Youngjae’s POV

This is it! I’m currently in front of “The Razzle-Dazzle’s” office, readying myself for an interview.

“Youngjae?!” A familiar voice called from behind.

“Oh! Sunhwa-Sunbae, hi!” I greeted.

“What are you still doing here?” Sunbae asked. “Aren’t you going in?” she added.

“I want to … But I’m still nervous.” I explained.

“Oh~ you don’t have to … we don’t bite … I know you can do it!” She said, encouraging me. “Let’s go?!”

“O…K… Y-Yeah … Yeah! Let’s go!” I accepted half-heartedly from the start.

 As we get in, the smell of paper I grow to love greeted us both. My attention suddenly went to the person sitting at the table farthest from the door, his table has a nameplate saying: Bang Yongguk – Editor in Chief. I scanned the whole place, realizing that all of the tables actually have their respective nameplate.

After remembering Sunhwa-sunbae’s words regarding the cute-issue, my attention went back to Yongguk-sunbaenim and I realize what Sunhwa-sunbae actually meant by not just nerd.

“Hey! Gukkie~ an applicant is here for an interview.” Sunhwa-sunbae said to the person seated at the farthest table cutting my trail of thoughts.

“Ohh! Yeah! Please do come over here” The guy said pointing at the chair in front of his table.

Wow! What a very manly voice…

“You’re Yoo Youngjae?! Right?!” Yongguk-sunbae inquired after I seated.

“Yeah Sunbae” I answered.

“Let’s see … Good grades, honor student, no violations … well you’re actually one of the best candidates I have this year. It will be nice working with you, but I still need to test you though.” He said while scanning the papers on his hands.

Wow! He really did research about me, as expected from a person on this field. I mean, I know it’s in my resume that I have a good grades and an honor student but how does he knows about the other matter.

 “I won’t fail that test … I promise!” I replied.

“A very determined and positive person as well … just what I needed.” He said smiling at me. “Very well … I give you a task which must be submitted 3 months from now … If you made it in time, I’ll accept you … and if the paper you submitted is good, I might consider including it at the next issue of Razzle-Dazzle … Copied?” He asked me.

“Copied … I won’t fail you … I can do it!” I said, positive that I can do it.

“I have so much faith in you kid … I know you won’t fail me.” He said which touched me a lot. “But the task is quite difficult … will you still accept?” He asked.

“I don’t care …. I accept it.” I said without thinking of the word difficult.

“Your task will be … to interview Mr. Jung Daehyun, the captain of both basketball and soccer team … Just so you know he’s quite the type of person who doesn’t want to be disturbed especially by the like of us.” He informed. “And all of my members actually gives up on interviewing him, he’s really hard-headed … Will you accept? Or do you want me to change the task.” He added.

“No … I can do it … I won’t fail you … My dream is stronger than his hard head.” I said proudly, not even recognizing the name mentioned, too overwhelmed that Yongguk-Sunbae trusted me so much.

“Ok … very well said … Then I should welcome you in advance then.” He said extending his hands for me. “And I don’t want to hold you back any longer, you can go now.” He added

“Thank You! Thank you so much Yongguk-sunbae … Sunhwa-sunbae.” I said to both of them. “I need to go now … my little brother is waiting for me at the school gate. Bye!” I bid them goodbye. 

As I open the door, someone from the other side was also holding the door knob trying to open it as well. A very pretty man greeted me immediately.

“Hi! An applicant?” He asked “I’m Kim Himchan, the Editorial Cartoonist … nice meeting you!” he introduce himself.

“Hi! I’m Yoo Youngjae, a sophomore and an applicant.” I introduce myself as well.

“Don’t keep him too long Himchan, his brother is waiting for him” Sunhwa-sunbae interrupted.

“Oh~ is that so? … Very well … Then I think I should be settled for a ‘Nice Meeting You’ for now then.” Himchan said while smiling at me.

“It’s nice meeting you as well Himchan-sunbaenim … I-I have to go now … Bye! Thank You!” I bid them all goodbye once again.

No One’s POV

At the School gate

“What took you so long?” Zelo said grumpily “I’m already hungry!!!”

“Sorry! Sorry! Let your hyung treat you as a sign of his apology, ok?” Youngjae apologize while pinching Zelo’s right cheek.

“You better!” Zelo said cutely.

“Awww… Why is my brother so cute?” Youngjae teased.

“Reeeeaaaaallyyyy???” Zelo replied sarcastically. “… which reminds me, why is my sister so pretty?” he retorted.

“Cut it out!!!” Youngjae retorted while glaring at Zelo. “I’m just telling the truth, ok?” he added.

“I’m also --”

“I said cut it out!” Youngjae cut him off.

“Geezzz… you’re too sensitive when that topic is brought up.” Zelo said. “Well, I’m sorry … you started it … Sorry again” he apologize.

“I know … I’m sorry too …Come on …we need to go now … before I change my mind” Youngjae warned.

“Yes Sir!” Zelo agreed cheerfully.
