Paint Job
The Illusion of Cinderella
“Are you sure about this, Yesung?”
I nodded, ignoring the pain on my left side. The pain had lessened over days, but it was still there. I’ve gotten used to it though.
Heechul grunted as he carried the ladder. “There better be an elevator in this place.”
We reached the door when it was opened. “You guys are right on time,” Stephanie said. “She just went down the stairs. You’ll have two hours, maybe three.”
“Awesome. Let’s get started.” I unrolled a scroll of my designs. “Come on, Heechul. Help me draw the designs, and then we’ll both paint.”
Heechul shook his head at Stephanie as I grabbed the ladder. “You might want to step back. When he starts on his projects, he really goes all in.”
I ignored that comment.
After two and half hours, I let my hand drop, as my eyes took in the walls. A smile lit up my face.
Heechul stepped down from the ladder. “Well?” He managed to only get a few paint streaks on his smock. What a perfectionist.
“Exactly what I dreamed of.” I reached over to shake his hand. “See you in Korea in a few weeks hyung.”
