First Day

Change

Bomi's POV

First day of school. I was feeling extremely nervous as my close friends all went to different schools from me. As I was looking at my phone to avoid awkwardness with anyone, I did not see that someone was running in my direction and crashed into me. Both the person and I frantically apologised to each other until our eyes met.

"You're Eunji, right? Jung Eunji?" I asked, trying to confirm my thoughts.

"Yeah. Bomi? Yoon Bomi who acts like a gorilla?" She responded. I blushed slightly from embarrassment as I recalled what she was referring to. Just what was I thinking to do such a thing to ruin my image?

"Yah Eunji, don't ever mention that again. Hey, you entered this school too? What class are you from?" That was when we realised we were both from the same class. Excitedly, I held her hand and we went to the classroom together. I was feeling really glad to have met Eunji. It felt great to meet my childhood bestfriend whom I lost contact with. On top of that, I was worried that I would not be able to make friends. With Eunji around, making other friends would be less of a problem too.

Eunji's POV

It seemed like I was going to be late on the very first day of school, so I ran the moment I stepped out of the car. Being the clumsy me as usual, I crashed into someone.

"Sorry sorry I'm so sor-" I looked up and saw a familiar girl. I was trying to confirm my suspicion when the girl asked if I was Eunji. I was almost totally sure that she was Bomi, so I brought up the fact that she acted like a gorilla before. Her cheeks turned mildly red when I mentioned that, I guess it was pretty embarrassing to think of. With her red cheeks, I thought she looked rather cute.

"Yah Eunji, don't ever mention that again. Hey, you entered this school too? What class are you from?" She asked.

"1B," I responded plainly, to which she started jumping like a small kid.

"Yay Eunji same class same class!" Taking my hand, she held it and we went up to class together. There was a strange feeling as she held my hand, which I dismissed as the strange familiarity I felt. After all, we did know each other previously after all.

No One's POV

The teacher stepped into the class not long after Bomi and Eunji did. She started off by taking attendance first.

...

"Jung Eunji!" "Here!"

"Yoon Bomi!" "Here!"

...

"Park Chorong!" There was no verbal response. A girl sitting at the corner of the class quietly raised her hand. Upon hearing the name, Bomi and Eunji looked at each other, then glanced towards the girl. She was looking back at them, but did not seem to notice anything, which made them doubt their suspicion. However, after looking at the girl's features a little longer, they were positive that the girl was their other childhood bestfriend.

During recess, Bomi and Eunji approached Chorong, hoping for a trio reunion. It did not happen though, as Chorong just plugged in her earpiece and walk out of the classroom, leaving both of them wondering, Does she not recognise us? The both of them decided to try again during lunch break. Bomi said, "Chorong-ah, do you remember us? I'm Bomi and she's Eunji. Same kindergarten childcare centre, remember?"

This time, Chorong did the same thing too, making Bomi and Eunji extremely confused.

Chorong's POV

I walked into the classroom and settled with the seat in the corner. The extreme dread I had was no joke. I hate having to adjust, I enjoyed my life in middle school. Would everyone just leave me alone here too?

The teacher walked in and started taking attendance. I heard the teacher report the names "Jung Eunji" and "Yoon Bomi". Were they who I thought they are? When she called my name, I raised my hand hoping to attract no attention. I spotted two girls, who responded to the names "Jung Eunji" and "Yoon Bomi" looking at me. So it was them after all. I looked away, pretending like I did not notice them.

During recess and lunch break, they came to my table. Bomi tried to introduce themselves, but I plugged in my earpiece and left. It feels so much better to be in my own world. Since it was the first day of school, I used the break time to explore the school, hoping to find a secluded place, one that I can label as 'mine'.

***

I returned to the classroom and found a post-it note on my table. It read, "Chorong-ah, do you really not remember us? We're from the same kindergarten childcare centre like I said, and we were best friends. I'm the gorilla you love to call 'Yoon-rilla', brings back memories huh? Even if you don't remember it's okay, just talk to us and we can build our friendship again alright! - Bomi" I found myself having a smile subconsciously. Those were great memories indeed, I guess. Giving a look to Bomi, I proceeded to place the note into my file. It was nice to be in the same class as my two childhood bestfriends, but now I just wish that they would leave me alone.

A/N: A new general storyline got into my head, so I thought why not try and slowly develop it! I will update both my stories here and then, hope you all will enjoy the fics! (: Do comment ^^

Chapter 31: feels and memories and emotions uwaahh T.T can you believe I commented here so long ago when this was still being written? I'm gonna say that every time I see my name hehe, it's so cool and also just wow how time has flown~ like, this was before Luv era? I was here before Luv era?! I forget it myself haha but enough about me, I'll speak on this story.

It was indeed the sweet and dramatic rollercoaster in the best fanfic way possible! haha it just has the tropes I grew up with and written in a nice way; all in the one fic but nothing's out of place. I especially want to highlight how well some conflicts are resolved, like the minor ones that could've caused argument between Chorong and Bomi in the days the parents opposed them. It stood out to me a lot, how much I love that they know each other so well to the point of knowing what they would do - that Chorong punched the wall and also pleaded without dignity. (Bomi being stern and patting her on the head was adorable hehe.) If something's wrong, even if they didn't tell each other immediately or wanted to hide it, the truth came out not long later - like when Bomi was stuck in her house without a phone. Then suddenly Chorong appeared for another reason so that was solved unexpectedly, but you have no idea I was so relieved! Omg and the text messages that led to punching the wall, that part solved quickly and so relieving for me. hahahaha I like that it's unexpected in those ways. through their warmth and tears, thank you for writing this one <3 I've enjoyed it well again ^^

Chapter 4: At least you could write that Eunji likes Naeun, not Bomi, so that neither of them is set aside... and 2Eun is also so good that we'd all love that
Maybe you do that on the next chapters but I haven't got there yet
