My jaw drops to the ground. "What?"

"Yes, and I'm just so happy to finally meet you!" he says softly. He steps forward and takes my hands in his.

"Wait, so you mean to say... That you are my father?" I ask, cautiously taking a step back, pulling my hands away from his.

"Yes."

"And who are they?" I point to Heechul and the other two.

"They are your older brothers," my 'Father' says.

I put my hands in my pockets and ball my hands into fists to keep from shaking.

"Is... Is this all true?"

"Yes," Heechul says. "I'm your eldest brother, Heechul. This is Junsu, your second eldest brother, and this is Seoljun, your third eldest brother."

Junsu, the taller one, and Seoljun, the shorter one, bow as Heechul introduces them.

"We're very happy to have finally met you," Seoljun says, his eyes warm.

"Yes, we've always wanted to meet you, but we've always been so caught up in our work that we never got the chance." Junsu says. "By the way, how is Mother?"

So, that all makes sense now! Why I only could remember my mother when Heechul gave me those soft looks.

"Mom... She's..."

Wait, why am I answering them? I feel furious. No way would I want to answer that question. They don't deserve to know.

Unfortunately, my fury comes in the form of tears, not anger.

"Clover-ah, I'm sorry! Please don't cry!" Junsu says, alarmed.

"Yah!" Heechul smacks Junsu on the arm, causing him to wince. "I told you not to ask sensitive questions!"

"Yeah, hyung!" Seoljun adds. "She's a girl! You don't ask that kind of stuff."

Aww, Seoljun thinks he's cute by saying that.

I want to slap him.

"Yah, and Seoljun-ah!" Heechul scolds, "You don't say that kind of stuff!"

"Sorry, hyung," Junsu and Seoljun bow apologetically.

"How could you do this to her?" I manage to ask, looking at all three of my 'brothers'. "Why did you leave? Do you have any clue at all about how hard life has been? Our mother - wait, no, my mother - has been struggling ever since I was born! Don't you know that?" I ask, tears streaming down my face.
