Ode to the Flower

The Illusion of Cinderella

“It’s a beautiful night tonight.” Yesung was looking at the sky, swinging his legs slightly as he sat with Angie on a bench.

“It is. It’s like the night we first met.” Angie looked at him, smiling. “I’ve always wondered…”

“Wondered what?” Yesung asked when Angie didn’t continue, turning to her. I hope she doesn’t ask…

“I’ve always wondered what you thought of me. Or what you think of me right now.”

“Like my first impression from you?”

“Exactly.”

“I’ve thought of you as… a flower. One that had blossomed while no one was looking. Some people don’t look at you because they’re only looking at the flowers that first bloomed. Some people immediately find you charming, and come over for your unique scent. That’s your friends.” He smiled at her.

“And Ethan?” She looked up with questioning eyes. “What do you think of him as?”

He shrugged. “I haven’t met him, so I can’t really make an accurate judgement. But perhaps…”

“Perhaps what?”

“Right now I think of him as a weed. One that gets jealous of your brightness and wants to suffocate it out.”

“That’s pretty accurate.” Angie started playing with her fingers.

Yesung looked over with a quizzical look. “There’s something on your mind.”

She sighed. “I saw him this evening.”

“Ethan?”

“Yeah.” She curled and uncurled her fingers, then looked up and smiled. “Hey, can you come over tomorrow? I need some help studying.”

“Sure. Four o’clock okay?”

“Perfect.” Angie checked her watch. “Ahh, got to go. I promised Stephanie I would help her ”

Only then when she got up did both of them realize that Yesung’s arm had gone around her. They looked at each other, then Angie smiled.

“See you tomorrow,” she said, as she walked off.

-Yesung’s POV-

I touched my arm. Did I really put an arm around her? I’m a nervous wreck.

I sighed and put down my hands. If only I could tell her what I really thought of her, not just the first time. I took out my notebook.

“To the blossoms of my heart, you’re not just a flower…”

I looked up to see my arm in goosebumps, even though it wasn’t chilly at all.

-Angie’s POV-

My shoulder tingled all the way home. Did he really embrace? Maybe I was enjoying it too much to notice. I sighed. Why did I have this cold feeling in my heart?

Chapter 22: Ohmygod. Oh if I had a tablet or something I would make you a nice poster, the reason I won't right now is because I love this story and it doesn't deserve a crappy ms paint poster :p

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the first idea just so accent yesung's personality....it'd also awesome if you have him go off in random crazy tangents in between chapters as well

i liked the ending for this...and i'm going to go with they ended up together and have a long distance relationship!! or at least a super awesome friendship!! lol! i dont wanna believe after all that they don't keep in touch at all. ;)
don't normally read suju/oc, but this sounded interesting and it ended better than i thought. i usually end up hating the oc characters in a lot of stories, cause they are too fake or perfect, cause "real ppl" are not like that, but Angie was just like one of us.
ur author notes at the end of the chapters were great too. all the spazzing. haha!!
