In the Name of Love

Like a Diamond

“So, we’ll be going on honeymoon this weekend…”

Kai chuckled, seeing the priceless reaction from stunning Luhan who gaped in shock over the sudden news he brought home. He cleared his throat and then attacked Luhan again with more shocking explanation, “I already rent a place near the beach…” He was sure Luhan was too frozen to hear whatever he said now, but he eagerly talked about his plan on ravishing his wife like ‘newlywed’ did, until Luhan finally snapped at him while hugging the swollen belly.

“Appa you’re the worst father ever!” Luhan whined in rage, “how could-… how could you want US to have honeymoon in front of our BABY?!?!”

Kai couldn’t stand it anymore. He laughed, which only pour more oil into the flame. “Come on, Umma, it’ll be fun. You can think of it as our family trip, though, if you’re uneasy to call it honeymoon. It has no difference to me, I’m still gonna screw you, anyway.”

“But I’m already seven months pregnant.” Luhan cried mournfully, “it’s too late to have a honeymoon. What if-…” the mother took a seat and then sobbed. It sobered Kai a little from the exhilarating fun he got from playing around with his wife’s delicate heart. He approached Luhan and kneeled in front of his wife’s chair, caressing and kissing their unborn child, before he leaned up to peck the mother’s lips.

“Umma…” He kept pressing his lips on Luhan’s trembling ones, “don’t cry.”

“You’re really the worst.” Luhan answered grudgingly. “I told you I don’t need honeymoon.”

“And you’ll get the most memorable honeymoon ever even though you don’t need it.” Kai smiled lovingly at the promise he made to his wife, “because your husband here thinks that you deserved to be showered and worshipped and loved from your head-to-toe.”

Luhan blushed. The grief eventually stopped, changed with a scowl which looked too cute that Kai attacked Luhan again with butterfly kisses around the angelic face. It created a perfect picture of love, as the twilight created a long trail of shadow on the darkened floor, adding a story to be witnessed by the star and the moon outside tall glass sliding doors.

"In the name of love, I shall never stop claiming your heart as mine, just like you never stop craving my heart as yours."

There’s a rain of snow the night before, so when Kai and Luhan arrived at the beach town, the land covered in white, making the mother gasped at the sacred cruelty of icing weather versus the intoxicating warmth from the man who cuddled him in the back seat of the taxi. He remembered again why they’re here, miles away from home. They’re having honeymoon, in the middle of harsh winter, in the middle of his third trimester pregnancy.

Luhan took a deep breath, so he didn’t have to shout out and curse towards Kai. The man was so selfish and so pushy, but that’s nothing new, and that’s because Kai treasured him like crazy, so he could only swallow all complaint and let it be.

“What are we going to do here?”

As they arrived at their rented house, Luhan stood by tall window and stare at the borderless gray sea as he muttered to himself. Memories of his marriage life flashed before his eyes and even though there’s some amount of sadness which clenched his heart, the happiness hit him with more violence, ripped his poor heart and filled the hollowness with Kai’s exclamation of endless love, only for him.

“What do you mean?” Taller figure appeared behind him and Luhan bit his bottom lips to hold joy from bursting out into sheepish giggle cause he would never get tired at the way Kai held him. It’s like having swallowed into the sun. Kai was always warm and musky scented, as the man gently yet firmly wrapped him inside the cage of strong arms and in the same time kissing his sideburn tenderly, just to let him know this is the man who married to him, this is his husband who embraced him. “Of course we’ll have fun here. There are places to wonder, delicious food to taste, and club where we’ll sway…”

Luhan giggled at such dreamy offer. “Or we can stay here all day, cuddling…” he suggested.

“Oh, baby…” it has been awhile since Kai called him ‘baby’ he couldn’t stop furious red to cover his face. It’s just a silly pet name, for the God sakes! “You can be so naughty when you wanted.” the man laughed airily, and Luhan refused to acknowledge such beautiful laugh, so he gritted his teeth and hissed,

“I mean it in fluffy way, Appa!”

Kai laughed harder, but the man also hugged him tighter so that he gave up rejecting all the glorious love surrounded him and let his irritation melted away as he twisted his head and looked up.

“Remember the first time we kissed?” He asked softly, with eyes now piercing to his husband’s darker orbs, “is it possible if I want us to pretend as newlywed again?”

Kai caressed his face, “if that was your wish, my beloved.”

“Won’t our baby judge us as parents?”

His fear ended as another amused chuckle on Kai lips, “Luhan…” his face blushed more –as if he’s not red enough- when Kai trailed kisses around his face with his name coming as hopeless groan. “My Luhan…”

“You sounded so creepy right now.”

“I don’t care.” Kai sighed in defeat. “Call me anything you want, I’ll still love you and you’re still mine.”

It’s unusual to see Kai became stubborn. Almost happen three times as far as Luhan recalled. The first time was a sudden proposal under heavy rain and the second time was when Kai defended their marriage in front of his evil mother. Now Kai looked as if the man needed nothing aside holding him and personally Luhan thought it’s very unfair that Kai gave him too much love and in return, Luhan could only be grudging about it. So he took a deep breath and crept his hand around Kai back, brushing the muscled skin in calming gesture.

“I love you too, Kai…” he decided to forget their status as parents for a while, so when his husband loosened their hug to cup his face and filled him with a deep kiss, his very first love making popped in his mind, the surge of pleasure he never taste as teenager and the affection in their afterglow which bringing content smile in his awakening.

He was worried before, what if his body served less than Kai’s expectation. Or, what if Kai thought marrying him was a mistake. He even feared the love making scarred his body as well as the responsibility to be a wife freaked his childish mind. But then, as he found himself cocooned inside his husband arm, he realized it’s useless to keep the bad thought. There are moments in his life which was too painful that he wished to die, however, Kai set him free and what’s better than giving his love and trust as thankful gift to the man?

“I’m a lovesick fool…” Luhan whispered on Kai lips, “even if I died and reborn, I’ll love you, over and again…”

“Don’t say anything about death, Luhan.” Kai pecked him and Luhan giggled at how frustrating it sounded, “Our life just began.” He mouthed apology and rewarded by more kisses, and more seductive caresses mapped his body by the bigger and rougher hands. He chanted Kai name, at every fabric of clothes being stripped from him. He shuddered in bliss, at the pressure from the exposed skin. He was . Kai was . But nothing could stop him from arching his back and moaned breathlessly as the wall, the glass window and the furniture witnessed their love making.

“God…” Luhan mewled at the ing pain. The whole life he was familiar with every kind of pain, the stung from hard slaps and smacks, also the stung from harsh words and curses. But the pain from penetration was something alien for him. It was strange and it’s unfair because pain shouldn’t feel this good. “God… there…” His face flustered in between shame and joy cause he was craving desperately for more. He even cried for his husband to go faster and explore deeper, until he was blinded and seen white.

“Hey…”

He startled when Kai started kissing him lazily. Then he realized the stir of movement of their baby inside his belly and he looked down with a smile. Kai thought he was looking at their mess in between their legs so while placing an apologetic kiss to his stomach, the man got up from the floor to get something to clean up. As he watched the delicious back view of Kai, Luhan took a shirt to cover him from the ness. “Oh my god, I’m such a .” He didn’t mean to say it, but he did like ones in video. He watched one in Sehun’s phone, when the man wasn’t around.

“Here,” Luhan was glad Kai didn’t hear him, or the man will give him 50 reasons why he shouldn’t degrade himself as . He loved the sweet words and the respect and the devotion. It became their afterglow talk at the beginning days of their marriage, or when Luhan faced trouble and became so helpless and insecure. But that doesn’t mean Luhan stubbornly couldn’t do anything without Kai. He saw how Kai struggled to make their life as the best and since he can’t support their little family financially, he decided to grow like a tough adult, just like Kai.

“Can you stand?” Kai offered him a hand and while he enjoyed being pampered after , Luhan can’t stop himself either to sound out his sarcasm.

“Do you seriously want second round, Appa? Like, right now?”

“Come on, don’t tempt me.” Kai laughed as the man helped him to stand, “or you’ll face the consequence.”

Luhan giggled, “oh, punishment game!”

“Shhh…” Kai placed his hand on each side of his swollen belly, “don’t say anything like that, Aya will hear you.”

“Who's Aya?” Luhan blinked and Kai pointed down at their unborn baby, “wait, so you already named our baby? Without knowing if it’s his or her? And more importantly, without discussing with me?”

“Well, it’s just a name suggestion.” Kai brushed the sweet spot on his back neck to calm him, “rather than calling ‘it’. In fact, it’s a very cute name.” Luhan couldn’t stop a smile from twisting his frown at how mischievous Kai looked right now, “you know I’m weak with cute thing.”

.

“Aya is very mainstream name.” But Luhan won’t just get defeated. When they finished cleaned up and walked to traditional saffron to taste specialty of this town for lunch, the mother looked up at his husband and whispered, “What about Irene? It’s also very cute name.”

“It’s too girly.” Kai chuckled, “if the baby was a boy, he’ll kick you in agony right now. Aya is a good uni name. It’s also very simple, like mine. I’ll stick with Aya Kim, right, little one?” it’s a bit pissing when Kai ran a hand on Luhan’s belly, the baby responded it by kicking excitedly. “See, Aya loves the name.”

“But Aya didn’t sound right.” After they settled at their table and placed their order, Luhan scooted to Kai and stared at his husband stubbornly, “what about Taeyoung?”

“Too manly.”

“Then, Taeoh?”

“Who’s this Tae- we talked about? Isn’t the baby name shall after the father’s name?”

Luhan furrowed his eyebrows, thinking hard, “then…” he cleared his throat, “how about we named him/her Kim Ruka? It has nice flow, and it contains both our names.” as he explained, the worry slowly faded from his face, in exchange of joyous squeal, “so he/she knew we’re the parents and we became parents because we loved each other.”

Kai said nothing, and Luhan hoped the man won’t argue. It’s the best name he could find so far and the only name he would accept.

“Why Ruka?” Kai finally asked.

Luhan sighed, “because Karu was the bird pet of Princess Vivi in One Piece and I won’t name our child by animal character.”

Kai gave him puzzled look, but when Luhan thought they will argue more about the child’s name, Kai suddenly placed a hand on his stomach while whispering gently towards their unborn child, “Kim Ruka then, little one. You’ll be our Ruka from now on.”

The baby kicked again and Kai laughed proudly.

Luhan closed his eyes so Kai wouldn’t see his glassy eyes at the overwhelming connection in between the father and the child. He placed his hand on the top of Kai as they drowned in a moment of peace as a little family.

“Shouldn’t we check on his/her gender?” Kai broke the silent a while later.

“No.” Luhan smiled at the belly, “let Ruka surprised us.”
