 “Yi Xing, I’m gonna get married.”

Luhan stared at the shocked expression of his best friend, the one he shared room with at this university dorm, and the one who knew him too well that it was impossible for him to do something so spontaneous and ultimately absurd like getting married.

However, no matter how many times he said it out loud, there’s no doubt in his voice. There’s no hesitation in his mind. He wanted it, although the reason why he had to marry and why with a stranger, still left as a mystery for him. Maybe, even the man had a grumpy face, the smile was so honest and beautiful, or when the man hugged him into the broad chest, the hands captured him at the right places, at the right moment and all he felt was loved, needed, and he was wanted as an important piece of a life time.

He grasped the soft fabric in his palms, the pinkish white Hanbok which was being given to him from his Korean Aunt at his 18^th birthday. Tomorrow, he will use this and going to meet with his groom.

Tomorrow, he will be a wife.

“So, what do you want for breakfast?”

They’re standing close, as Luhan busied himself arranging the tie around Kai’s neck while the older brunette held his slim waist in a seductive way. He felt Kai’s gaze on his temple, and he smiled mischievously, knew the man was admiring this black sleeveless animated shirt on him. Well, it also happened that he wore a pair of too short pants which made Kai can’t stop complaining about them for a while now.

“Anything edible is fine.” Kai answered, eyes still pierced at the pale thighs which were shown at the end of his wife’s pants, “seriously, sweetie, don’t you think your pants are too short?” Kai asked it again while leaning his fingers to touch the milky pale skin, “see, ten more centimeters up and then it’s your cute bum.” He ended it with a joke, earning a cute pout from Luhan.

“But this is summer.” Luhan whined softly, “and I’m easily got sweaty.”

“Then wear skirt, it’s more airy.” Kai pecked the pouty pink lips.

“But I’m a boy!”

“Really?” Kai laughed. A hand inappropriately travelled down from the hips and suddenly Luhan face became as red as a tomato, “so this princess is a boy, huh? I don’t know it before.”

He married to a ert. Luhan was sure about it. He meant, he didn’t mind with the tease and all, sure it felt good to be loved but the reality was a hard thing to believe. Whether it’s because the good luck was never on his side before or because he never really experienced being loved like this, it started to tickle him in a wrong way. It was as if he turned into a human-shaped bomb which can be exploded anytime.

“Would you stop touching?” Luhan grabbed the hand away from his inner thighs, “you’ll get late to work.”

“You’re right.” Kai placed his hands around Luhan’s neck and when Luhan thought he will get another peck, the man only stared at him, with the deep gaze and a gleam smile on the handsome face. Just because of it, this heart raced and he needed to avert his gaze and grumbled under his breath as a protest for getting stared intently like a prey. No, it’s not because he didn’t like it, he just didn’t want to admit it out loud at how easy he got captivated by this man’s charm and he’s afraid what would happen to him, if he fall in love too hard and can’t live a life without this man anymore.

“Oh, I almost forgot.”

When they were standing next to each other at the small kitchen making their morning beverage in a red mug, Kai asked Luhan, “have you told your parents that we’re getting married?” the man didn’t see a dark cloud in Luhan’s eyes and the boy looked down to see the hot milky tea to cover the sudden pain suffocated his own self at the words from his husband, “I mean, I was too occupied with the wedding papers and forgot to ask for bless, I feel bad about it.”

Luhan didn’t like this conversation.

“I promise, when I gather enough money, we will go to China to visit your parents-…”

“They live in Seoul.” Luhan stared at Kai with worry, and when the man frowned at hearing his murmurs, it felt like he was one inch from getting broken heart, “I’m a Chinese, but that doesn’t mean my parents live in China.”

“Wait.” Kai released his hand from the mug and tapped Luhan’s shoulder, let the younger brunette flinched at the gentleness he didn’t expect to get. “Then why did you live in dorm?” Kai asked, “I thought you were a foreign student studying in Korea.”

“I’m sorry, I-…”

The alarm on Kai’s watch beeped, and there was a silence slipped in between them for a while. It felt like storm would come, cause he didn’t know what will happen to Kai, to this marriage life after the torturous second of peace ended. Just by imagining the worst, he bit his bottom lips and started to blame himself for everything-…

“Luhan.”

However, he forgot he was loved, he forgot this is the man who married him just because of love, and risked their life for being together with him. So when Kai cupped his face and touched his bitten lips, tried to ease away the torture he did to both his flesh and his heart, he froze as he remembered again who he was, why he was here and why they were together. “It’s okay.” the words from Kai’s lips sounded like a cure as the man smiled, “we’ll be okay. Nothing will happen to you or to us so let’s talk about this later, kay? Promise?”

Luhan nodded, when the words can’t pass his throat anymore. Suddenly he felt nothing in this world important anymore. Everything turned into dust, and the only one real was this man in front of him. He was in love, he fell in love in such a short time but he didn’t feel afraid of broken heart or getting trashed away. What he saw was the colorful world where he would spend with the best husband in the world, that’s why he promised Kai, and himself, no matter what happened later, even after Kai knew his dark secret, he believed the one he loved won’t turn a back at him.

“I promise.”
