Daehyun has always liked autumn.

It is such a subtle season, full of beauty and calmness. Whenever he looks out of the window, or walks along the roads, the orange and red and brown and yellow always leaves his heart at peace.

Autumn always tugs at his heart strings in many ways, always making him smile miraculously. The way leaves of different colours gently fall from the patterned trees, the way they scatter all across the roads, to him, it was breath-takingly beautiful. The crispy, crunchy sharp sounds that brittle leaves make as he steps on them makes him feel like a child all over again and he would hop around looking for more leaves to step on, all the while laughing excitedly.

Autumn is like a ballad, he thinks.

But these all are just minor reasons why he likes autumn so much. 

He likes autumn because it was when they first met, him and Youngjae. Unlike typical cheesy stories, they did not meet in spring or winter. It was autumn, when the leaves turned brown and a season for warm coffee in large mugs. Youngjae had been sitting under a tree, reading a book named "Captain Corelli and his mandolin" when Daehyun saw him.

The fluffy brown hair, enchanced with the warm yet dim sunlight; those beautiful eyes that had been fixated on the yellowish pages of the book; the lips that were red from the chilly weather and from his unconsci
