A/N: Kyungsoo is like nosy old-lady XD

*

Guess who’s coming in the morning? Yep, it’s Kyungsoo again, bringing homemade breakfast for Kai and Luhan. The boy opened the door and carefully peeked in as if expected to get ushered again, but Luhan welcomed Kyungsoo and apologized for his rudeness last night.

“Uh that’s fine.” Kyungsoo sighed in relief, “It’s inappropriate of me to come at such ungodly hour, so I’m sorry.”

“Well, then let’s forget it.” Hugging Ruka to his chest, Luhan sat together with the boy at the long couch, “I believed you made the most delicious raisin pudding last night so what do you bring us this morning?”

“Umm…” Kyungsoo rummaged into the plastic bag and began revealing a set of meals, “this is Donburi, with homemade sauce and soy ketchup, a bit spicy and sour to open your appetite.” Luhan giggled in shame, couldn’t believe he was watering at such simple delight, “Pumpkin pie, for your energy and fried chicken for Kai, since we all know he worshipped KFC bucket like God.”

“Yeah, I’ve never been meeting a grown up guy who cuddled up with his chicken leg before.” Luhan giggled in return. He was still exhausted and wary after giving birth and spending the whole night watching his son’s sleeping face. He still couldn’t believe someone so delicate and so…alive… just born from him, bearing some of his and some of Kai’s signs. He had a son, he wanted to shout it out loud every time Ruka shifted and sighed, he had a son, he wanted to cry it out the first time he was given Ruka and feed the little guy in his arm. Oh, he did cry, thanks to his husband who stayed there and wrapped him into warm hug and whispering love into his ear, over and again.

“So…”

A while later, when Kai went home to change and leaving Luhan with Kyungsoo, the doe eyed brunette glanced at the mother with curious glance, “I was bugged with something but I am afraid it’ll be nosy to ask.”

“I already know you’re nosy, so just ask.” Luhan chuckled as he nibbled on his pumpkin pie.

“I wonder…” Soo hummed, “Are you going to be full time housewife?” When Luhan gave the older brunette a curious look, Kyungsoo immediately added, “I know you are a student and Kai must insist you to continue your study. But I think it’ll be hard to be a mother slash wife slash student.”

“What is your point?” Luhan asked back, speculations began bubbling in his mind, even worse, he had bad thought from this conversation.

“I told you it’s a nosy question.” Kyungsoo replied, “I’m just thinking whether you drop out from university or having anyone to take care of Lil Ruka when you’re away.” A small, distant smile drew on brunette face, “Crap, it must sound weird to care, coming from me?”

“No no no.” Despite Luhan couldn’t be agree that it was weird for Kyungsoo to ‘care’ it was also endearing to know this boy had such concern for him, “I don’t mind. I’ve been discussing about this matter with Kai before and we agreed to put Ruka under Seok Jin’s care –he’s one of my cousin, remember?- if I’m going for full day course. Other days I can bring Ruka to college dorm, where the boys could pamper him.” Luhan laughed when he said it, half because suddenly Kyungsoo expression turned into adorable pout.

“Who’s this Seok Jin?” The brunette asked. “Is he a caretaker? Pediatrics? A mother?”

“Oh right. You’re not going to baby shower.”

“I’m not invited.”

“Please, just get over it.” Luhan sighed at hearing bitter sarcasm from the boy. It just happen that time Baekki thought informing Kyungsoo was a bother. “I don’t even know there’s a baby shower in the first place. By the way, Jin is the only ‘mother’ around my brothers –except me-, I mean, I trusted Channie the most but he wasn’t my assigned big bro anymore and he got a company to run so there’s no way I could bother him with babysitting Ruka. Other cousins –including Sehun- were all disqualified.”

“What about your mother?”

Luhan startled, a harsh retort almost slip out of him for Kyungsoo to stop minding his business but it wasn’t the older boy fault entirely if he had wrecked past to the point mentioning about his mother triggered his wraith.

Sensing that he couldn’t find any answer, Kyungsoo cursed lowly and then apology, “I’m sorry. But I told you it’s a nosy-…”

“And I told you I understand.” He said with finality. “It’s fine. Everything had been planned and Jin already agreed to help us taking care Ruka.” He smiled softly, in hope to clear the cold tension swirled all around them, “thank you for your concern anyway. I appreciate it.”

Kyungsoo decided to smile along and encouraged Luhan to eat more, while began chatting about his journey to the Paris in search for hot romance. Luhan was glad the older dropped the topic completely though his heart ached every time he glanced at the closed door into his room, wondering if his mother would come to visit or not. He shuddered a bit thinking of his mother presence here would ruin the best day he ever had in his life.

“Day six: try not to fall asleep when feeding your son, or you will not be able measure the gag reflex vs baby's greed…” Luhan muttered darkly at his reflection, watched this ty creature who was standing right in front of him. Eyes hazy and droopy from lack of sleep -if he was still excited couple days ago and refused to sleep because he was ‘too busy’ watching Ruka face now he totally regret it- and cheeks became pale and hollow like a zombie.

He didn’t have idea newborn baby drunk so much, no matter how many foods he stuffed into his throat, all changed into milk and made his elsewhere malnourished. Key said it was normal as long as he still had appetite as big as mountain. His husband also concerned with his health, though Luhan sure it was more about the due date of five weeks ban from , rather than anything else.

“I need time up.” He inhaled a deep breath and blew it harshly, just when he heard low cries from bedroom. On his way back, Luhan snatched a bowl of fruit salad he prepared to chew as snack, then he nibbled on them while feeding his son. Nope, Ruka wasn’t hungry and still sobbing even after a few , staring at Luhan with this teary gaze as if scolding him as the worst mother ever to not understand his actual need.

Luhan silently sobbed.

Even after he realized Ruka just pooped and in need to change for diaper, he’s still frowning from fatigue and bad thoughts, wishing for someone to help or at least be here when his husband had to catch up with work.

“So this is why mother hate me…” He didn’t mean to say it, but it was the closest thing he knew about parenting, and to find himself thinking that way hurt him even more because there’s no fault in Ruka for his current condition. What a beautiful, pure being and he couldn’t imagine someone could hate Ruka, or babies in general. True they cried and whined, but don’t we all like that when we are helpless and in need for help?

“I will never hate you, my love.” He brushed Ruka chubby cheek and a small squeal became the little one’s answer, enough to ease the fatigue and stop his tears, “I promise you’ll only be loved by your mother and your father. I will not let any harm come to you…” as he said it, a small smile decorated his face and suddenly anything else isn’t important anymore. All he wanted to do was sitting here, watching as his son slowly drifted again into a peaceful slumber.

“So what happened today?”

Luhan never thought before his husband was a cook so great it put shame for his amateur skill. He was glad Kai never brought the subject or doing worse, insulted his cooking. During his ninth months when moving hurt his joints and cold weather turned him lazy, Kai began taking the cooking role in the house, assuring him –who was almost close to tears again- that there’s nothing wrong with husband cooking for family, especially when the wife doing everything already to bear with their child.

Actually Luhan winced because whatever Kai made tasted so divine, he wished only to eat those for the rest of his life.

“Ruka pooped three times already, and I think we need to stock more fruits. I ate salad like cow…” Luhan chuckled as he nurtured Ruka on the dining table while watching Kai made simple dinner for both of them. “I asked Key hyung if it’s okay and he said newborn usually pooped five until seven times a day.”

“Wow.” Kai chuckled and Luhan laughed along in agreement.

They had dinner in front of TV, with Ruka snuggled into Kai’s arm and Luhan eagerly feed his husband and himself while talking about Ruka, either it was reminiscing about pregnancy time, or foreseeing what would happen tomorrow. Sure they hoped only the best for this little family, although when Kai joked about planning second child, Luhan pouted childishly.

“Easy for you to say, Appa, you’re not the one who gets knocked up.”

Kai laughed as the man leaned close to peck the pouty pink lips, “But you don’t regret it, right? Having a son with me?”

Luhan was taken aback yet immediately pretended to look disgusted as if Kai was just falsely accused him, “Appa how… You are the worst!” and despite his protest Kai only laughed louder, like beautiful sound beating along with his thumped heart. “I’m the luckiest guy in the world, you know, to have YOU as husband and to mother Ruka, OUR child. I’ll be damned if I regret that!”

Kai laugh faltered into a gentler expression as the man kissed him again, “I know you don’t, my love. Please don’t get angry. I’m just teasing you.”

“I know.” Luhan sighed, “I just pretended to be naïve. I know it will turn you on, naivety and stupidity.”

Hearing this made Kai groaned into his skin, “Now you mention it…” said the man breathlessly, “it has been a week…”

“And four week more…” Luhan added with small smirk, happy to find weak spot of his husband as Kai began attacking him with desperate kisses all around his face and neck, “but I’ll give you hand or head, if that’s enough for you now.”

“Luhan.” Kai cupped his jaw, “even by looking at you it’s enough to set my heart at ease.”

Luhan heart started to swell again, ready for another attack of fluffiness from his husband, but then Kai continued firmly with, “but I’ll take the head.”

He squealed.

Ah, what a perfect life.
