Red Velvet - 7월 7일 (One of these nights)

I don't know why i keep suggesting song/s at some (most) chapters lol But anyway, you're not required to listen to each of it. I'll just keep on doing it because i feel like it. They're not related to the plot unless otherwises is stated.

"Do you know how to ski?"

"Yes"

"How about me? I don't know how to" Granny pouted at the two who's ready to have fun

"I can teach you!" The both chorused

"It's fine. I'll go at the massaging spot over there"

But instead of skiing, the two decided to head for the skating rink since the line to uphill is very long.

"You don't like to skate?" Jessica asked Yoona who sat at the bleachers outside the rink

"I'll just watch you skate"

"Come on, It'll be fun!"

"I want to see you have fun. You used to skate, right?"

"It won't be fun if I'll skate on my own" Jessica answered that caused Yoona to bit her lower lip "Wait, you don't know how to skate?"

"Uhm ... only a little" Yoona voiced out shyly. She even looked down.

"Ohhh! I'm sorry. But i can teach you"

"You're not going to laugh?"

"For what?"

"I don't know how to skate"

"Silly! "I don't know how, teach me" or "Can you teach me?" Are the one i'm expecting you to say. But instead, "You're not going to laugh?" is what i got?"

"Because i don't know how to so it's kinda funny ..."

"You're really funny" Jessica giggled "There. I laughed already. Can we skate now?"

"I already told you that i don't know how to"

"And i already told you too that I can teach you" Jessica was persistent to the point Yoona found no way to escape.

 

"When you stand like a log, It'll give you higher chance of falling than leaning to the front." Was the first advice Jessica gave to Yoona who's holding the railing while the other is holding her. "It'll be better if you'll let go of the railing and just hold my hand. I promise i won't let go"

Yoona followed Jessica's commands and held on to the girl tightly

"Left right left right. The skate shoes is heavier than our usual shoes but feel like you're only wearing the usual ones and you'll get the hang of it"

 

"Aren't you annoyed? We've been like this for about half an hour now"

"Aren't you tired of complaining? You've been like that about half an hour now"

"I do not!"

"Just look at you. You're like the 7 year old kid who i taught before" Jessica tsk-ed calmly

"Your student ... did she learn?"

"She's even competing internationally as a figure skater"

"Tell me you're kidding."

"Go and research about her. Sophia Kim"

"O.M.G. So your fee must be in 6 digit?"

"What's with the sudden interest to know about my fee? Are you afraid that i'm going to charge you?"

"No. You insist about teaching me"

"And that's why, be less of a complainer. Don't scrape the ice or i'll smudge them to your face"

"Do you scare your students like that?"

"Focus on the way, and not on me" Jessica whined "I don't scare my students since we're being professional"

"And now you aren't"

"I'll let go" She added that causes Yoona to encircle her arms around Jessica's neck. They were facing so close to each other "What the ... My students don't usually turn clingy like this"

"You said you won't let go"

"Yes. Because i usually let my students be more confident rather than teaching them when they already know how"

"What do you mean?"

"You learned already. See? I'm a cool teacher like that"

"I'll fall" Yoona stood still while Jessica drifted a little away from her

"Straight when you go forward, make an triangle if you want to brake. And don't forget to lean forward a little" Yoona was hesitant but decided to go forward when Jessica outreached her hand

"O! M! G!!! I DID IT!! I DID ITTTT!!!" She held Jessica's hand for support while her free hand fist pumped in the air

"Seems like i'm not a bad teacher"

 "You actually taught me!"

"Now, let's practice. Fetch me" Jessica answered pulling her hand from Yoona's hold and skating away.

 

"Granny!" Yoona waved excitedly to the elder lady who sat at the bleachers outside the rink

"Hi" She waved back

"Jessica taught me how to skate!" She bragged proudly. Soon Jessica headed towards them

"Your granddaughter seems to be more of a nagger, is she?"

"Did she complain a lot?"

"A LOT"

"Heyyy! Aren't you over-acting?"

"I can imagine that"

"Granny! I didn't, okay?"

"Accept it for yourself that you really are whiny and full of complaints" Granny answered back

"Spot on"

"Heol. "

"Let's go and eat?"

"We'll just change" Jessica answered spedding off already while Yoona whispered a 'She's good and really taught me well' to Granny before following

 

"What do you want to eat?"

"It's fine. What do you think granny would like?"

"Come on, this is my only way of expressing my gratitude"

"I know you're thankful. You've told me countless time already."

"Hot -- Wait no. Remove that from the choices. Kebab, Coffee, Burger, or anything they're selling. Just choose. Even one would do"

"Why did you remove the hotdog?"

"Cause someone already made you taste it"

"AH! Yuri?"

"Err.. yeah"

"And?"

"Fine. You want a hot dog?"

"Actually, nope."

"What do you want then?"

"Whatever you want me to have. Just make sure that its not something hot or spicy"

"Hmm .. picky. Go buy granny a hotdog while i go buy something for you. Are you fond of sweets?"

"Totally!"

"Head back when you finish. It's a surprise"

"That better not be something hot or spicy or else i won't accompany you to ski later"

"Who's the nagger now?"

 

Jessica and Granny waited for Yoona to comeback to their table.

"Did she get lost?"

"She said she'll buy something for me"

"Maybe she's waiting for you where you two separated ways?"

"No. She told me to head back here already."

"Do you usually talk about me when i'm not around?"

"Oh you're here. What took you so long?

"Here" She handed Jessica an ice cream sandwich, It was the only thing she found that is sweet and not spicy and hot.

"What's this?"

"Ice cream sandwich?"

"So Jessica-ish. Did you to get closer now?"

"What do you mean?"

"So it's only a coincidence." Granny nodded while Jessica took a bite while hiding the smile she has on her face "When I first met her, I already know what she likes and what she doesn't"

Yoona pouted at the two before taking a fries on their table "But, it's really a first that you're eating something i gave you"

"She's picky like that. But once you know it, she'll always accept whatever you give her"

"Tell me?"

"It's a secret~ It'll be better if you find that one for yourself"

"This is really yummy." She gave a thumbs up that didn't fail for the taller girl to beam

"Where did you buy this and how much?"

"That's, a secret.

The three ate up their pre-dinner meal before heading back to their hotel room. They decided to play indoor games since it was too hot that granny knew a type that could cause sickness.

 

"Do you know this game?" Granny asked the two showing a 'connect 4'

"Connect 4?"

"Yep! How about you yoongie?"
