15 years old Luhan stared in fascination at the small boy sitting on his father’s lap. The hair was colored in light brown like any other foreigner, yet the eyes were dark, just like black coal. The boy stared back at him innocently, with pouty pink plump lips slightly opened in adorable way. 

“What is his name, hyung?” he turned at the boy’s mother, one of his brother cousins who lived in America, and happened to visit Xi Family for Lunar New Year Holiday.

“Bang Jun Hyun.”

The mother said, “But we all called him Jun.”

“What a cute name,” Luhan giggled as he returned to face the little boy. “Nice to meet you, Junnie.” He said, giving his hand to greet the boy properly.

In hesitation, the little one took a peek at his mother as if asking if it’s okay to greet this stranger. When his mother nodded and even encouraging him with some familiar gesture, his mind became clear. He got up from the oldman’s lap and gave both his hands to Luhan, squealing in baby language while giving Luhan a light hug.

When the small boy was near, the warmth and the nice scent of the baby pressed a button in Luhan. It awakened a strange feeling, made his breath suffocated with the preciousness of this being and his stomach twisted uncomfortably. It’s like this boy was made from sweets and cloud and any fluffy thing stuffed into soft and flawless skin. Every gaze looked so pure, every words came out sounded like a heavenly song. It made his heart ache, half in jealousy cause he wanted to have someone like this as his, half in fear cause he didn’t know if he could be a great mother.

“Ah, so cute.” Luhan slowly take the boy into his arms, holding him close to his chest and grinning from ear to ear, “can you spell my name, Junnie? It’s Lu! I’m Uncle Lu.”

“Wait,”

His father poked Luhan in the forehead gently, “that’s wrong Luhan. You’re his Aunt, not Uncle.” The man said while chuckling lightly.

“But, father!” Luhan pouted. “I’m a boy, how could I be the Aunt!”

“Aunt Lu!” the little boy shouted in gibberish voice, making Lu’s father laughed out loud and Luhan mourned lowly,

“That’s not cute, lil Jun!” he whined, “Say it correctly, ok? I’m Uncle Lu.”

“Lu!”

“Not only Lu!”

“Pabo!”

“Who taught him that?!” Luhan immediately shouted at the boy’s mother.

“Pabo Lu!”

“Hey!”

Well, despite the lack of manner (probably Jun inherited it from his bratty Dad), the time he saw into the boy’s face he can’t stop wondering what will happen if he was blessed to mother a child with the man he loved.

This is a dream.

He stood in front of square mirror, face was damp with fresh water and breath came out as pant from his gaping mouth. His heart raced wildly it brought his fingers to grabbed the front of the cotton sheet wrapped around his body tighter, while his head tucked down at the small object laid in the middle of white fabricated basin, “Kai…” he whispered his husband name while reaching it, “Kai.” his voice gradually raised until he shouted loudly, “Kai, Kai, please come here!”

He heard the rustling sound from bed followed by a bump probably from his sleepy husband hitting the bathroom door, until Kai appeared, leaning his tall and built body to the wall while muttering a low grunt of, “what’s happen?”

Luhan gulped. He remembered again the reason why he struggled from his husband arms and rushed to bathroom with the nearest sheet he could grab, “I think…” he felt his stomach pulsating in ache after throwing up mostly everything stuffed in him, for his dinner, “I think I’m pregnant.” He mewled the words out, a trembling hand reached for the used test pack to show his husband the red plus sign and said it again in a mourn, “I’m pregnant…”

 “What?” Kai stood up straight in a sudden awakening. The man immediately looked at the test pack closely, then at Luhan.

“Oh, Kai… what…” Luhan stared back at him with teary eyes, “what should I do?” he asked in a low whine, “I’m gonna be a mother…” his voice trailed and soon turned into sobs.

Kai who was still too fascinated with the fact that they will have baby and he will be a father, need a moment before he tucked Luhan into his chest. When the cry got louder, the man carried his fragile wife back to their bedroom and then sat on the bed, Luhan was clinging to him, “It’s okay, don’t cry.”

“But…!” Luhan sobbed even louder, “but I can’t change diapers, I can’t make baby food, I can’t hold a newborn.” He sniffled, “the only I’m capable of was making them cry then runaway, huwaaaa, I’m doomed!” he screamed in agony, making kai felt so complicated. At a side, this hopeless mother really tickled the wrong button in his body with such sinful innocence, but then he reminded himself this is not the time for unleashing his dirty fantasy over a certain cutie pie, yet. This is one of precious moments in their marriage life, where their young and reckless love finally found its reason to exist in this world.

“What are you afraid of?”

He smiled while touching Luhan’s jaw, bringing the beautiful face to meet up with his and wiped away the useless tears cause this is the time to celebrate, not to regret and cry.

 Kai saw the boy hugged himself again, clenching the crumpled sheet in his stomach tightly, “what if I can’t be a good mother?” Luhan whined hoarsely.

 “Of course you can.”

Kai chuckled as his lips found the wet ones. Without doubt he kissed Luhan, “you have husband.” his bigger hand found the lithe ones, and with that he rubbed the wedding ring on Luhan’s finger, “we’re married, remember? You don’t have to be afraid with raising the baby. I’m here and will always be with you.”

Hearing his words, Luhan’s mind slowly turned clear. With a soft sorry escaping his lips, the frown on his beautiful face washed away by a content smile, and soon a squeal can be heard, “you’re right, Kai.” he giggled happily as he hugged  Kai neck and let the man caressed his back gently, “Kyaaa! What should I do?! I’ll be a real mother!”

Kai laughed too, while still showering him with kisses, “you’ll be the cutest mother ever, Lu.” He murmured into Luhan’s side head.

“Then.” Luhan loosened his hug so they could see each other in the eyes, “Kai, from now on you’ll be Appa and I’ll be Umma.” Just by imagining how their future will turn to be more colorful with their upcoming baby, Luhan squealed again and hugged Kai again, “Kyaaah, our baby must be so cute! I can’t waittttttttt!”

“Yes, yes.” Kai shifted so now they lay together on bed, snuggling close to each other, “I can’t wait too, sweety.” He smiled at the ceiling, giving a big thank for the One who never stop giving him happiness. He was such a lucky man, for Luhan to stop by and decide to share their lives together.

He closed his eyes, “let’s go to doctor, tomorrow.”

“Okay!” Luhan nodded, “Ah, I’m so happy, I can’t sleep!”

Kai laughed at hearing that, “then one more round?” he joked and laughed again as he got pinched by Luhan on his bare chest, “fine, then. Let’s talk.”

And so they spend the rest of the night with small talks, sharing their thoughts and re-planned their future plans until they lost count of it and drifted into a peaceful sleep.
