His eyes instantly moved over to the third floor of C block, fixing themselves on the person standing on the top most floor. It had rained that day and it was quite chilly he figured, as he tugged his sweater closer to him, still standing on the balcony of his room on the first floor of J block. He liked standing there, it was oddly peaceful watching people walk by even if they didn’t interact with him or him with them. But that was the usual life of Jung Taekwoon.

But there she was, standing on the third floor of C block with the cold breeze running through her bizarrely curly hair with fading blue ends, her eyes turning into like crescents as she smiled at nobody in particular. The ginormous blue sweater nearly camouflaged her hair, but she didn’t seem to care much as she held her notebook close to her chest and swung her colourful backpack over her shoulder.

He didn’t even know why his eyes were glued to her in such a manner, but he never knew why it always shifted to her every time he spotted her coming down those stairs, or simply sitting on the slab of stone on the topmost floor, or even when she fluttered around campus somewhere in her own world.

His gaze was broken as a bright smile and wave was directed at him as she bounced down the stairs, her eyes still fixed on him and her smile not fading even if he didn’t respond. He raised his hand towards her and her grin widened.

Kim Minah was a strange child he decided.
