Chapter 23- Friends

It was early morning and you were home in your apartment, even though you had become a worker for TS entertainment you still had your school to take care of and some friends, who you didn’t see much. You got ready to go back to your school and you were glad that you only had a few months left of school, because your Korean and English courses would end. Then you would be able to have more time for Yongguk and less stress, because of homework. Your friend Soo Min, was still sleeping. You knocked on Soo Min’s door, you head her yawn. “Yah Soo Min get up!” you exclaimed.

A while later, you finished your breakfast and Soo Min was still yawning at the dinner- table.

“You have been so busy lately. I rarely see you. Did you get some new job, which you haven’t told be about?”

Your friend asked you and you thought about Yongguk and B.A.P. You felt really guilty for not telling your friend about your relationship to Yongguk, B.A.P and TS entertainment. It wasn’t because you didn’t trust your friend, it was for the sake of B.A.P’s safety and you would tell her when the time was right. Somehow you were scared of her reaction.

Soo Min was eating her breakfast peacefully, while you were looking at her and she caught your gaze.

“Is there something you want to tell me? You seem really distracted” Soo Min looked at you questioning and you blinked your eyes a few times before you shook your head.

“No, it’s nothing. I am leaving now. I’ll see you around in the school”

You kissed Soo Min’s cheeks and left hurryingly before she caught you and read your thoughts. Just by a gaze, Soo Min would know what you were feeling and thinking about. That’s what best friends do. They always know how their friends are feeling.  

Your first lesson went well, there was surprisingly no drama in class and no one was looking at you suspiciously. You did remember that Yongguk and you once sat together in the canteen long ago and people stared at you. Soo Min told you that you had been the center of all the gossip, while you were gone. It really bugged you, because this wasn’t a school for teenagers, but adults and yet they acted like teenagers.

However there was a certain person you hadn’t seen in a long while. Jaejoong, your best guy friend and you couldn’t help but wonder where he was.  

You closed your locker and sighed deeply.

“What are you deep thinking about pretty?”

You looked up and saw Jaejoong, he was surprised to see you and pulled you into a hug. You hugged Jaejoong back. But after a while he still didn’t let go of you and you nudged his shoulder.

“You can let go now” you said while laughing at your friend.

Jaejoong chuckled at your comment and let go of you.

“Where have you been these past weeks?”

Jaejoong asked you, he looked worried and yet curious at the same time. You remembered the little lie you had told Soo Min before you left for B.A.P’s tour. You had told Soo Min that you would be gone for a little vacation to visit your family, so you told Jaejoong the same thing and he nodded.

“I missed you around here” Jaejoong said.

You felt bad for lying, but brushed off the bad thoughts and smiled to Jaejoong.

“I also missed you” you told Jaejoong, he smiled and pushed your shoulder gently.

“Liar, you didn’t miss me at all or you would have contacted me at least once” he said and rolled with his eyes.

You bit your lip lightly and started walking away. Jaejoong caught up on your footsteps.

“Don’t tell me you got a new girlfriend?” you said to Jaejoong, who raised his brows, looked at you confused and questioning. You pointed towards an angry girl, who was coming directly towards the two of you. Jaejoong saw this and panicked.

“Talk to you later pretty”

Jaejoong said and literally ran away and you couldn’t help but laugh at this. It was typical of him. He hadn’t changed at all, even though you were gone for a short while.

The lessons ended well and you got to talk to your teacher Mr. Choi. He was the only person, who actually knew that you worked for B.A.P after all he was the one who recommended you to TS entertainment. You had thanked him for his help, because you got a lot of experience thanks to him. Mr. Choi was happy on your behalf and also proud, because you were one of his students.

You got out of the school, once you were off and went on the backside of the school. Yongguk sent you a message that he would come to pick you up. Even though you had said that you would go home on your own, but he insisted that he wanted to come and pick you up. You told Yongguk about the CEO’s words that the both of you had to be careful. Yongguk got frustrated, because he wanted to have that normal kind of relationship to you. So you let him come, you knew he was stubborn and wouldn’t listen.
