Min Ho had come out to the pool to enjoy the early morning quiet.   His life had been so hectic lately so he tried to find some quiet when he could.  He enjoyed that little sliver of peace in the morning when everyone was still in bed.

He spotted a little figure sitting at one of the tables.  He knew instantly that it was  Shin Hye.

She was hunched over writing on a sheet of paper.  She would look off into the distance. Then back to paper and started writing. Suddenly her whole body shook like she was convulsing, her head shaking.  He started walking faster towards her.  But then suddenly, she stopped and laid her head down on the table.

"What are you doing?  Writing a love letter to your boyfriend?"  He said when he saw that she was all right.  She had her pencil in her hand, tapping and twirling, lost in thought.

Shin Hye jumped in surprise.  Her head jerked in the direction of the voice.  She hadn't expected anyone up at this hour.  They all stayed up pretty late last night.

It was Min Ho. Love letter?

"How old do you think I am?"  She asked him.  He talked to her like a 16 year old.  Treated her like one too. It was annoying.

"You're 20."  She made him dizzy with the way she switched gears.

"No.  I mean how old do YOU THINK I am?"  She asked again emphasizing the you think.

Min Ho was confused.  Maybe it had to do with what she was writing.  Maybe she's not a morning person. Maybe he should have minded his own business.

"I'm sorry.  That was incredibly rude."  She sighed.  She had immediately regretted her question as soon as it came out.  "You startled me that's all."

She looked down at her paper again curling her lips at it.

"No.  I'm not writing a letter to my boyfriend.  I don't have one."  She had a crush on someone, but he only treated her like a friend.  The story of her life.

"I'm doing homework."  She turned back to what she was working on.  She was here in paradise and she was doing homework.  How pathetic are you Shin Hye?

He watched her lay head down and started to pout and moan and stamp her feet.  It was like a little girl throwing a quiet temper tantrum. It was actually cute.

He started to turn away again. She didn't seem to want his company.

"How good are you at math?"  She asked him.  She saw him turn away and for some reason, she didn't want him to leave.  She didn't feel like being alone.
