A F T E R    F I  V  E   Y E A R S

It was already 7 in the evening when I checked the clock. I heaved a sigh and leaned my body on my chair. It is already passed of working hours and I should have been home since 5 but here I am, working my off out of these paperworks scattered on my desk. It’s not that I have to do an overtime and get a raise, it’s just that I feel working all night… to release my stress and stuffs in life. And the truth is… I don’t even want to go home.

I looked back at the file of reports in front of me and they were as if telling me to finish them all tonight. I sighed as I stretched my arms and started to pile the papers all together, putting them aside as I stocked them neatly. I picked the first folder on top to continue my work with that little voice at the back of my head telling I won’t go home until I’m not finish with them all. But it seems that my mind is wandering somewhere and I can’t even let myself flip the first page. I unconsciously made a pout with my forehead wrinkling as I draw myself in thought.

What is it I am forgetting?

There is really something I am forgetting tonight and I just can’t pinpoint what. I leaned back as I tapped the pen on my desk, making that tiny tapping noise- breaking the silence inside my office.

I fished it out of my purse and looked at the screen, showing “Sunny Calling…” I was confused for a moment and just swiftly swiped
