Emma sighed for the hundredth time as they walked back to the house, thinking about how she was going to break the news to the others. Having Kris bond to her meant that the other 11 probably would too! Was she even ready for this? She’d have to deal with 12 hormonal men for the rest of her life. What was going to happen to her feelings for Luke? Should she forget him? Not that he had seen her as anything more than a sister. Should she give Kris a chance? Was this what Aphrodite meant? She remembered vividly her encounter with Aphrodite when she was younger; Aphrodite had told Emma that she would grow to be a young girl that many would love. Many men had taken liking on Emma, but she had never taken notice of it. Or rather, she had never bothered to take notice about it. Aphrodite had wanted to spice up her love life. Was this how she did so, by giving Emma 12 mates and a crush to handle?  Was this one of her games that she would play with the one that she has blessed?

“Emma? Are you alright?” Kris asked worriedly. His brows creased, disapproving of Emma over thinking things. After he had imprinted to her, he felt the need to love her and protect her. The want to kiss her and shower her with his love even more than before, but he understood that she needed time. Time to accept and time to comprehend all that was happening right now. Everything was happening so fast, they had met less than a day ago and now he had imprinted on her.  

“Yeah... haha... If you don’t mind Kris, could you give me some time to accept things?” Emma asked, biting her lips and lowering her head. She would be lying if she didn’t feel a special connection towards the male. He made her feel safe and loved, just like Luke could. Did she have a crush on two males? What about Lay? He could make her heart do somersaults. It’d be wrong and abnormal for one to like more than one guy. Kris nodded, understanding what she meant.

“I think we should head back now. It’s almost noon.” Kris mumbled as he led her back into the house. Emma sighed; He probably felt rejected by her and was feeling really sad. Emma caught his hand and gave it a light squeeze.

“Please give me some time... I’m willing to try to love you...”Emma mumbled as she rose to peck him on the cheek. Kris felt his heart soar above the clouds. (No pun intended) Those words were enough to assure him.
