Let Her Go
Love is more than a thousand words and Kyungsoo doesn’t understand. He doesn’t get the pain the constricts his breathing. Like a lost child, he cries, rain pouring on a dim Friday morning.
Jongin is still asleep.
Inside his room, the redhead is leaning against the frame of his door. He continues to sob quietly and yet he doesn’t still know the reason why. So many questions float inside his head and there’s a definite answer for each but it is all mashed up like a wrecked piece of sculpture with no certainty on how it could even be fix.
He loves the dancer with no sight.
Yes.
No.
Yes.
No.
Kyungsoo contradicts it.
“I love…I love Jongin.” Kyungsoo admits in a hushed voice. Footsteps come near as he hiccups and he stands up in a haze while wiping his tears in an uncoordinated motion. As the knocks grow louder, the older male fixes himself and he opens the door, faking a smile.
Jongin coughs a little and smiles back. “Good morning.” He arches a brow as if noticing something and then shivers as the cold wind passes him by. “Didn’t think it’d be this cold today. But wait, why is your voice-”
“Hoarse?”
Kyungsoo finishes the latter’s question and he matches it with a tight lipped smile. He shakes his head and simply takes a single step away from the confused man. “Guessed it's really the weather .” He answers and Jongin’s eyes shows that he doesn’t buy his response though he just keeps his mouth shut. Wanting to avoid the awkward the atmosphere that was about to come, Kyungsoo turns his back first and closes the door with a lame excuse.
Left standing in front of Kyungsoo’s room, Jongin is utterly puzzled.

It’s one week after Jongin’s birthday and Kyungsoo is almost done with his sculpture, he receives a call early in the morning and a cheery Luhan greets him from the other line.
Kyungsoo chuckles.
“Things finally worked out, am I right?”
“More than right Kyungie.” Luhan states, the happiness in his tone more than noticeable. “Sehun’s going back with me on the planned date and I hope you could help me finish my one last gift to him before the proposal.”
“Gift? And what’s that supposed to be?”
Luhan stays silent in the other line for a few minutes before he speaks.
“Help me find a man named Kai.”
The redhead drops his phone and the line is left hanging.

15 missed calls from Luhan.
That’s what the screen of Kyungsoo’s phone reflects as he sits with a daze expression, arms simply limp against his sides. He does this for the first time to be exact and it feels strange to be rejecting his best friend’s call when he never ever did it, not even during those times when they’d have an argument. It just feels wrong speci
