Yongguk remembers the year he turned rebellious because of the objections coming from the family about his passion for music. He only stopped when they came to an agreement. They probably didn’t think that he’d really become the top student. But Yongguk’s passion for his dreams is a burning fire that cannot be ignited. That flame only pushed him further.
Now he is sitting before his desk, hands on his Macbook, trying to work out the next piece of lyrics he’s been thinking about for days. Time seems like a standstill as he gets lost in his composition until a disturbance shatters his bubble of concentration.
Two pairs of eyes exchange intense stares, neither pair of dark orbs moving away from each other. Yongguk’s eyes twitch as the cat’s dark pupils stay transfixed on his own, looking haughtily comfortable under his piercing glare.
Now Yongguk has to cease work because a certain feline has decided to come and settle down on top of his hands, lying across his keyboard, poised in all its laziness as it stares right back at him as if it did nothing wrong.
Yongguk feels the throbbing of a vein in his forehead and finally flips when the pool of fur stretches and yawns on the back of his hands. He throws both hands up in the air, flipping the feline off his Macbook. The cat in dark maroon fur lets out a shriek as it lands safely on its four paws, fur bristling as it snarls at its owner who sweeps it off his desk easily with just one hand. The cat lets out a disgruntled meow that erects goosebumps on its owner’s arms. Yongguk never liked angry cats.
“Go away and find some other things to play with.”
The cat only meows angrily once again, standing beside the desk, looking like it isn’t going to leave any time soon. Yongguk glances at the dark coloured feline for a moment before returning to his work, ignoring his cat which is obviously upset by the lack of attention.
