and a very sudden reunion, indeed.

Taeyeon’s POV
Dressed in a very stylish manner, there she is. Ahh how good to see her again. I missed her. I looked around to see if anyone has already
recovered from the momentary shock. There, I saw Yuri with a not-so-obvious yet somehow recognizable tint of happiness.
I wonder if she was taken aback by Jessica’s sudden appearance.
“Unnie..” Seohyun’s breathless recognition led Jessica’s attention to her.
“Ahhh....our maknae never seemed to forget me.” Jessica clapped her hands twice as if to look like she was actually filled with sheer delight.
She rolled her eyes, then roamed the reactions of the rest. She locked her eyes with mine for a split second there. In that little amount of connection,
she have successfully delivered her feelings toward me. She despise me.
“Others seemed to forget me. I’m hurt.” She pouted and acted hurt. “Oh well, that’s not a problem. I’ll just introduce myself again.” Jessica cleared her
throat as if preparing to perform a serious song in front them. “Hi sisters! I’m Jessica. It is so lovely to see you all again.” she winked at Sunny
and Yoona. I wonder why. She waited for a response but all she got was a chorus blinks from the girls’ eyes. She added “Uhm, let me think.
We were together for like forever, practicing, performing and other stuff done by a group. Does it ring a bell? And oh by the way, I bet it’s the strongest
hint I can ever give you, all of you recently let me down.” with emphasis on the ‘down’. The earlier blinking eyes are now showing. Then are filled
with tears. Any second now threatening to fall down.
Ready to stand up and talk to her, I rose on my feet but not quite as fast as Yuri. Yuri hugged her. She missed her so badly which is quite
obvious when she wrapped her arms around Jessica’s slim body as tight as she could. Never wanting to detach from her ever again.
“Stop it.” Jessica’s cold response. She delivered it with a blank face, no twinkle in the eyes just like before when Yuri occasionally express her love
to her with a warm hug.
“No!” everyone’s eyes widened on Yuri. “Sica-ah, I never wanted to do that to you. I’m sorry for not fighting for you harder.”
her arms retracted from the embrace to reach Jessica’s hands.
But she waved it. “I said stop. No excuses since the damage has already been done.” she said cooly.
“Bu..bu..but! Sica-ah..” Yuri fell down on the floor. Crying full blast.
Jessica did not react from Yuri’s breakdown but continued her princess-like behavior. “Anyway, drama aside, I’m just here to congratulate
you Yoona......” dragging her words, enjoying our pitiful expressions “even though I was not even invited. Tss.. But I commend you guys for
keeping it from me. Though obviously was unsuccessful, still a good job, nonetheless. Haaaah” she yawned and stretched both her arms above her head.
“I’m bored now.” She turned her heels, aiming for the door where she entered stealthily earlier. Reaching for the knob, Jessica tilted her head quite
a bit and said sweetly “And girls, see you when I see you.” then winked. Slamming the door behind.

Zing. A text message arrived.
“You did good. Thanks for the info.”
A shameful smile is plastered on her face. No matter how shameful it is, the rewarding feeling brought by her compliment is dominating.
And she can live with that.
