“Ewww…!”

Luhan stopped his green beans flavored lollypop, as he heard his red haired friend, Minnie, winced at his choice of candy. He glared at the boy with all his might, while returning to his candy cause he already explain to his gang before, he had weird craving over ‘green’ and he can't help it.

“Lay, is that really a candy?” Minnie asked the orange haired boy who was feasting over orange-choco sundae, “I don’t even know the brand had that kind of flavor.”

“Why don’t you get the melon flavored instead? It’s also green.” the last of the gang, a black haired pretty boy named Suho offered Luhan another lolly, but Luhan shrugged and keep on his current. He wanted to cry himself, why he could only satisfy his hunger over something weird. It’s not only food, but it also changed his personality and turned him into someone else. Last time, for example, in the middle of night he suddenly had an urge to his husband belly button. He said sorry for numerous times for this embarrassing request but Kai did have cute belly button it really worth-…

Luhan gulped.

No, no, he shouldn’t get turn on just from memory of his husband perfect abs cause his face will be so red and his s started aching and then he will get itchy all over his body, inside and outside. And he didn’t want to look like a kitty today, especially not when he had to meet Kai’s friend too.

 “Hey, Lu, is that them?”

Luhan immediately look out to the window, when a Blue SUV parked in front of the café and he gulped again, now even nervous cause it’s really his husband, along with three men in their casual working shirt and pants. He breathed out a ‘yes’ and suddenly, as the men made their way into the shop, everything around Luhan became chaos. Table cleared from any parfait and ice creams and everyone busy checking each other appearance cause, even though boys had different fashion with girls, they still share the same colorful vibes in clothing and make up.

 “Crap, they’re here.”

Suho snatched the neglected candy grasped in Luhan’s hand and whispered a shy announcement as the men found their seat. Kai showered Luhan with such a bright smile the mother was sure it could make anyone blind this moment.

“Hmm, the one with the dark blue shirt is cute.” A sly comment came from Lay made Luhan startled and immediately fueled with irritation.

“That’s my husband, Lay.”

“I know.” Lay gave him a playful look, “I understand why he’s yours now.”

“Why?” the rest of boys unconsciously asked Lay, but then the men started filling the empty row across them, leave for Kai who greeted Luhan first by a chaste kiss before the man moved a chair next to Luhan at the end of their table.

“My name is Lay.”

Because Luhan and Kai was occupied to each other right now, Lay think it’s the best to introduce his own self just so the awkwardness in between them disappeared. His bold act sure surprised the men (even his own friends) cause his nature looked so quiet and obedience, but then the tallest among the men smiled gently at him and gave him a hand, “hi, my name is Shim Changmin. Is ‘Lay’ your only name or is it an alias?”

Lay winked at Changmin, “guess you had to work it out, Sir, to know my real name.” He said cutely.

Luhan could see Suho paled, and Minnie made a scrunched face in reaction to Lay’s gesture. But they didn’t have time to adjust with this new ‘Lay’ cause another men with flaming red hair laughed, “Whoa, this is sure interesting.” The man snickered at the boys, and somehow Luhan found Suho get even paler. He couldn’t blame that poor boy cause this guy had scary eyes and wicked smile, like a predator. Glad he had Kai to protect him and loved him and made his life perfect, already.

“Meet my friends.” Kai took the charge to introduce them to each other, “this is Shim Changmin, as you already know.” He said to the previous gentlemen who waved everyone a simple ‘hello’. Lay wanted to blow a kiss to Changmin but Minnie smacked the weirdo in the head. “Then,” Kai referred to the red haired beastly man who sat in the middle of row, “this is Kim Jonghyun.” And when Kai sensed the nervousness from the boys, the brunette added, “don’t worry with his grumpy face, actually he was very cute, like a puppy.”

“Hey, I’m not.” Jonghyun warned Kai.

“And the last,” Kai gave a look to the man who sat across Minnie, a black haired man with small eyes and foxy smirk, who didn’t say a thing and only smiled at everyone, “He’s Kim Jongdae, a.k.a Chen, although I’m still wondering why everyone called him like that.”

“Hi.” Chen greeted the boys, “actually I’m here just to fill in the blank,” as he said it, Luhan and Kai exchanged gaze, sensing the problem from this man. Yesterday, Luhan already make sure Kai knew Minnie was just dumped by his boyfriend for a damn girl, so the men who came here, hopefully not a bastard or an or someone close to that criteria. Yet, Chen continued by, “I don’t actually have interest with underage boys and I love s better than .”

Kai sighed, “Chen, I remember I told you-…”

“Then go away.” Problem started when Minnie stood up, “Don’t waste your time here, Sir.”

“Minnie, calm down.” Suho whispered warily.

“Yeah, Minnie,” Chen chuckled darkly at the red haired boy, “Why did you get so worked up? I’m just telling it first, so there won’t be hard feeling or misunderstanding later, kay?”

Minnie winced at the way Chen called his name and everyone watched how the boy turned from fuming to blushing in embarrassment. Hastily, the boy slumped back on his chair and pouted to the view outside the window, if everyone didn’t get warned at how serious the problem Minnie had, they all agreed the sulking was very adorable to see.

“Yeah, so Chen already says his motives,” Jonghyun stared at the boys, “personally I was here just to see Mrs.Kim and to prove his beauty.” And with that Jonghyun smirked nastily at Luhan, “and I would say, I don’t mind turn into e for you.”

“Hey.” Kai returned the warn to Jonghyun, “my wife is off the limit.”

“What? But it’s a blind date, right? Everyone can make move to everyone.”

“Excuse me.” Jonghyun startled when the smallest boy sitting in the middle called for him, “Except for Lay, we’ve already reach age 18 so we could legally smoke or drink or get married. We’re not underage anymore.” and just like a walking Law Book, Suho explained to now gaping Jonghyun about age and restriction like it was really matter here. Even Minnie forgot his awful mood and snickered at seeing Jonghyun dumbfounded expression.

“He’s sure very smart, this cute friend.” Changmin said to Kai and Luhan.

“Oh, I should introduce you guys too,” Luhan realized, “well, this is Lay, he’s very good at surprising people…” he tapped Lay’s shoulder who sat near him, “Suho, he’s always had a thing or two to explain,” Suho stopped talking and frowned, all back became nervous as he bowed his head in a stiff greet to the men, “and Minnie, that one who always in bad mood.”

Minnie gave Luhan a mehrong.

“Don’t get him wrong, Minnie was a very good kid.” Lay shook his head in defeat, “He’s just love his bad boyfriend too much.”

“Stop talking about me!” Minnie smacked Lay in the head again, “and I don’t date him anymore!”

“Hey, hey, both of you, cut it out.” Suho sighed in between them, “don’t get cranky around me, it’s so tiring...”

“Not really.” Suho gaze turned at Chen who smiled contently at seeing them, and somehow it looked so creepy, “It’s very fun to see you guys, are you all in the same major?”

“No, but we’re all enrolled in the same University.” among all the conversation they had today, it probably the most normal question EVER asked and Suho gladly tell the men about their majors in college, “Lay went to Music Department, despite  his weirdness I tell you, he’s a music-genius. Luhan and I went to Art School and Minnie, he took the Bussiness Major, because his boyfriend was there, but then-…”

“Enough.” Minnie pinched Suho on the cheek, “I told you I’m gonna change my major this fall.”

“Why Minnie?” Chen chuckled lightly at the always brooding Minnie, “if you’re not doing it wrong why you had to run from him? He’s the one being a jerk, right?”

Everyone expected to see Minnie exploded again but then the red haired only scoffed with, “Shut up, oldman. You don’t understand a thing about me.”

“Then, how about you make me?”

There’s a strange atmosphere going on in the corner seats, which made everyone tried hard not to ask if Chen statement from before was just a joke, or really the truth. Even Luhan whispered at Kai in worry, what if Chen teased Minnie too much and in result Minnie hated men even more. If that happened, Minnie won’t get married and Minnie’s parents won’t get any grandchildren.

Kai rubbed Luhan’s back gently, again promising Luhan about the boys’ safety tonight, “Except you, Umma, I can’t grant yours.” He said with a heavy sigh, and taken under hormonal change made Luhan frowned in fear.

“Why? What will happen to me?” Luhan gulped.

“Oh, if you can’t stop being so cute,” The mother’s heart started marched wildly when he sensed the darkness in his husband tone as Kai rubbed a thumb to his puffy cheek, “I’m afraid we won’t make it home tonight.”

Luhan wanted to strangle his now chuckling husband to near death, but instead he pouted and whined cause he did felt hot in anticipation for the ‘danger’ awaited for him, “appa when will you stop making a mess of me? You’re so annoying!” he asked in complain like a bratty boy he was, even though he’s very happy cause Kai was still embraced him and pampered him with love he couldn’t yet believe he deserved.

“I won’t.” Kai squeezed him into a tight hug and laughed when he pinched the toned abs playfully. The man loosened the arms around him and looked at him with pride and joy sparkling from the dark brown eyes. The man almost said something else but apparently Chen took interest in their moment and decided it’s a right time to ask,

“Oh, btw, how did you guys meet?”

Sadly, it made whatever Kai wanted to say swallowed back to the man’s throat, so with a disappointment, Luhan leaned his head into Kai’s neck. He didn’t have intention to answer Chen’s question and prefer to wonder what kind of cheesy words will be spoken to him. It must be nonsense but the said nonsense kept him strong and made him believed he was important. He was special. He’s not just ordinary Luhan who was too fragile and too childish to bear Xi name.

Well, he’s Kim Luhan now and he’s very proud to have Kai as his husband and the father for their awaiting baby.

“Luhan, may I have a word?”

Later that evening, when they decided it’s the time to go home, Lay called Luhan to talk in private. Luhan took a glance at Kai, asking a silent permission and Kai caressed his black hair gently as the man got up to pay their bill at the cashier. Luhan followed Lay to the rest room, wondering what kind of talk is this but he had a feeling Lay will scold him for only God knows why.

“Your mother called me.”

It’s not what Luhan expected, but it did pour him with cold sweat and fear, “and?” he asked Lay dryly, half expecting Lay back to be so flirty and weird instead being sober and sane, “did she said I should come back?”

“No, Luhan.” Lay stared at him with worry, “she asked where you lived, and I told her I don’t know, cause I do forget your address, but she kept bugging me to find out your whereabouts, that's why I thought you might be want to know.” Over hearing Lay’s words made his heart felt stung. Of course, no matter how stubborn both Luhan and his mother to each other, she’s still the one who gave birth to him and she had all the right to know everything about him.

“Thanks Lay.” Luhan smiled, a bit hollowly so Lay asked if he was okay to hear that, “I’m fine. I’ll be expecting her visit soon, maybe.”

In fact, Luhan was afraid. It’s okay if it’s just him got to hear the insults and degrading words from her. He used to be the punching bag when everything didn’t went good for her. But if she met Kai, and she did the same to Kai, Luhan didn’t want to imagine what will happen. Luhan could never cut his bonds with his mother but just like Chanyeol said, his marriage could be ended, legally or not, and he’s not ready to lose Kai, not when this happiness kept coming into his life in the form of the man he loved and the child growing inside his womb.

“What’s happen to you?”

There was just his husband waiting him outside the shop while everyone else already left. He didn’t cry when he walked out from the shop door, yet his tears fall when he saw Kai’s face and he sobbed even more, cause Kai immediately caught him and asked him warily. He could feel Lay watched his back but even Kai asked Lay what’s happen, the boy refused to tell and just waved them a good bye.

“Hey, Luhan?” Kai called him, “What I tell you about crying in public?”

Luhan shook his head and buried his head into Kai’s chest even deeper, didn’t care if people said he was weak or childish or it’ll make his child became crybaby too, he only wanted to cry just so the weight he had to keep in his heart lightened or even better, disappeared. But of course, it was unfair if he didn’t say anything in explanation.

“Appa, do you want to know everything about me?” Luhan sniffled as the mother looked up. He already dodged the question once and now he had a feeling he did it wrong to keep his husband in the dark. Kai should knew the truth so they could think it together how to save their marriage from the early end. “I’ll tell you, ok? but please promise me you won’t get angry, cause I’m being this selfish because I love you and I don’t want to lose you.”
